I've said for years, don't listen to Jim Watt or his scorecards.
I had it close, but thought Brook had it by 1 or 2 rounds. I had to switch the sound off, because Jim Watt was talking so much shite. Running forward and grabbing may look aggressive, but Porter wasn't landing enough clean shots. Hardly a great performance from Brook either, if you are going into somebody's backyard as challenger, you have to throw more combinations and take some risks. He just about did enough IMHO

Hate Jim Watt.
'Luckily' I watched on a Youtube rip taken from a Russian channel and was then shocked to see ' Robbery' upload following on from it. Crazy.
Was messy, slightly boring fight but the rounds weren't hard to score imo.
H, was Jim giving the ol "He's far too negative Ian, he's not doing the things he's supposed to be doing, these are the wrong tactics Ian, this is stupid!"?

I thought you said, you didn't listen to the SKY commentary lol.
Watt's scoring always has been almost beyond belief for a former boxer.

They will retire him soon. Once you become out of touch and not able to read fights then you will be replaced.

He was already like that before they employed him.
Re: I've said for years, don't listen to Jim Watt or his scorecards.
Just watched this and I have to say I am drunk as shit but neither dude landed much so have to go on agression and give it to porter, but that was a SHIT fight, there was more holding than if wladdy fought ruiz. Brook proved far more durable than I thought and I have to admit I was wrong in thinking he'd be kod but that was seriously just a shit fight and glad i caught it now instead of forgoing a night on the town to watch this shit.
Re: I've said for years, don't listen to Jim Watt or his scorecards.
Sky need to get rid of him. He does no research and would appear he only watches boxing he commentates on. He cant score for shit and decides whos won the round with 40 seconds left in the round and wont change his mind based on what happens in the last 40 seconds unless there is some serious damage done.
Sky have a lot of guys who would do a much better job then Watt. Its very frustrating.
Re: I've said for years, don't listen to Jim Watt or his scorecards.
I had Brook clearly winning 116-112.
Watt was giving Porter rounds for ineffective aggression.
Re: I've said for years, don't listen to Jim Watt or his scorecards.
I think the right hands that Alex Arguello landed on Jim Watt may have effected him.

Bring back the dream team, Ian Darke and Glen McCrory

Yeah, actually his knowledge is poor, but there is something nostalgic about those 2 together for me.

Jim watts scoring is often rubbish but I think he's the best commentator around, really helps with the excitement of the fight
His enthusiasm and tones and accent is second to none
Even his shit scoring helped with the anticipation of the result, I thought brook was a couple of rounds up but watts scores made me really doubt it, I was on the edge of me seat waiting for the announcement
