Fights in which a fighter was CLEARLY overconfident
Win or lose.
Pavlik vs Hopkins. Pavlik's camp were boasting about how he was going to knock B-Hop out, but instead got schooled. Pavlik's career hasn't been the same since.
Ali vs Frazier I. Ali was shuckin' and jiving early on and gave away the first 3-4 rounds.
Floyd vs Castillo I
*"Overconfident" and "unmotivated" are not the same.*

Groves in the second fight after a lot of people forgot what Froch had done to so many other champions and thought Frochs time had passed...

Larry Holmes vs. Muhammad Ali
Word has it, that Larry bet $1,000,000 on himself {at 'Even Odds'} that he would 'stop' Ali.
Larry pulled in a 'cool' million.
Now that's confidence.
Re: Fights in which a fighter was CLEARLY overconfident
Lennox Lewis vs Hasim Rahman I .....Lennox was just thinking Rahman was gonna lay down for him. How wrong he was.
Mike Tyson vs Buster Douglas...Tyson simply didn't train and of course it didn't help Buster was dedicated to victory as his mother just passed away before the fight.

Lets be fair and honest, are you saying Groves didn't make Froch look bad in their first fight?😳
Did at the start because froch underestimated him, but Groves still didn't win when Froch had a bad start. That made Groves over confident in the second because Froch had a bad day in the office.
Re: Fights in which a fighter was CLEARLY overconfident
Felix Trinidad vs. Wink Wright... he sure, sure, sure as hell thought he would knock Wright out. He cried afterwards.
;D
Khan vs. Garcia. Khan could have sworn he would outbox and out-class Garcia. Until he got chin checked.
;D
Camacho vs. Chavez... Camacho actually felt he would win that fight. lololol.....

I think Berbick was overconfident with Tyson, he fought the most stupid fight possible. I do not know what was his strategy. Charge of the light brigade.
