Re: What style is Pacquiao?
Manny is a boxer puncher and with experience has developed some defensive measures and just to simplify matters he is a little bit more defensive now, he ducks every so often.

Manny is not a good enough boxer to be called a boxer puncher.
Re: What style is Pacquiao?
Southpaws in general are maybe a bit harder to categorize as they all fight against the grain. I think of Pacman now as a volume puncher with great boxing skills. Not sure pressure fighter fits any more, as he doesn't really get anything done on the inside and is by no means constantly coming forward. He used to throw a lot more, hit harder, but neglect defense completely.

Tell that to Dela hoya, margarito and cotto. Manny may not be s the slick boxer that you see with Floyd but he has beat many boxers using his amazing footwork. Just because people can point out his flaws doesn't mean he's not a boxer as well as a puncher.

In boxing,it's not just WHO you fight,it's WHEN you fight them.;D
This is what Freddy Roach said about the fighters you named:
"Oscar can't pull the trigger any more, especially at 147"
"Cotto is not the same fighter since getting KO'd by Margarito"
"Margarito is not the same fighter since getting KO'd by Mosley"
Re: What style is Pacquiao?
If I had to classify him, I would say he practices centipede style.

Where did I put my electronic flyswatter? It works on trolls too.
You're the troll if you actually think Manny is an excellent boxer.
Excellent boxers don't fall-in one one foot with their hands by their balls.
Re: What style is Pacquiao?
It's funny how Pacquiao is still being dismiss by anti-pac. I think many times Pac's opponents have underestimated him because he came from the Philippines with 2 knockout loses and is displayed as just a brawler. It's always been their first mistake.
I think the fighting style Pacquiao has is his own. Pre-Lightweight division, I think he was a volume pressure fighter with great power. I think in the higher division he had to be a Range General, relying on his footwork and hand speed to beat welterweights, attacking with combos and underrated boxing ability.
I also think the whole pacquiao hasn't had a knockout argument is weak because many of Pacquiaos fights should have been stopped. Margarito and Algerie leads the list. The refs in those matches actually gets in stopping Pacquiaos attack but seem to change their minds right when Pacquiao stops attacking. Only in boxing. Also the lack of will in Pacquiaos opponent to exchange with him.
Re: What style is Pacquiao?
Footwork is not falling into punches on one leg.
Pac is sloppy as hell.
