Re: Tennis: U.S. Open 2015
Martina Hingis was kicking Graff's ass until her stalker fan stabbed poor little beautiful Hingis.
Murray looks in good form and he does well at this Open.
Re: Tennis: U.S. Open 2015
Most people have a soft spot for Federer
Re: Tennis: U.S. Open 2015
Wow.... 1st major upset.
It seems Rafa Nadal has lost to 32-seed Fabio Fognini after having a two sets to love lead.
Re: Tennis: U.S. Open 2015
The only player that got me interested was John McEnroe. I liked it when he would snap and go off on the officials.

I was more of a Borg man and hated the young upstart from USA.

He wasn't the most loved- based on his behavior. As a kid back then- he was funny as hell.

I appreciated McCinroe when he was beating Conners who I did not like.
I was a Lendle fan and Courrier later.

Typical of you to objectify women as sexual objects.

Looks like a Williams sisters showdown in the quarterfinals. I hope Venus makes it competitive, at least.
Re: Tennis: U.S. Open 2015
Federer was just sublime again against Isner. He just plays the most beautiful tennis I've ever seen ..... And to do it at age 34, on slow courts (even the grass courts are significantly slower now that a few years ago since they changed the type of grass they use)' with fluffier balls against power orientated baselines with incredible racket technology is just unbelievable.
He has seen off Sampras and Agassi's generation, Lleyton Hewitts generation, Andy roddicks generation, it looks like he's seen off Nadal's generation and now he is world number two in Djokovic and Murrays generation. Awesome.
What's even more remarkable is how he has changed and improved his repertoire and game to meet every challenge.
One of the greatest athletes and sportsmen you will see in this lifetime.
