He's just wasting his talent. Just wasting it. SOG is not using his talent the way the "Real G" intended it.... and that is to be a shining light to all.
You're blowing it, son. You're blowing it!!!

well if he finally gets going again and goes on to fight Kovalav after 3 fights like hbo want then I'd be happy with that, he's certainly wasted a good couple of years though, hopefully he pushes on and wins a few more big fights and belts and then he could be pretty happy with his career.
Andre Ward is the most overrated boxer in the sport.
He's a prima donna who demands home advantage, calls out boxers from smaller weight divisions to attempt to get them to move up for him, and uses illegal tactics with shady referees like Jack Reiss who permit it.
He should never have won a gold medal in the Olympics, his opponent was robbed in the semi-finals.
He hired Victor Conte the PED guru and refuses to do random PED testing.
He has delusions of grandeur, believing himself to be the son of God and he feels that he's the most important man in the sport, even though he rarely fights.
Ward is nothing without his clinching, clamping, head butts and other illegal tactics. If he ever fights a decent opponent with an honest referee, he'll get exposed.
So many holes. Where to start?
Well, religion is stupid but that is no reason to be ignorant about it. If you are familiar with Christianity it says we are all gods children so every person is the SOG. Calling yourself SOG means nothing other than he is Christian.
As for the boxing analysis, it is so wrong it is not even worth discussing.
Hopefully Ward gets in with the best and gets destroyed. But it's not likely because questionable tactics or not he is quite obviously one of the best fighters in the world.
Religion is most definitely NOT stupid, and that's an odd way to start a counterargument. Most Christians that I know don't go around with S.O.G. tattooed across their foreheads. With Ward, it comes across as self-aggrandizing.
Don't see anything wrong with the rest of the analysis either. Ward is widely regarded as not a very fan-friendly fighter, and his odd tactics have a lot to do with it. Many fans would rather watch grass grow than a Ward fight. Thankfully, that only happens once every millennium, which is my biggest beef with Ward. Then when he finally DOES decide to fight, he seeks out such laughable opponents that not even the applicable boxing commissions will swallow the bait.
No... Freedom is right on point. The fact that Ward is still talked about in boxing forums has to be one of the biggest mysteries in sport. I've seen cars owned by 90-year old grandmothers that have seen more action than Ward in the last years.
At least we're all in agreement about wanting for Ward to get destroyed.
It seems as if people's frustrations of Ward's ring inactivity has affected people's opinions of him. He's still a Class A elite fighter.
Thats a crock of shit and dismissed as ridiculous in 3 different court proceedings. If anything, he ripped Goossen off. My lord man, the guy had the world at his finger tips and when there was nothing left at 168 to prove he went on strike with some fake moral awakening.
Ward has literally done nothing but avoid the last 4 plus years after best win. If he thinks he can go from Barrera to Kovalev he's as high as a kite.
After Barrera beats him that will be Dans fault also for forcing him into self imposed exile and wasting his career.
There can only be one explanation as to why people (some) continue to defend Ward so much.
In a division dominated by Europeans at the moment, Ward stands alone as an American superstar who had his days in the sun. So matter how long, inexplicable, and frustrating the inactivity.... it's all forgiven. Well, he gets no such pass from me. I didn't like his fighting style when he WAS fighting..... and now that he's not fighting, I like his style even less.
