Charles Martin - interesting comment
I liked his comment in the sky joshua showdown..
"I never liked to fight i'm just very good at boxing"
Makes me think he's got a pretty decent shot with that kind of intelligence shown in his comments - rare amongst boxers I think
Re: Charles Martin - interesting comment
That usually means that they have no heart either. They do the sport because they have talent but when it gets really tough, they fold.
Re: Charles Martin - interesting comment
Martin comes across as a quietly confident fella but at the same time someone that can't believe their luck they've landed this massive payday. If AJ sploshes him he'll probably never be heard of again
Re: Charles Martin - interesting comment
It's a must win for Martin more than for AJ, as if he does get blown out here he'll likely never hope to see a payday again. I think that's probably the most likely scenario as well, but still hard to call as Martin is also a huge guy an could have some extra gear he hasn't had to show yet. He looks a bit pedestrian, but at the same time seems to pace himself well and doesn't waste punches, it can be hard to read guys like that until they step up. I'd think if this goes past the mid rounds it could get interesting.
Re: Charles Martin - interesting comment
As much as I laughed when Martin was lined up to win a trinket i'm warming to this fight. Title is secondary as it's a quality match with two young undefeateds in the wasteland of the heavyweight division.
Re: Charles Martin - interesting comment
I want to think theres more in the locker with Martin, but if you're busting a gut in the last round trying to get rid of a guy your next opponent smashed in a couple of rounds and you're drawing with a guy who gets beat by Malik Scott and Ruiz Jnr, Im not so sure.
I cant see any footage of his draw so maybe being a bit harsh on Martin. On paper though, we've seen what he's got.
Interesting when they stood up for the face off. He was saying size doesnt matter before he even got a proper look at Joshua.

Agreed. There are very few fights that are tbh. I'll be getting it on YouTube the next day. Whichever way it goes, I don't see it going the distance.
Seems a bit more competitive than usual, especially if you look at the odds, still not worth 17 quid
Re: Charles Martin - interesting comment
This fight should hbe on Dave, free to the public. Joke fight for the title. How standards have dropped.

Good point. Jermaine Taylor said the same thing more or less.

Yeah he did look abit slow and flat footed vs Glasgov but in training at Mosley gym in big bear, his body looked improved. I'm predicting he will have lost weight tomorrow at the weigh in. And if he hasn't he will certainly look more ripped than he did in his last fight. That muffin top had gone from his sides

Btw I didnt mean Taylor had no heart but that he never liked boxing and perhaps fell short for a man with that much talent. His mind set overall may have been the difference.

If he showed the same desire as he did against B Hop then he could have ruled for a long time.
