Can Eubank beat Golovkin in they fight in two years?
Predictions people!
Ipersonally don't think he hits hard enough to keep Golovkin off him now - and in probaaly a years time too.
2 Years? Toughie - Golovkin will be slightly slower - toughie for me.
Would not be surprised to see this fight made in 2018 though towards the backend

Depends how many times Eubank Jr. swerves him. He swerved a rematch with Saunders to fight Blackwell , and it looks like he's swerved Jacobs twice.
You never know , by 2 years time, he might step up to the plate. He won't be fighting GGG though. By then GGG would've had to step up to SMW to satisfy people's demands of him.

"Satisfy peoples demands of him"
why does that sound aggressive? Why does it sound like you think it's wrong that people should want one of the best fighters in the sport to fight a good opponent? How many top, I don't know, let's say 100, yeah, how many top 100 P4P fighters has he fought? I'm rather sure it's 0. Does that make sense? One of the top 5 fighters in the sport and I doubt highly that he has fought a top 100 guy, that's how it should be? Wanting good fighters to fight good fighters is wrong now?
Honestly, is there a different set of rules for GGG than all of boxing history? I want to see him in a good fight. That doesn't sound like a demand, it sounds like being a fan. I waited patiently the first couple years, yes years, now I have lost my patience. That seems natural.
Yes, my post is intended to be aggressive because 6 years ago I was pumped about this guy and still I wait for him. 6 fuckin years!
No , I wasn't offering an "aggressive" opinion, I was stating what people expect of him. The only person who has formed an aggressive opinion is you, which you freely admit.
I don't have a problem with him fighting good fighters, we obviously all want that. Unfortunately , there aren't any in his weight class that are prepared to fight him.
What I am against is circus acts. You've always made it quite clear for example, that he should fight Ward. So, to "satisfy your demands", he should give up all his strengths (power, strength) to move up a weight and fight technically , on his day, one of the best (if not THE best ) fighters on the planet?
Furthermore, he has to give up Height and reach as well! And wait for the pleasure because of the irregularity that Ward fights. Doesn't sound like a fair fight to me.
I have said before, if they ever fought, I think Ward wins. If Ward is anywhere near his best, he probably beats Kovalev as well, so I have no dislike of Ward, and I'm not blowing sunshine up GGG's ass saying he's one of the greats, because we can't possibly know.
He just happens to be easily the best in his division at the moment.
Finally, as frustrated and aggressive as you are about GGG , I am about Ward. He's thrown the peak years of his career away, and he had no business calling out GGG when he ends up fighting Paul Smith at 172lbs.
Re: Can Eubank beat Golovkin in they fight in two years?
Sure he could. I don't know if anyone else noticed based on how the fight ended last night but Golovkin looked odd in the first round. I know he's a slow starter but something looked off. He looked a little stiff and flabby. In my opinion the worst mistake he has made thus far was moving to L.A.

I have to be honest, I also thought he looked a bit flabby , but because I watched it the next morning on youtube, it was quite a blurry picture, so I wasn't sure. He also took a few punches , which I know happens regularly. Max Kellerman is really trying to make a big story of that, but I don't necessarily buy that.
based on the standards he sets, even though he blasted Wade out of there, I thought it was his least impressive performance for a long time. I stress that is based on the standards he has set.
Re: Can Eubank beat Golovkin in they fight in two years?
I thought GGG looked a bit fleshy too. I'm wondering if we will ever see him at his best. All we have seen so far is him beating people up. People he knows he can beat up so he's taking liberties with his chin/defence. I've thought for a while that a fight will come along that will showcase him in full flow. If enough time passes and he loses half a step his whole career might be a series of brute force beatdowns.
Re: Can Eubank beat Golovkin in they fight in two years?
i'm not that arsed about waiting for the canelo fight
I cant see it happening and if it does it will probably be another year
id like to see him step up now, there must be a few half decent super middles that would fancy their chances right now
Re: Can Eubank beat Golovkin in they fight in two years?
I've no idea because i've still not seen him in with anyone i'd fancy to beat Eubank Jr.
Re: Can Eubank beat Golovkin in they fight in two years?
very true but you'd have to say he holds wins over fighters Eubank wouldn't have found so easy
Re: Can Eubank beat Golovkin in they fight in two years?
Eubank Jr will be chinned before he ever gets near GGG's level. He's just a punchup merchant without sparkage power. Lemieux would decapitate him.

Yep, agree. At last someone who sees through all the bullshit surrounding Eubank Jr.
Eubank Lemieux is a good fight if you ask me
I forgot about him when agreeing with ono that Eubank could beat all of GGGs opponents
I reckon it could go either way
Re: Can Eubank beat Golovkin in they fight in two years?
I think there's several GGG victims that Jr would struggle with, but if he tried to have a shootout with Lemieux he'd be put to kip. He thinks he's a massive puncher but he's evidently not.
Re: Can Eubank beat Golovkin in they fight in two years?
Jnr has got a serious case of Carl Froch syndrome. The sooner he realises he's not Julian Jackson the better. Fortunately he seems to be a right hard fucker like Froch too.
