Tony Bellew-Ilunga Makabu - Sunday/Sky 6pm.
From when it was made I strongly fancied Makabu to chin Bellew.
However, I can see Bellew doing well. If he can make it "boring," keeps Makabu on the end of his jab and takes it deep he has a chance. Problem is Bellew is slow and the last time he fought a big punching quick handed southpaw he was splattered. If Makabu gets inside it's goodnight vienna.
Makabu KO - 6/5
The undercard features every fighter in Liverpool
Callum Smith
David Price
Stephen Smith
etc

I fancy Bellew here. Keep him at distance and its an easy nights work for him.

I'm probably going to be getting drunk during this card, with no work on Monday, so looking forward to an interesting night.
Personally, I reckon Bellew has the adaptability to change his style, and will do so here to nullify Makabu for the most of the fight. That should be enough for Bellew to grab the win.

Makabu will knock out Bellew
Surprised this is not box office.

Got my ticket with 10 of my lads, fingers crossed Bellew gets chined!!
Re: Tony Bellew-Ilunga Makabu - Sunday/Sky 6pm.
Why is this on Sunday? Bank holiday Monday coming up?
Re: Tony Bellew-Ilunga Makabu - Sunday/Sky 6pm.
I used to think he was okay Bellew but he is hard to like, things change I can't stand him I shall being
watching tonight, boxing on a Saturday and Sunday night what ever next.;D
Re: Tony Bellew-Ilunga Makabu - Sunday/Sky 6pm.
Bellew doesn't wind me up like it seems he does everyone else. He thinks he's better than what he is but oh well.
I'd like him to win even though i've backed him to be sparked out.

Yes in a nutshell big mouth bark like a pitbull bite like a goldfish.

If bellew wins Britain has another world champ and if makabu wins then atleast we get to see bellew beaten up. Either way it's win win
At first glance makabu appears to be abit small and unless you know his record you'd expect he's been brought in as the opponent but having a look at him on YouTube he has a touch of class and a nasty streak which I think will be too much for bellew
Re: Tony Bellew-Ilunga Makabu - Sunday/Sky 6pm.
David Price weighed in at 273 pounds for this fight apparently, seems like a desperate move to try and change something. I'm sure his opponent is complete rubbish, but how is that extra weight going to help him?

He must know that this is the last chance saloon for his career.
I don't know who he is fighting but I'm guessing it's an absolute bum
The guy who beat him last time has failed a drugs test though, might give him a little more credibility.
The card does have the look of a parade of local favourites until you get up towards the last two or three fights. Still, nothing better to do with the day off tomorrow!

If you watch his last fight, it's hard to come to that conclusion imo. Teper didn't even look like he was in shape and barely had to expend any energy. A cheats a cheat, but Price looked like he would have been sparked out by anyone decent that night.
