Your Nation's worst Drug problem(s)
National center for health, to CDC show that
Prescription Drug deaths have risen every year since Y2K.
Pills from street to pharmaceutical has been an issue in the states for decades.
Crack use in America peaked early 1980-1995 with incarceration as the best resolution.
Now Heroine has risen in Small towns to suburbs. Politicians are requesting tax payer dollars to fund rehabilitation, not incarceration.
Except
Acording to the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, heroin users skyrocketed from about 373,000 in 2007 to 669,000 in 2012, and the number of those with heroin "dependence or abuse" more than doubled from 2002 to 2012, jumping from about 214,000 to 467,000. A recent report commissioned by the Office of National Drug Control Policy and prepared by the Rand Corp. says that in 2010 there were closer to 1.5 million "chronic heroin users" in the U.S.
Is there drug use, overdose or death rampant in your city, state, country?
Has your position changed on dealing with illicit drug use?

Gotta be alcohol where I am from, (erdington, birmingham)
Having said that though the amount of cocaine in people shove up their nostrils is quite frightening, definitely more people on that than 10 years ago.
Re: Your Nation's worst Drug problem(s)
Cigarettes and alcohol are pretty deadly and even deadlier in combination. They are cheap and readily available on any street corner. In a way I am glad that those are the only real menaces as I would hate to see junkies and speed freaks all over the place. People are bad enough on the coffee!

In prisons it is the new legal highs which they are licking up in the letters.
Re: Your Nation's worst Drug problem(s)
I do understand why people do drugs, we live in a jail, people who dont get any futher stays in the same rented apartment, working to pay their loans, they cant go anywhere, stuck with it, do drugs to escape the scene. i dont blame them i would too if i was in that situation.

This is my two hippies i really look up to. They call us misfits, they later became addicted of heroin, broke into cars and took the stereo and sold, they had to steal 10 car stereos to earn a days trip on heroin, rough life. Swedish tv followed them on the streets and made a documentary about these two, they are 17 year olds in this clip. one died in OD, they other one is still making music.

The Ripple man. The Ripple. Locally we have drive thru beer and daiquiri shops on the same corners as Taco Bell. Alcohol is everywhere. Seems Heroin is on the up also with more arrests. Herb is around. I heard.

When I was 20 something and asked why smoke marijuana, your problems don't go away.
My response was simple, I liked getting high.

I like the freedom of smoking weed. The Government is not your Momma. Make drugs legal is the only way to control the problem.

Ummmm, no not really Master. I believe you should watch Ken Burns' Prohibition and see what happens when there's a massive demand for something and those in power say "No, we're not going to allow you to have that"....well, let me show you actually....

Prohibition, be it for alcohol or drugs allows for guys who aren't so nice to get propped up guys like Al Capone, Pablo Escobar, El Chapo....those folks had a lot of blood on their hands and beyond that the police put away a lot of people and ruined a lot of lives and for what? Who the fuck is the government to tell me what I can and can't put in my body? I can drink beer and liquor literally until I die but I can't smoke 1 joint? Ridiculous.
