So where does Zab go from here?
What's next?
I'm not a Zab fan by any means but don't mean for this to turn into a hate thread, just tell me what you think he should do, take a tuneup or two or jump right back in and try to get a good win to get back on track.
Any ideas about a specific next fight?
Re: So where does Zab go from here?
Zab will probably be in another tough fight. Because he can't afford to miss an opportunity on tuneups, and its not like it will be televised. So zab probably will go back to where he was after the Weis win. Probably be 7 months before he fights again, but he isn't done by any means.
Re: So where does Zab go from here?
He's perfectly placed to go in as the non-house fighter for the other welters making a run at Mayweather. He won't cost the other guys that much but I'm not sure if they would think he's too much of a risk

Weiss was a tough fight. He's a good fighter, but Zab was determined at that point. After suffering a Ko, and being humiliated by his behavior, Zab did great coming back. Same with the Spinks fight. I think Zab's feelings will be hurt because he lost to his rival, but it's not like he got embarassed.

That's what I say. If Floyd signs a fight with Oscar, then Margarito will fight someone. Zab could take a tune-up, and then get a fight with Tony for sure, or the winner of Gatti-Baldomir. Especially if Gatti wins, because he don't want Floyd.
Zab is a big name, and losing to one of the best p4p, and not getting KOd, and doing well, still gives him a little clout.
I hope he makes some good moves. Good lick Zab!
Re: So where does Zab go from here?
It's a tough one for the guy now,I mean who will want to fight him,he does not have the title anymore. Um,if Floyd ducks Margarito, then maybe Zab could fill in?

That's what i was saying. Fighters are going to think, because he lost his last two, and almost got KOd in one of them, that he's not for real like people once thought. But, his name is bigger than most, so guys looking to come up, or guys who aren't getting a shot {Margarito}, would jump at him.
But, I think Zab still has something, and someone who takes him lightly, will be suprised.

Yeah I agree, I don't like him as a person, his childish ways do not sit well with me BUT he did well last night and is a good fighter. Yes,I did just say that!

:coolclick: For being honest. Most people on this site wouldn't think that I would say it either, but, Zab is a good fighter, that needs to grow up.
Re: So where does Zab go from here?
Yeah, but c'mon guys. I was thoroughly entertained by Zab's "EAST SIDE!" move.
Yeah, he's a dirty fighter. We always knew that. Choking Jay Nady is lower than low.
Zab did good. And should be proud of himself yes.
But in all honesty, he shortchanged himself, rather than proud, he could be drunk with joy at dominating Floyd, had he kept up his output.
C'mon. He matched Floyd in everything, except he had power. ;)
But Mayweather had focus, something Judah has always lacked.

I have not seen the fight yet so I cannot really say but yeah, it does seem as though had Zab continued as he did with the first few rounds, he could actually have won?!? I heard his corner wanted him to let his hands to go, he should have just gone all out, I mean this was possibly his last big big chance!! I would have just put it all on the line!!

I have to disagree with you on this, Zab was out-boxing Floyd. The reason he didn't, and wouldn't dominate was, he didn't make adjustments. Floyd made adjustments, and went to the body. After a couple of rounds, you can't say Zab didn't look like a different fighter. People say Zab lost focus, or Zab lost confidence. Bullshat! Those body-shots slowed him, and hurt him. When Zab hit Floyd low, Floyd had just hit him with some body-shots. Zab never altered forom the double jab, and the 1-2. Randomly throwing a body shot. Zab has a killer uppercut, and I don't remember him throwing one!
Zab was dominating, but he just didn't quit. The body work is what changed the fight.
Re: So where does Zab go from here?
Actually.... I "THINK" it was Zab who was landing the more effective body blows in the beginning. Floyd didn't do them effectively, until Zab stopped.
But I'm willing to say, I may be a freagin' bast*rd and be harsh on Zab.
Great Fight Night though.
:beerchug: Arce, Diaz, Cotto, even JC.

Cotto-Diaz was great. Diaz showed he's willing to fight. Now, lets see if he can handle a big puncher.
Re: So where does Zab go from here?
I wonder who Zab will fight next?
