Should AJ fight Jake Paul?
I normally ignore everything with Jake Paul and boxing but this cannot be avoided. There is a slight possibility that AJ may face this you tuber who has made an impact on the game.
I say that under normal circumstances AJ should not even consider it because it lowers his reputation, Logan is just using his name and has no real interest in getting splattered to lose his revenue and boxing is becoming a circus.
Jake Paul has done some good things for boxing. He has brought more eyes to boxing including younger fans than ever before and the support he has provided to women boxers is amazing but he is still a cunt who only fights old boxers, old UFC/MMA fighters and novice boxers. Getting himself ranked higher than real serious professionals who would wipe the floor with him.
As a result, I think AJ should face Jake Paul for the good of boxing. He should wipe him out and save the sport we so dearly love, and he is making a laughingstock.
AJ can make a heap of money and so can other boxers on the undercard.
It stops Fury taking this opportunity and making a fool of himself against Jake Paul.
AJ can then move on to more serious challenges and gain confidence that boxing fans will see the good service he has provided the fans.
What do you think?
Re: Should AJ fight Logan Paul?
It's Jake Paul the brother.
Should be fight him. No. Will he fight him. More than likely.
I was watching an interview with Barry Hearn last week. I always think with Barry wysiwyg - he laid out that as a promoter he'll listen to the market whether it makes boxing sense or not. In market terms he said he believed AJ Paul was bigger than AJ Fury.
Sadly I think he's probably right.
I'd tune in too to hopefully watch that clown get battered and preferably within like thirty seconds to prove what a farce Paul has been from the start.
Re: Should AJ fight Jake Paul?
Logan or Jake Paul same thing.
Made the changes.
Re: Should AJ fight Jake Paul?
You are right to be fair. What's the difference
Re: Should AJ fight Jake Paul?
Reminds me of when AJ KO'ed Ngannou. Our natural reaction as boxing fans is to want to protect the sport from wannabe boxers who think they can just waltz in and become professional boxers. Fury almost screwed it up by getting knocked down by Ngannou before surviving a decision win. AJ then righted the ship by knocking out Ngannou and put that nonsense to bed about MMA stars just strolling into boxing and winning.
Back to Jake Paul. Yes, he's done some good things in boxing. One that stands out to me is that he has promoted Amanda Serrano heavily, bringing her the notoriety she so richly deserved even before that. So for that, I'm thankful. However, the boxing fan in me still chafes at having either MMA'ers or YouTubers thinking they can just take a shortcut to boxing stardom. (Basically it's what has always soured me on PrincessRy).
So if AJ were to fight Paul, the only acceptable result is an AJ knockout victory. Anything else would validate every Tom, Dick and Harry who thinks they can "express line" their way to boxing elitedom.
Re: Should AJ fight Jake Paul?

Ben Whittaker should get the opportunity.
In fact there is a huge line of real boxers that would love the opportunity.
Re: Should AJ fight Jake Paul?
So the consensus is that AJ should take on Jake.
"It's a business, man. If [Joshua v Paul] makes sense and does numbers, why not?" Whyte told BBC Sport
"[Joshua] has won the championship twice, had a lot of fights and done a lot so I don't know.
"I'm sure he'll make more money than he did in some of his title fights so sometimes if you can make some money then make some money."

The only concern is that Jake has no real intent and just using the name to sell himself and his promotional outfit. Eddie should only enter negotiations if it is serious and not be played a fool because they would be if the whole thing is just a gimmick.
Re: Should AJ fight Jake Paul?
I hope AJ actually hurts Paul... not in body, but in spirit. We've had enough of this charade. There are scores of real fighters who have been doing this since they were 10 years old, looking for even half of the shot Paul bamboozled himself into. This is pure disrespect to those fellows.
Re: Should AJ fight Jake Paul?
Agreed like knocked out in seconds and asleep for a week with a lot of medical concern - no permanent damage of course. Then we don't have to hear from him again in the ring and this kind of crap is banned
Re: Should AJ fight Jake Paul?
Nay, the Ngannou sideshow was enough for AJ. Fighting Paul while AJ is clearly on his last run and effort at the highest level does nothing but put him in another win nothing-lose everything position. Seem to recall feeling same way vs Ngannou ;D. But now the stakes are much higher, career sunset etc. Go out serious in top form vs the very best he can secure. Might be showing my age but I'm so tired of hearing "secure the bag" and Paul would most certainly produce a bag. But ffs AJ could come out and splat Paul and does anyone thing Paul would really go anywhere? And congrats AJ, you will have conquered a tired gimmick who we knew was shat once he stepped up from the basketball players, retired mma ghosts, completely shot boxers. Oh and Tyson Furys little brother ;D
I think I have it now, Jake Paul vs Jarrell Miller! Make that shitshow of a fight happen. Hey we can always hope for a double knockout :boxingmatch:
Re: Should AJ fight Jake Paul?
It’s a complete farce of course.
But boxing has always had something of the carnival about it anyway - Pete Rademacher fought Floyd Patterson for the world heavyweight championship in his first pro fight. George Foreman fought 5 nobodies one after the other on the same night. McGregor got a title shot against Mayweather in his first pro fight. Sullivan and Dempsey both fought pretty much hand picked stooges once in a while, even Muhammad Ali fought the wrestler Inoki.
The element of farce has never been far away from the business of boxing
Re: Should AJ fight Jake Paul?
This is becoming a bit of a circus with Andre Ward also dropping his name in the ring.
AJ should be insulted with these challenges popping out because he is willing to consider taking on Jake.
AJ needs to announce his next fight very soon or this will get ridiculous.
