Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Pacquiao said when asked who he will fight next:
"Broner, Adrien Broner. I think either January 12 or 19."
This has been confirmed by Broner as well.
Pacquiao is too old and faded now to beat even Broner, who is very durable. I don't like this fight, I'm worried Manny will get hurt.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Lol.
Pac beats every type of Broner!

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Pacquiao will knock this guy out in about three rounds man three rounds

I wish that were true.
But although Broner is a simple-minded clown, he is strong and durable. Pacquiao will fade in the late rounds and get stopped.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Easy win for Manny, won't be a KO, but a clear win on the cards.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
I can't see Broner hanging with Manny even at this stage. The blueprints out and the gimmick is thin. He'd be in awe to be honest and Probaly try to buy a T shirt from Pac. Being durable with zero B game and a shaky A game just means you get your arse kicked for a longer period of time.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Broner gets a massive payday..does he deserve this?
Crawford? Spence? Porter?
(All champions)
Pac could possibly beat all the above even at this stage..why not fight the best in the division before you leave the sport.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
I actually think if Broner comes in serious that he gives pacquiao some trouble. He has a solid chin and is quick. I don’t think Broner wins but I think Broner will have his moments

This will be his 1st fight with Haymon, so those type of fights could potentially happen.

Crawford would destroy him, he knows that. Arum tried to force him to fight Crawford and he is with Haymon now.
Porter he might beat, I’d pick PAC.
Spence would be interesting. He would come to PAC just as PAC likes. But PAC has mentioned being hurt to the body before so I don’t think he would like what Spence would do.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Pac is on the retirement trail whence these slightly lesser fights. Pac is still really good, but has definitely reduced the opposition lately. I think he puts Broner down a few times because of his speed and maybe stops him. Broner is a kind of punch bag which suits Manny.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Broner is still boxing?
Both Pacquiao and Mayweather are just freakshows right now....If both of them want to fight how's about they fight the best instead of bums or in Mayweather's case NON-BOXERS.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Broner has trouble with active, high volume fighters. Manny dominates every second of the fight and afterwards Broner says he is still AB, about billions, and everyone still can get it.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
To be honest, I'm rooting for Broner
But that's mostly because I'm sick and fucking tired of hearing about Pacquiao's ancient over-the-hill ass.
Iono, I'd tune it to see the fight if it's free on cable, but other than that I'm not even interested in this matchup.
-
Let’s all hope Pacquiao has enough left in the tank to beat About Being a cunt AB.

Abusive, unprovoked, personal sniping.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Broner's too stationary and doesn't move his feet. His wide stance makes him a sitting duck (even for a old pac, if pac doesn't get greedy and moves in and out). Broner's best chance is taking abuse and hope pac gets tired and then try to walk him down. Broner would stand a better chance using his jab assertively to string his offense together rather than single defensive staves or offensive pot shots.
Pacs old but if he doesn't stand still or try to walk through Broner's offense like porter or Maidana, he should still be one of the fastest fighters Broner's faced on the blitz. Manny's attack angles could lock Broner up in bad defensive positions and have him moving straight back so i wouldnt be surprised to see a flash KD here or there but Broner's pretty durable.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
What does Manny Pacquiao signing with Al Haymon really mean?
The worst-kept secret in boxing was revealed Monday as Manny Pacquiao will now be working with manager/advisor Al Haymon. The first fight under the agreement is expected to be in January when the Filipino icon defends his WBA (regular) welterweight title against Adrien Broner.
Now that Pacquiao is aligned with the most reclusive person in the sport, we break down what it all means in the grand scheme of things.
For over 14 years, Pacquiao had been promoted by Bob Arum at Top Rank. Every fight — big and small — Arum was the one leading the charge. But when boxing's only eight-division world champion permanently moved up to welterweight after taking Miguel Cotto's soul in November 2009, Arum didn't always set him up to face the best the division had to offer.
Yes, the Hall of Fame promoter pitted him in three fights versus Timothy Bradley, two fights with Juan Manuel Marquez and Floyd Mayweather, but those were in spite of Arum, who would then put him in the ring against the likes of Joshua Clottey, an out-of-his-prime Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito, Chris Algeiri, Brandon Rios and Jeff Horn to continue to make as much money as humanly possible to keep his cash cow close to the vest.
Now, in being aligned with Haymon, Pacquiao will be competing against the best fighters the 147-pound weight class has to offer for the remainder of his career. Should Pacquiao get past Broner, he would now be paired with the likes of welterweight champions Errol Spence Jr., Shawn Porter, Keith Thurman and former welterweight titlist Danny Garcia. Think about those matchups and let it resonate in your minds for a minute. Those matchups would only not only boost their profiles but also show what Pacquiao has left in the gas tank at the 39 years old.
The mere thought of this makes people sigh with a collective groan. And it is hard to blame them. Many feel they got swindled (me included) out of $100 for ordering the pay-per-view for their so-called "Fight of the Century" in 2015. After a five-year-plus buildup, all you saw was Mayweather winning a 12-round snoozefest that looked like nothing more than a glorified sparring session. Mayweather and Pacquiao broke all financial records and walked away with hundreds of millions of dollars in their pockets.
While a proposed second outing wouldn't draw as well as the first go-around, it would still do well enough for each fighter to generate a nine-figure salary for their time inside the squared circle.
IF a rematch does take place, it will be much easier to make this time around. Pacquiao is no longer bound to Arum, who Mayweather bought out to rid himself of a contract he had with the outspoken promoter and who the undefeated great blamed for the fight not happening until May 2015. Having Pacquiao and Mayweather under the same umbrella should be able to secure a rematch by the snap of their fingers.
But, Mayweather said over the weekend to TMZ that he advised Haymon to have Pacquiao face Broner and then face Spence and possibly Terence Crawford before the Las Vegas native battles his greatest rival one more time. Some took the news as Mayweather playing games and once again ducking Pacquiao, considering how good he looked when he pummeled Lucas Matthysse to win by seventh-round knockout in July.
Mayweather is a smart businessman, though. He's drumming up more interest in making everyone believe he won't take on Pacquiao once again. The man known as "Money" loves money more than any athlete on the planet and realizes battling Pacquiao one more time will be the last major payday of his illustrious career.
At the end of the day, everything comes down to money. We don't like to admit it, but it is the truth. Under the thumb of Arum, the only big paydays Pacquiao had left were with Crawford and Vasyl Lomachenko.
Pacquiao owes tens of millions of dollars to the IRS even though he made around $150 million for the first Mayweather contest. "Pac-Man" can knock off most of that debt to "Uncle Sam" as he's likely to make more being matched up with Broner in a couple months time than facing the two best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet.
Add in the fact he'll get another highly substantial payday with Mayweather and in a passing-of-the-torch bout against Spence. Pacquiao, if he has the right people around him in the final stages of his legendary career, can ride off on the white horse a financially set man for the rest of his life.

It would be truly humiliating, a wuthering fight to be precise

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Pacquiao gives Broner a 12 round beating.
AB - absolute bum needs to get his head out of his arse.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
I will obviously be rooting for Pacquiao. They couldn't be further opposites as far as quality of human being is concerned. In the ring I'm not sure what to think. Pacquiao is obviously past his prime and Father Time waits for no man. Boner has it in him to acquit himself well, and has the ring savvy to make it difficult on Pac. If Pac uses his superior speed and employs his own ring generalship in the ring, I have no reason to think he can't beat Boner.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Broner will KO him in under 11

Uhh..... no. But why confuse matters with facts?
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
To be fair, there is more chance of Manny being stopped than Broner. Adrian takes a beating and knows how to survive. Manny has been knocked out.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Still think Broner will be more impressed by half stepping his way to another big media storm than he will to actually committing to winning a huge fight. Manny has some wear and tear but that combo on angles speed and superior mental edge will see Broner take another L and make corny jokes and lame punch lines afterwards.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
You'll all see... Broner will ultimately destroy Pacquiao. Probably finish his career.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
I'm going to bet $150,000 on Broner
