What has been the biggest Undefeated vs undefeated fight ever ?

I dont mean biggest as in famous, i mean in terms of total fight undefeated if you add both of the fighters records up , so I guess Hatton + Mayweather would be big = Around 75 wins undefeated.

I think Roy Jones vs TOney was a pretty big one,, so was calzaghe Lacy

Ali 31-0-0 - Frazier 26-0-0

Holligan (21-0) v Chavez (89-0-1)was huge

Leonard already lost to Duran before he fought Hearns

Actually if you read the original question, the subject was how many total fights undefeated between 2 undefeated fighters engaging in a contest, m.r. undefeated. Ali-Frazier with 50 some wins combined is way down the list on those mentioned. (But it was a great historic fight I'll admit)

This guy from Isreal called up the promotional company for Ali Frazier
and said,

"My Grandmother asked,'Who do you think is gonna win? Ali or Frazier?'
If my 80 year old Grandmother is asking about this fight, THEN I GOTTA SEE THIS FIGHT!"



The who's who of nations watched that fight. Even the smaller nations crammed for that fight. Boxing was the biggest sport in the world and Ali was the most famous American in the world, because of his views on the Vietnam War.

That fight was an eye opener of just how big sports events could become. At the time it was the biggest fight in 30 years, since the Louis Schmeling II fight (Americans vs Nazi Germany). It easily broke that fight record.

Had everybody in the world had more access to satellite and television, most of the world would have watched the fight. That fight had everything from Vietnam, to Ali's charisma, to Fraizer's knockout power, to Ali's great comeback, to U.S. Civil Rights, to U.S. Government... written all over it.

No other fight in the history or future of boxing will ever surpass that kind of drama. No other sporting event either.
