I have your back on this one. although, if it must happen, I would hope oscar would knock PBF out.
it ain't gonna happen anyway...FLoyd SR....said he aint training against his son....and Oscar wouldn't stand a chance without Floyd training him...
ODH just had mayorga take a virtual dive, he definitley wants to make this fight happen, floyd sr or not, and it sickens me
Sorry, but this is $50 million on the table to be split between 2 fighters, $30 million for Oscar, and $20 million for Floyd. It's happening in September.
Fuck off sal.
Hope this helps ;D
Sal, can we still be boys, if i make a girl pay for my ringside seats to this fight?
That was no dive, Oscar just spanked Mayorga who never really had a chance and realized the mistake he made half way throgh round 1.

Mayweather said in a recent interview that its his son. But that if it came down to business that he would train ODLH to knock out his son. So I'm not so sure about that.Quote:

Mayweather would be KTFO.
Doesnt matter to me, I say he is (however many wins -1) - 0 - 1 (thanks to roger)
ODLH KO IN 7TH
Why the FUCK, yall being boxing fans, would you not want to see this fight?Quote:

Did it ever occur to you that 99% of the boxing public viewed Mayweather-Judah to be a joke? ;D ;D ;D ;DQuote:

Margarito can get his after the fact. DLH is getting to old, we need to see him fight the best of what's left before he goes out.
beating mayorga after all the shit he has been through means nothing, not to mention the only boxer he ever had an easy time with is forestQuote:

Do you realize that boxing is on it's last leg and that we(boxing) need mega fights like this to keep it going?Quote:

I'd rather see De La Hoya retire I think but I a more likely scenario is the fight with Floyd. I don't think Oscar stands a chance though,I am about to see the fight but from what I have read,he just plain outbrawled Mayorga right?
Sal, just go watch the fight and come back with your opinion then. De La Hoya was awesome, this was vintage De La Hoya and I think people agree De La Hoya on the best night of his career, which it looks like he can still produce, could beat Mayweather.
i really wanted to see the fight but i'm gonna have to wait weeks. did oscar really look awesome? everyone going on about him and mayweather. he's no spring chicken and making anything lighter than light middle would not be easy for him. i'd rather see him go up to middle again to rumble with taylor or winky wright.
Every now and then I read a post that just makes NO SENSE! Sorry Sal, this is one of them.
Why in the world would anyone boycott a DLH-PBF fight? We just watched Oscar demolish Mayorga, and PBF is still the #1 p4p guy in the sport. That is an interesting fight.
I admit,I have been made to eat humble pie! Oscar was INCRDIBLE!!!! The Golden Boy was back and I will be the first to admit that I was wrong,I thought he was being greedy, enjoying the golden lifestyle but dang,he's back!! The handspeed, the jab,the power!!!! What happened to the ring rust?!?!?!?!
Sparring... 'ring rust' is pretty rare if existant at all... ;) its just a crappy excuse.
I think Oscar looked superb last night. De La Hoya against Mayweather is the biggest fight of the year now including the heavyweights.
On that performance Oscar would give Floyd a real tough time.
Personally De La Hoya Mayweather has gone straight to the top of my 'must see' fights of 2006.
Ok I'll say it here and now (bracing myself for the flak)
I WOULD MUCH RATHER SEE MAYWEATHER FIGHT OSCAR DE LA HOYA THAN RICKY HATTON!!!
OSCAR HAS A BETTER CHANCE OF BEATING PBF THAN RICKY DOES!!!
Ok I've said it, counting sad clicks, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ........................... :P
i just wonder at what weight they will fight at though? this will have a considerable bearing on my opinion...Quote:

Someone like Mayorga is tailor made for a quick combination puncher with good skills like Oscar. Tito looked a million bucks against Mayorga too, and look what happened to him in his next fight... you can't really use Mayorga as a measuring stick.
Floyd is a whole different ball game. Not to say that Oscar doesn't stand a chance, but Floyd will be SERIOUSLY up for this fight and I reckon he will put in an all time performance if the fight happens.
The one thing that Oscar has got is great power in his punches, so if he catches Floyd it could be lights out... but you know, catching him is the hard part. ;)
I personally would love to see this fight.
Just some thoughts on Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Ricky Hatton...
Floyd isn't massive in size... He isn't the biggest Welterweight... I don't think Floyd going up to 154-160 is at all realistic... he doesn't have the build or frame to do that...
Floyd's boxing ability has never been in question but nonetheless, he wasn't a devastating puncher even at light-welter. His punches bounced off Judah, who doesn't have the best punch resistance in the game...
The constant pressure, power and resiliance of Hatton will tell. Hatton wins inside the distance for me...
maybe your the joke thinking Zab won 6 rounds. First it was 4 then it was 5 now its 6... next it will be 7 right?Quote:
