He can change that with a win over Mayweather, as well as $30 MILLION DOLLARS and the highest grossing non heavyweight fight in history, which it now is guaranteed to be. well if u want to get technical. if pbf gonna use uncle roger than i see this fight happening at staples center more so than vegas. but if its vegas i heard the word was MGM. the reason why im being so strict with the actual venue is cuz ill be there ringside for free biotchez haahahha. hollaaaaaaar

Floyd Sr. doesn't have to be ringside at the fight to train Oscar.

Oscar is a great fighter on his own. Besides all he has to do is do what he did for Mayorga but, train against whats a faster more technical fighter, yet weaker and who wears GIGANTIC GLOVES. ;D

its floyd senior that prepares oscar for the fighters he's facing..he trains him accordingly..and oscar doesn't know or have what it takes to beat PBF with any other trainer...and if floyd senior says he wants no part of it..then oscar doesn't stand a chance..his only adavantage was Mayweather SR....

Also, Oscar De La Hoya's retiring fight againt #1 PFP fighter ends with oscar KO'ing Mayweather would be the fight of the century?? and one AMAZING way to end a career. Champ with 2 belts and #1 in the world.

Why not, he just set himself and the world up for the fight to remember forever and ever and ever etc...

Also, I've noticed Mayweather doesnt seem to be able to take a punch, when ab got him with a good one he was shocked and blocked for about 15 seconds. Also he doesnt seem like too much of a power puncher, more of a decent strength but fast boxer. + being pretty wont win him the fight.

DLH KO IN THE 7TH

DLH has one advantage for this fight; power. Mayweather has the edge in EVERYTHING else.


Floyd wins UD.

A UD isnt even worth the fight, if there isnt a KO in this fight its worth nothing.

+ Oscar has good defence and good technique.

Mayweather does too i agree but in a non experienced too quick way. Oscar will tear through his defence with that great left hook, especially with Mayweathers stupid shoulder block stance.

Very much a possibility, but I disagree. Mayweather has been waiting for this fight for his entire life, and is in the prime of his career. Oscar's biggest motivated fights (Trinidad, Mosley rematch), are behind him, as is his prime. This one's Mayweather's for the taking.

I agree. Oscar getting confident from beating a one dimensional fighter like Mayorga is in for a rude awakening against Mayweather.

I like Floyd by unanimous decision as well.

Unofficial word is spreading that Oscar De La Hoya is penciled in to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September 16. WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito caught wind of this and apparently confronted Mayweather, saying "What about me?" and the fighters had to be separated.

Trust me this fight is happening. Way too much money is on the line. Enough for PBF to test his chin, and enough for ODLH to test his skills. BTW, Mayweather Sr. said that if the fights does happen he will train ODLH. He said it on Boxingtalk.
