I'm right motherfukin here! >:mad Kick a man when he is down huh? No I didn't sob, I threw a few things, said a few naughty words and generally felt very disapointed. I had been waiting for this fight for a very long time, Mayorga was/is my favorite fighter in the world. But I can't help feeling a little like Mike Tyson's diehard fans have felt in recent years, hurt, betrayed, letdown. Maybe Mayorga did his best, maybe it just wasn't enuff, or maybe he conned me and everyone who bought the fight one last time. Sayin wild things, actin like he truly wanted to win, then comin in takin a beating, and leaving without givin so much as an interview. He abandoned the jab he had developed last fight, didn't keep his freakin right hand up. His chin looked worse than ever and he only threw two punch combos, three at best, not the 4 and 5 punch combos he used to. This is a very disheartening loss, and it is hard for me to look forward to other fights. This was THE FIGHT for me this year. Mayorga had one last chance at being more than a "flash in the pan", more than a one hit wonder, he had a chance at a legacy and he blew it. Instead, the phony, fake, manipulating, punk, Oscar won. I hold no real hate for Oscar, and I would not get much satisfaction out of Mayweather defeating him, though I imagine he would. My favorite fighter lost, and this time with no redeeming actions, no knockdown, no last stand, just blasted out in 6 rounds on the ropes like a chump, like Gatti, like Yory Boy. Don't think you'll be seein me as much on here, hard to get excited bout anything else, after this. HUGE LETDOWN. :-\
So I guess it's not the time for, I told you so ???
How would you feel if I told you he may fight Margarito at 154 ;)Quote:

By the way, for whatever it's worth, I was rooting hard for Mayorga. I've never been a fan of the "Golden Boy's" mystique or image. But in the back of my mind I also have to admit that I would've bet on DLH. Mayorga's style is too tailor-made for him.Quote:

Hey man, next to you, I think I'm Mayorga's greatest fan. I actually lost my voice for a bit after and during the fight as I was screaming at the TV. Fact is, Mayorga went up against better boxer plain and simple. He was telegraphing his punches from a mile a way and Oscar had plenty of time to see them as they were coming from left field. I'm really at a lost of words as well as I was hoping for that once slight chance Mayorga would land one of his haymakers but it wasn't meant to be. I hope he just simply retires and calls it a career. It was bad enough seeing the beating Tito gave him but DLH beating on him was actually worse...Don't want to see Mayorga suffer any permenant damage.Quote:

Thank you. I too was screaming at the TV especially in that first round, Mayorga was hit by a left hook he never saw coming. Oscar fooled us all, he didn't need to outbox Mayorga which I had said all along was more difficult than it looks. No there was an even better strategy, BACK MAYORGA UP. Mayorga cannot fight going backwards at all period. Oscar knew this and came in with his hands high, sacrificing some good body shots to Mayorga but protecting his head and backing up El Matador. It worked wonders, just like it did for Tito, and as much as I didn't want to believe it, I think Tito did dent the legendary chin of Mayorga. And Starr, at this point in time a Margarito matchup wouldn't be the best fight for Mayorga, not after this performance. Retirement, or a tune up fight against another valient now ex-champ, Terra Garcia would be the two best choices in my book.Quote:

The thing about Mayorga that I sympathize is that he had alot of potential, quick enough hands, amazing chin, warrior's mentality, knockout power. Unfortunately he was never taught how to box properly or he would have been a great... Very seldom do you see somebody hit has hard as he did from with such sloppy form or throw so many wild punches without losing balance.
:coolclick: for hulk....that was a tough fight to watch....Quote:

It's the sickest feeling you'll ever get. Terrible. You'll get over it though, boxing fans always do. I felt the exact same way after Lacy - Calzaghe and am still kind of feeling it because I had little doubt in my mind that Joe was going to trade with him and Lacy was going to knock him out. Much like Oscar, Calzaghe fought Lacy's fight and pummeled him. Terrible feeling indeed. And now you're having to give Oscar his due after a WIN, like I had to do Calzaghe. I would have been more then happy to call Calzaghe a great fighter after he got KO'd by Lacy...but I had to give him his due after a win :-\ I hate Calzaghe haha
Its all cool man, kicking when you are down will happen here (tszyu fan....in a british site when he fought hatton ;) ). Trust me you will feel pissed ( i threw the remote when kostya lost....at the lounge but i still threw it ;D ) but youll get over it. :coolclick: for taking it like a man ;)Quote:

Thanks for supportin me, that was a terrible loss for Mayorga and all his fans. :-\
Yes he had good head movement....his head moved from his shoulders to the ground! :'( :'( ;D
So do you turn green and smash things up when somebody makes you angry
I would get yall to stop but I guess now he sort of feels what it was like for me when Wlad lost, which makes me feel better. It really does suck, but things can turn around I mean Wlad is once again a champion...maybe Mayorga can do it too
Well, I'll be honest...I left the guy alone for a long time but the constant Wlad bashings after I posted got old.........and so we get a little reciprocation.
Wlad does suck balls guys. ;D Unfortunately I was not on here right after Brewster beat Wlad, only after Wlad beat Peter, and that sucked. >:mad There is certainly hope for Mayorga to win another world title, but it is sad that he will never be on the very elite level I thought he could be by beating the Golden Boy.
If there's such thing as a world title for Nicaraguan miniature golf, then I agree, Mayorga may win another world title. Unfortunately, there's no hope in hell this guy will ever see another belt in boxing though.
If Ouma, Forrest, or Quartey grab a belt, you can bet your ass Mayorga will be lining up to take it from them. Guys like Castillejo, and "terra" Garcia have held belts recently. Mayorga can definately get a belt buddy. Who knows if he'll ever fight again though? Hopefully he will after he takes a break and goes back to learning some fundamentals like he was showin when he won the WBC crown against Picarillo.Quote:
