There has been alot of talk about PBF and Oscar since his win on sat night
I dont think Floyd would want any of Oscar. He knows it would be his toughest test yet plus the roger mayweather things but might take it for the cash
what about Oscar and hatton considering hatton gets through this weekend
Does anyone think it would be a good match up.
Oscar is too big for Hatton imo
Hatton would get busted up I think.. Oscar really is too big and powerful, plus Hatton couldn't get around his jab.

Hatton looks very big at 147 and surely can fight 154 if he chooses. Hatton is much bigger then mayweather so why havent people said that Mayweather is to small to fight oscar?
Get around his jab??? If you guys are judging hatton on 2 fights then u dont know what ur talking about...hatton is a MASTER at slipping the jab and throwing a Up Jab ( for those who dont know what that is, its a jab that is kinda of thrown like an upper cut) And that punch gets him in range and once he's in range oscar will have a VERY hard time., just like anybody else would when fighting hatton.
Hatton will knock Collazo out and who ever else is put in front of him....
Seriously some of you aren't being logical. Hatton would get murdered. The only reason PBF even has a legitimate shot against ODLH is because he's probably the better boxer and has awesome defensive skills and knows exactly when to run and how to avoid getting hit. The PBF fight would probably be boring. Hatton, on the other hand, IS A PRESSURE FIGHTER!!! If Mayorga can't bully ODLH around, do you think small, little Ricky Hatton can? Hatton is a great boxer, but come on people, just like PBF, they both needed to stay at 140. Hatton can't outbox ODLH and he definitely can't outslug ODLH. What can Hatton do to win? Hatton - ODLH would probably be a repeat of ODLH-Gatti but Hatton would probably land a lot more punches. There's no way Hatton would beat ODLH. Hatton needs to fight PBF and that's that.

I doubt floyd has lost any handspeed like people are saying, if he wants his true speed he needs to get rid of those giant gloves and in the fight against zab he used the jab only as a range finder so you can't really judge by that.

Cuts
After watching Oscars Jab against mayorga, it was brutal, mayorgas head was snapping back all over the shop.
Unless Ricky could really get near him, Oscar would hurt him...
But we all know how good Hatton is, and oscar tires.
If Ricky can survive 7 rounds, it would go to score cards, but I feel Oscar by UD or SD especially in Vegas
Oscar would destroy Hatton the same way he did Gatti. To much power.
Im abit surprised Hatton is getting dismissed so easily against oscar.
I suppose Oscar is the story at the moment from sat night and it was a good performance.
If Hatton wins this weekend in style a few opinions might change.
Who else is there for oscar to fight if PBF doesnt happen.

if the fight was made at light welterweight then i'd pick hatton, i dont think de la hoya could make that weight anymore though. but if the fight was at light midle then i'm picking oscar. dunno about welter yet. ltes see how ricky gets on at this weight.

Mayorga was knocked out in his first ever fight, then lost twice in a row a couple of fights after that, his 35 years old and his DONE.
The only thing Mayorga was ever recognized for was knocking out Vernon forrest in the 2nd round (contraversial stoppage) smoking cigerettes and drinking beer!
My money would be on Ricky Hatton for sure.
even though hatton is my favourite fighter i still think that de la hoya would destroy him in the first round

INO Oscar would knock out Hatton, just too big and skilled, hatton's style is tailor made for Oscar

Every fight I've ever seen mentioned on this forum where the bout was absurd due to size difference it was immediately disregarded and not given another thought, why is this one so different?

I think this fight is a definate!! If Ricky destroy's Collazo then I think Ricky v Oscar is worth as much $$$ as Floyd v Oscar. Plus Hatton will have a belt.
I know I would much rather watch Hatton v Oscar than Mayweather!! Floyd and Oscar would be like watching grass grow!! Too technical for the viewers good!!

DLH has one of the finest jabs in boxing. Quick, accurate, powerful. Hatton would walk into this from the sound of the first bell. Once his eyes start to puff up, or bleed, the right hand and textbook left hook would surely follow. I like Hatton, but I think his style plays right into DLH's hands.
I agree, Hatton and PBF should fight each other and that's it, and if it's a good match up, they should have a rematch or even a rubber match. Why fight an old Oscar who wants to retire in September? He's past his prime, and he knows it. Losing to a Hatton or a Mayweather would be worse than losing to Hopkins, because he'll never be able avenge a defeat to a much younger fighter in their prime years.Quote:
