I'm getting so fucking sick of Tony Margarito.
Seriously, this guy is turning into a whinny litle baby. Can he really blame Floyd for wanting to fight ODLH for all that money? If the tables were turned Tony would face ODLH too. ODLH is the biggest money fight in boxing and someone would have to be an idiot not to pursue it. Plus, TONY MARGARITO HAS BEAT NO ONE!!!!! For God Sakes, I've never seen so much fuss over a fighter who hasn't really beat anyone. He's got one or two good quality wins at 147, that's it. Floyd has only been at 147 for two fights and already he's beat more quality people in two fights then Tony has. If Tony wants to get his name out there for real, he should fight Zab Judah. It's a fight that can easily be made since Zab's so fucking desperate right now. He should take Zab, knock him out if he can, and say "this is what I did to Zab, I'll do the same to you Floyd." It's that easy. One fucking person in this forum, tell me how Margarito has earned a shot to fight for big money. By beating Cintron? What else has he done? Knocking out some old journeyman in the first round? Losing to Daniel Santos? What? I have no desire to really see this fight because Margarito has beat one fucking guy and thinks he should break the bank. Gimme a break. I know I'll get sad clicks but this guy isn't being realistic. I'd rather see ODLH vs PBF any day of the week.

Hey, TONY-ZAB ain't a bad one

Exactly, Tony actually earns his shot by trying to KO the former undisputed champ at 147 (Something Floyd couldn't do) and Zab gets a chance to earn some respect back by taking on a champion at 147. If Tony wins, he has a real reason to bitch and moan for the PBF fight, if Zab wins, what a perfect way to begin the march to the PBF vs Zab II HBO PPV called Ultimate Chaos.

I'd like to see that one and also for Zab/Tony to prove they can win big fights. Both lost at their respective big fights.

Re: I'm getting so F****** sick of Tony Margarito.
I also like to see TONY-COTTO / ZAB-COTTO
-
Re: I'm getting so F****** sick of Tony Margarito.
Yeah, I don't really get how he's a bigger threat than Oscar. Maybe he deserves a shot at Mayweather, but the sport of boxing has never run on the idea of "deserve". I wish it did.
-
Re: I'm getting so fucking sick of Tony Margarito.
mayweather-margarito would be reminicent of mayweather-corrales. tony is too slow for mayweather, floyd would pick him apart.
-
Re: I'm getting so F****** sick of Tony Margarito.
Exactly many people think that Margarito can give PBF a run for his money.Margarito is too slow and too 1 dimensional for PBF,he throws wide as fuck punches that Mayweather can see them the day b4 he throws them.I give Hatton a better chance against PBF than this Margarito bum,I bet Ricky can kick his ass too,and hes smaller than him.
-
Re: I'm getting so fucking sick of Tony Margarito.
also margarito is a huge man feasting on guys smaller than him. he is definetly a jrmiddleweight or possibly a middleweight.

Well that's boxing. He made the weight. Tommy Hearns was a 6'2 welterweight.
And Margaritto has been Ring Magazine #1 for over a year and still, noone in the top 10 will face him. How is he not going to be frustrated?

CC,good points bro.

Re: I'm getting so F****** sick of Tony Margarito.
I like Tony alot, but he will lose to Floyd 8 to 4, maybe 10 to 2. Tony should try to fight Oscar, or move up and fight Karmazin. He might even go for the winner of Vargas-Mosely 2. If he could get Zab or Spinks, that wouldn't be bad either, but they both pose a rick of Tony losing a decision.

Your right but does that mean mayweather has to fight him. Mayweather just got there. What he needs to do is call out all the other guys too. Floyd just got there and hes beaten just as many top 10 welter as tony has in the past few years.Cintron/Judah

Your right. I actually want Mayweather to fight Hatton but they're placing blame on Margarito and well, he's allowed to be frustrated. I mean noone will give him a shot, even for 8 million dollars! I was hoping he would fight Judah while Mayweather fought Hatton but that seems out of the quetion now that Judah can't fight for a year.

Re: I'm getting so F****** sick of Tony Margarito.
Tony is a hard-ass, but hasn't really done alot. Sure he has destroyed alot of underclassmen. So did Corrales until he fought Floyd. The difference is, Corrales has lost to the best, and still continues to fight the best and win some. Tony does not. You can say he is being avoided. Well, Arum is your promoter, use him. If he can't get you a fight, then look at the belts, fight some of the top contenders, and get yourself ranked as a mandatory. Then, if the fighter avoids you, he gets stripped, and you fight an eliminator for the belt. Boom, you added yourself another bvelt. If you still can't get the fights, climb the list for another belt. Or, Tony could try what other class A fighters do, and move up to make a big fight. I mean, he should be fighting at 154 to 160 anyway.

So you basically hate 80% of all boxers? Most boxers walk around 2 or 3 weight classes then that of the one they fight at. Do you dislike Winky for beating up on 154 lbers? Do you dislike Hearns for being a 6'2 welterweight? Seriously, he makes the weight so there should be no problem.
-
Re: I'm getting so F****** sick of Tony Margarito.
just because herns was 6'2 doesn't mean he should have been 175....and margarito walks around at about 170....hearns was skinny and trimmed...
and winky had been at 154 his whole career and doesn't walk around at 180 either....

I like Tony, but it's easy to beat up on little guys. All fighters who do that lose some respect, but as they get older, they move up and challenge for the belts, just like Winky, Hearns, Oscar and others. If Tony can't beat other guys more closer to his weight, then he really isn't that good, and is only a bully. Isn't that how you look at it? I'm just saying, if he can't get fights, move up. Don't be a puss and cry about it. None of the other fighters we have mentioned did that.

Does that mean Winky wasn't weight drained his whole career? Actually he wasn't but he definitely was for the last few years. I think you guy are nitpicking saying you don't like Tony because he fights at welter. If he can make the weight then he can fight there and shouldn't be questioned. That's all there is to it really.

Because if and when he gets a shot at Floyd, Tony will lose a UD. Floyd is smarter than what people think. He will dance his way around Tony, landing just enough to win. Then everyone will say Floyd didn't fight him, or Tony was overrated, either way Tony loses and is discarded. He don't get a shot now, and after a loss, every fighter that is truly scared would say he has five losses, and he just lost. I just think it's bad for Tony, unless he can get Zab, Oscar, or Spinks. Someone he has a better chance against to raise his value. Moving up, he would get a title shot for sure. Especially if Vargas beats Mosely. That would be a good match-up for Tony, and he would get paid.

Personally, I would pick Mayweather and it has the potential to be lopsided but that doesn't mean Margarito didn't earn it.

Even though he hasn't beat any top five welters, he has earned it because all of the other ones have recent losses. He has a belt. And he would beat Baldomir for sure. Do you rank him ahead of Oscar at 147? Without the money. Oscar hasn't even fought at 147 in years. I do, but alot of people wouldn't. Would you rank him ahead of Hatton if Hatton beats Collazo? Hatton is undefeated, and would have a legit belt. I think Floyd should have beat him already, but it's about exposure, and money, and Tony doesn't have enough of either. Arum did make a good effort, but even Tony knows 8 mil is nothing compared to Oscar money.

That just about sums it up in a nutshell.
Honestly, why are Pretty Boy fans fed up with Margarito? This is BOXING more than BUSINESS, this is the FIGHT GAME not the stock market.
Mayweather wanst to be a businessman, when he can make more money being a fighter. And most of his fans can defend the businessman characteristic, but NOT ME, I'm a fight fan, not a business FAN.
So hail Mayweather for his Business decisions, because recently I won't hail him for his Fight Decisions.

We all know he should have fought Tony, but when he does, and beats him, what will you say then? Or, what if Tony gets beat by Oscar?

Give Floyd his due and give him credit for fighting the best 8) Until then whether or not he would come out victorious in a Margarito matchup is up for debate.
And btw-I'm a Floyd fan.
