Does anyone think Hopkins will beat Tarver?

I think this is the worst decision Hopkins has made going up 2 weight classes and fighting a guy
who beat Roy Jones twice! Tarver will make short work of Hopkins and retire him forever.

complete opposite of what is gonna happen, Tarver's boxing ability sucks, and he's slow, Hopkins defence is too sharp and he'll just counter Tarver to death lol

yeah im going with Hopkins, i think he'll be to quick and slick and Tarver will have a nightmare trying to land anything clean on him

I'm also going with Hopkins. Tarver didn't look particularly good in the Johnson or Jones wins.

I anticipate a very boring fight that I sure won't be paying for but I think if Hopkins had his hands full with Taylor all the way down at 160 he's not going to fare any better against the bigger Tarver.

Tarver's gonna be the one to win this one.

Hopkins was a 160lb champion for a reason.

Hopkins will definately beat Tarver if he puts on constant pressure but if he only tries to sneak in a over-hand right here and there like he did against Taylor then the bigger stronger Tarver has a good chance.

I know who will definitely lose.

I think Tarver will win this one. As much as i dont want him to, i just dont see what else Bernard has to proove and even if he wins this won it wont make him any more great.

I agree with almost all of the above posts. This will be a bore of a fight. I do think Hopkins will simply counter Tarver to death. And Tarver has bad conditioning, gets tired late in fights. Hopkins doesn't, but he don't throw enough to KO Tarver.

Hopkins in an ugly, clench filled, bore. And although I boycotted Delahoya-Mayorga, I will be buying this fight, ONLY BECAUSE Hopkins claims it's his last.

Boring fight, but i dont think Tarver has much boxing ability and Hopkins will get the decision.

Tarver is underestimated imo....he's gonna beat Hopkins because he will be the more active fighter lol

Man B-hop needs to retire he has been saying that for a year now, and he was supposed to have already been retired this January. also dont forget he broke his promise he made to his mother, and that was he would not fight past his 41st b-day.

i really doubt b hop will continue beyond this fight, even if he wins and he can win....

a strange tough fight, but remember how wily old b hop is, very elusive and difficult to hit clean...

he will frustrate tarver and though b hop isnt as active over 12 rounds as he once was tarver himself has stamina issues....

i can really see b hop coming on strong in the final 5 rounds....could well be just enough to clinch it...
