Who suffered the most vicious @ss whoopin'?
Jeff Lacy it is.... That guy must have landed 1000 punches on Poor Jeff, plus you kept hearing his girlfriend on the sideline screaming and stuff like Joe was killing him..
lacy hands down....he took it 12 rounds, only pride let him continue, a whole lotta pride....
i hope lacy comes back, i know im a big calzaghe fan and wanted lacy to be beaten, but heck, im a fan of boxing too and lacy is good for boxing....lets hope he is in the ring before the year is out...
LACY >:mad >:mad >:mad >:mad >:mad >:mad :( :( :( :(
It sucks, but it's true. He'll be back though.
Morales by Pacman :)
Definitely Lacy. It was so one sided. At least Mayorga landed one good shot.
Umm...Morales was no more then 2 or 3 rounds behind Pacquaio. Mayorga and Lacy didn't win a round.
Luckily for byrd his ass got knocked out... if he got tortured for the rest of that fight he would be souning like Tommy Hearns trying to recite poetry all Slurring like a mofo
I would have to say Byrd....Wlad just made it look to easy...Almost like Byrd was just there to help pad Klitschko's record....He looked small and weak next to him...Nothing like the Master Boxer that won him the IBF strap
I would have to agree, Wlad crushed Byrd, He had Bryd so fustrated that byrd looked like an amature, just putting his head down at times and throwing punches with out even looking.Quote:

Byrd was completely dominated by Wlad. This fight was extremely lopsided. I would love to see the punchstat numbers.
I would have loved to see the look on all of the Wlad haters faces out there weeping and dreaming up excuses for Byrd when he lost.
A thorough, one sided, 12 round beating would be the most painful and humiliating. I'd say Lacy definitely took the most damage.
DEFINETLY Lacy.... Byrd technically got beat worse, or as badly, because he couldn't continue and if he had his beating could have been worse, but LAcy took so much punishment in that fight, it wasn't like the Byrd fight where he just got KOed from timed right hands, he was eating combos constantly all the time, every punch doing a little damage but just barely being able to survive.. That's pretty much as bad a beating as you can get.. And Morales against PAc shouldn't even be on there its nowhere near as bad as the other it was a super competitve fight for 5 or 6 rounds until Eriks legs went, and they were equally matched until
Lacy deff had the worst beating this year. but i'd also like to mention the beating Cotto gave to Branco with those vicious body shots.
1. Byrd
2. Lacey
3. Mayorga
No way Morlaes he got KO'd but wasnt he winning the fight after 5 rounds??? I wouldn't call that a beatdown but it was quite a brutal ending.
Jeff Lacy by Joe Calzaghe
1. byrd--although lacy sustained a longer beating chris was absolulty blown up and nearly killed in this fight...lacy got peppered up heavily but didnt get blasted like byrd did
2 lacy--12 rds of punch eating..........
3 mayorga---a beatdown for sure but short and explosive..similar to byrd but mayorga wasnt as busted up and opened
4 branco--dude was beat up from head to toe--u know when u get kayoed but a shoulder punch you are one hurting puppy
I hate to piggy back off this poll, but who is the likeliest to brush themselves off and return to greater things...Quote:

BYRD= even though nothing is sorted out in the heavyweight division he couldlikely get back in line for a belt but I think he is like Ruiz in the sense..WHO THE HELL WANTS TO SEE HIM FIGHT LET ALONE PAY FOR IT!!
MORALES= Tough as nails SOB, but just like that beautifully polished sports car...it dosent perform like it used to when the mileage is high on it..EM definetly has high mileage and rough ones at that, could all those wars he's been in finally showing through??? Maybe a long rest is what he needs?
LACY= is the one IMO that will can return to a championship level Long rest and Maybe even working with WINKY on DEFENSE and JABBING since they are friends and have the same trainer(DAN BIRMINGHAM)+ youth is on his side next fight is a pivotal one
Dont forget Kermit Cintron has been coming along nice since his destruction by Margarito, Estrada was no slouch and was pressing the action all fight he kept his composure and Won by TKO.. One fight at a time!!!!!!
BYRD was badly beaten up. But Morales! Man I never saw his face like that. True he was winning after five rounds but that I think was the plan. Manny going in to dig into his body that's why he was caught with EMs shots and probably giving away those rounds. But when his corner decided to get it off in round 6 that was I think the most damage accumulated in a round in EMs career.
lacy got beat like a red headed step child
When Roger Mayweather beat down Zab Judah.
No way was Pac planning to let MOrales win the early rounds like that... No way. Look at their first fight, Morales fought at a crazy pace for all 12 rounds... How was Pac supposed to know he couldn't do it again. Plus they were trading toe to toe, it's not like Manny was strategically tiring him out like Floyd with Judah or something, they were trading for their lives and Morales was getting the better of many early exchanges plus his jab was working very well. I agree with you Morales looked a beaten man, his face... But it's not like he took as much damage as Lacy or even Mayorga, and it was a FOTY candidate, not one sided like the others.Quote:

Morales is a tough SOB and for him to go down twice, face looking worst than ever shows you just how much beating he took. Lacy got slapped for 12 rounds, Morales took bombs from 1-6(although giving some back) and was just plainly brutalised for the rest of it. Calzaghe vs Lacy may look more one sided but IMO, Morales took more of a beating. Thats one of the saddest moments fo rme in boxing when Morales actually avoided the exchanges by dancing away and then finally falling, his face just looked beaten.
Calzaghe gave a nice beatdown to Lacy but Im willing to bet holyfield got an even bigger beating from Bowe even though the fight was much closer, alot more damage.
I gotta go with Wlad/Byrd. True that Lacy was thoroughly dominated and didn't win a round, but Calzaghe just doesn't have the power to crush anyone the way Wlad crushed Byrd. The knockdown that ended the Byrd fight was just brutal. I didn't see any one thing in the Lacy fight that looked that awful (for Lacy).
Lacy got soundly beaten in boxing. Byrd got beat the fuck up.
It's got to be Lacy by Calzaghe. I know being welsh I am totally biased, but I was there and Lacy just didn't have anything at all to throw back, if his corner or the ref had any compassion they'd have stopped it after 8 or 9, Lacy was looking like an RTA victim and none of his punches were going with feet of Calzaghe.
Byrd's beating a close second though, Klitchko was awesome.
Byrd by Wlad....that was what we like to call ONESIDED. I mean Wlad beat Chris like a rented mule!
To FUNNY LOL!!Quote:

At least Byrd won the first round ;D Lacy didn't win a second, and I'm not even sure if he landed a punch ???
Byrd and Lacy are good choices, but I have to say Corrales. After a tremendous fight, he got destroyed, never had a chance. He got dropped like my pants on a good night. Might not be the worst beating, but IMO, was the most lopsided. Even more than Lacy, simply because Corrales had fought good in the first fight.
As far as last year, I have to say Gatti losing to Floyd. I knew Floyd would win, but not like that. Even when Oscar beat Gatti, Gatti landed some shots that got Oscar's attention. The beat downs as far as punishment were close, but Gatti couldn't do anything against Floyd. Anything!
That was one hell of a beating. Man daaaaaaaaaaaaayeem!Quote:

Byrd got the worst of it.
i would say lacy, but remember-Byrd got his from one of the hardest punchers in the HEAVYWEIGHT division. lacy got his from a middleweight.
I agree, it had to be Byrd. Based on the power of the shots he was taking to the dome, that's the definition of a beatdown.
When you look at the choices you have to realize Lacy and Gatti could have turned the tide in those fights...Byrd just couldn't do ANYTHING to stop Wlad
I definately agree with the majority of people on here that it's either Byrd or Lacy, so I guess it's how everyone defines the perfect azz whooping that determines who you think. What would you say was a worse beatdown, Tua crushing Ruiz or Hopkins torturing Trinidad? Both were brutal, but I'd say Tua's was more vicious, so I'd be more inclined to say Byrd got taken out behind the woodshed the worst here.
NO SHTZ I watched that fight drunk and sober just so I believed what I saw initially I saw both JC and JL and Byrd and Wlad Lacy got schooled but Byrd got murdered lucky for him his wife is a loud mouth so he can still say yes dear, yes dear!!!! again another fighter who had dad in the corner giving bad advice when the fight not going to plan SHANE BEWARE>>>>>>>>>>>>
