Holy Shit :o
Well if we didn't already know he was finished we def do now!!!
it works both ways they either go easy on them or harsh to make an example of them if they're celebs.
There goes his return to the ring, i think with him being so high profile he will do probably 4/5 months, maybe he can get in there and start doing some fitness work get himself in shape for a return??Quote:

But he did flee the scene, and for all he knows the other guy could of been dead and i read somewhere he broke more or less every bone in his body, anyway i agree maybe a little harsh going off other similar cases.
Jail did Tyson good...physically that is. ;D

Naseem Hamed jailed for car crash

Former world boxing champion Naseem Hamed has been jailed for dangerous driving after a crash in his sports car which left a man badly injured.
Hamed, 32, from Dore in Sheffield, was sentenced to 15 months at Sheffield Crown Court after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing.
The boxer was also banned from driving for four years.
Hamed was at the wheel of his £325,000 McLaren-Mercedes when he crashed at 90mph on Ringinglow Road, Sheffield.
Motorist Antony Burgin spent weeks in hospital after the crash left him with fractures to "every major bone in his body".
Hamed was charged with dangerous driving in December.
A devout Muslim, Hamed - born in Sheffield to Yemeni parents - was just 17 when he made his boxing debut in 1992 and soon earned a reputation for flamboyance in victory.
He won the world featherweight title in 1995 and was awarded an MBE in 1999.
Hamed remained unbeaten until 2001, when he lost to Mexico's Marco Antonio Barrera.
In November, he announced that he intended to make his boxing comeback in the United States this year.

seeing that photo. No way was he coming back 8)
Its not harsh, the guy that got 12 weeks just wasn't punished properly. If you cause an accident in your metal ego extension box from being an arsehole and then leave a man for dead you deserve serious jail time.
Yes your probably rite Adam but if i was Naz i wouldnt be happy considering similar cases and sentencing, but fleeing a scene possibly leaving someone to die deserves Jailtime agreed, it's just a shame are Legal System is a load of bollocks!!Quote:

he will get fit in jail, more or less not alot to do than use gym, not like he needs educating for a job wen he's released.
send him parkhurst, i'll ave him ;D
I hear what your saying though, its not fair and equal treatment but when you've been on a flipside of an accident like this you start to see things the other way round. ;)Quote:

Not harsh at all!! Consider what happened to his victim, I'm sure he'd be willing to swap places with Hamed now. And leaving the scene of the crime??? As for the point of giving him a 4 year driving ban, after the details of this accident, as well as all his other convictions and bans for speeding, don't make me laugh. Who here truely believes that in 4 years time when he gets into another sportscar that he will stay within the speed limit?
Hamed isn't sorry about the accident, hes just sorry that he got caught!!! I just hope that the guy he hit takes him for loads. And this is coming from someone how supports Naz!!
Im bad your right it was not harsh in terms of the damage he has done, but it's is the legal system and the lack of consistancy with prison sentencing, like i posted previously a guy was jailed for 12 weeks for knocking down and killing a young boy while having no licence or insurance, he also fled the scene, so thats what i meant , but hell yes he does deserve time finding that soap in the showers!!Quote:

There were probably a lot of possible outcomes and Im guessing the injuries that the other driver suffered could have been even worse, and he's fortunate not to be completely paralyzed. Naz is fortunate that he is getting 15 months and a 4 year ban, he'll probably serve in a nice furnished prison cell and get parole like he was MArtha Stewart or something... he commited a terrible crime this isn't celebrity justice at all, imo.Quote:

well just think back to the time you did that moment of madness... you too could be in jail for it.
shit happens folks and there shouldn't be different rules for different fools ;)
My point was I don't think this is an example of those different rules which I acknowledge there often are such as the MArtha Stewart case in the states.. Now that is celebrity justice, I just don't think this is. And I know what you mean Saddo about how everyone has their moment of madness, but if he doesn't drink as you say how on earth can he explain running from the scene. Also I have never driven at 90 mph in the wrong lane, that seems just totally ridiculous to me but obviously good people will do such stupid things at times Im sure(although sober, I really can't understand the whole thing then...).. But even if someone were to speed like that, I could never see fleeing the scene after colliding heavily with another car. He couldn't think to help the other driver? He didn't think they would know it was his car?.. How could he have been sober, that really shocks me.
Your right everybody has a ding or does something stupid now and then but driving away from an accident when somebody may need medical help is unacceptible!Quote:

He got what he deserved. I seriously think there is something wrong with Naz mentally what with all that come back talk and crap!
Naz----->:bananasex:<-----Bubba
at last, a , judge with common sense and one not phased by celebrity a***holes. naz deserves his time, simply for leaving the scene. the obnoxious little s**t thinks he can do anything he wants , when he wants, and to who he wants. i hope the other guys legal team put in a good claim, and nail his balls to the wall....
naz has got what he deserves for some very irresponsible behavior. if you act hurt others seriously with careless and reckless behaviour then you deserve the force of the law...Quote:

what on earth is naz thinking when he talks of making a comeback? especially when he is blown up like some kind of super oompa loompa....i agree, his head is screwed on a little off kilter...
at least this finally clears up all those rumours once and for all....end of story, "prince" Naseem Hamed...
Hamed will be out in 2 months, tops.
