All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
After this performance, who honestly wants to see Hatton lose to PBF? The outcome is no longer in question. This kid, exciting as he is, has NO defense. He constantly gets hit coming in. This might be an easier fight for PBF than Gatti. Collazo only has 9 KO's and almost KO'd Hatton. And he closed one of his eyes.
Now we all can officially scratch Hatton's name off PBF's possible opponents list.

Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
CC I was cheering for Hatton, because I had never seen his opponent before, but he lost that fight IMO or at least had a closer fight than he should have... a focused Judah or Mayweather would make Hatton look like how Mayweather made Gatti look... I don't even know if Hatton could beat Gatti.

Hatton-Gatti would be like the 3rd Ward fight imo. Gatti would decision him

Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
Even Gatti would beat him imo.

Have a CC yourself. Kinda refreshing to hear a Hatton fan being objective about the whole thing. IMO, the fight was very close and could've gone either way. The one judge had it my too much of a margin, and a split decision or a draw would've been acceptable.

why is that? 'coz you can't see the big picture? that fact this guy had a 7 or more inch bigger reach than hatton was the sole reason hatton looked as bad as he did and the fight was so close. PBF doesn't have that reach advantage, he isn't a natural at that wait.
Truth be told, this guy was prolly the hardest, most tricky fighter to put hatton up agasint for his first fight at this w8, he was a naturaly bigger guy, with a 7 + inch reach, a south paw (they given hatton some trouble in the past) and to top it all off he was fighting in his home country.
So how you, or anyone else could judge hatton purly on that match is freaking shocking tbh.. rome wasn't built in a day matey

Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
CC as for Calazo(I think thats his name) he really impressed me and should definitely be considered a top contender... He is really good.

did you know that Mayweather has 6 more inches of reach with EACH ARM as opposed to the 2 inches per arm tonight. Also Mayweather is taller than Hatton. Is much faster with his feet than Hatton's current opponent, harder puncher, and a better inside/body puncher. Sure Mayweather throw those combinations, but he would throw the same combinations he did against Gatti, remember that? It would be an ugly fight... Mayweather would be so much quicker he could literally put all his power behind every punch which not even Hatton would take though I give him all the credit in the world for taking what he did tonight.

Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
If the biased refs let him hold and hit all night he has a good chance at 147.
I am a big Hatton fan but all of that ruiz technique has got to go. Either that or allow boxing to become ultimate fighting because a lot of grabbers are are becoming very successful with the right refs.

Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
YOUR RIGHT THE AMOUNT OF RIGHT HANDS HATTON WILL TAKE WILL BE JUST TO MUCH. I DON'T THINK MAYWEATHER WILL HAVE ENOUGH ONE PUNCH POWER TO KNOCK HATTON OUT( UNLESS ITS TIMED TO PERFECTION)
BUT IT HINK IT WILL TAKE ITS TOLL.
NOW IF HE FOUGHT JUDAH HE COULD GET BLOWN OUT IN QUICK TIME.
THE FIGHT WILL BE LIKE GATTI VS MAYWEATHER. I THINK HATTONS CORNER WILL PULL HIM OUT.

Gatti is a better fighter than Hatton.......Collazo is better than Hatton, PBF is better, Judah is better. Hell the only fight I would want to see hatton in would be against Mayorga..
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
You guys must not box...
A left handed fighters punches are VERY hard to anticipate, which is why its hard to slip their punches or stop that Right hook....
This would NOT happen against a Orthodox fighter...If collazo was not a southpaw he'd have gotten stopped early....
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
I seriously doubt that with Hatton's openess in between his swings.
And Mayweather can fight Southpaw and orthodox when the situation calls for it ;)
So you're giving Hatton an excuse for facing a southpaw?
What was your prediction before this fight?
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
I knew that this fight would go to a Decision..
I have all 40 of hattons fights, and every southpaw he fought he had problems with...So this is NO surprise...
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
its a surprise to those who thought Ricky could walk through Collazo and that just because he took Tszyu's shots he'd be able to take Collazo's well.
Rick was exposed by the same flaws Vilches and Magee exposed that were there years ago, if Ricky was ever going to move forward those openings wouldn't be there anymore, but those openings are still there as they were 5 years ago.
That is as good as Hatton gets against a boxer and he will be beaten next time, not just exposed against that style.
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
YOu talk the way you talk because all you have seen from hatton is Kostya, and this fight.....
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
Wrong again :lickish:
I been following the Hitman for years and I still see the same openings he had 5 and 6 years ago :) This is as good as he's going to get against that style. Otherwise he will look very good against any man who will just stand in front but against a boxer he will always have trouble and his openings will all be exposed AGAIN as I've seen plenty more of Hatton then the Tszyu fight :)
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
In that case then its like i said before...
From here on out, you will lose money EVERYTIME you be against him...

Yes fighting a southpaw can be difficult for a orthodox but isn't hatton a lb.4lber. There are certain ways to fight southpaws and certain punches to throw to nullify the southpaw advantage. Hatton wasn't throwing those kind of punches. The whole southpaw thing is a poor excuse. What,he didn't know he was fighting a southpaw? If hes as good as you think he should of been able to figure collazo out.Judah is a southpaw i consider better than collazo. He and pbf fought and at first floyd was having problems but being the great fighter he is he adapted and then dominated.Hatton couldn't do that against a fighter he was suppose to blow out.
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
He BEAT the fighter he was supposed to blow out, He walked him down all night, and BEAT him....
Zab should NOT be considered because zab would get put to sleep.....

I only picked against Ricky in this fight TBH. And the next time I pick against him will be against Mayweather or Judah in which case I will NOT lose money :)

ZAB WOULD KNOCK HATTON OUT! It's so obvious that its not even funny.
bu then again you think Collazo hits harder then Judah and Mayweather right ::**
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
Judah would get hit with one Left hook and be so wobbly he'd think he's in Japan....
And mayweather....well we have already established that....
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
established what?
And Hatton is open for more things then Judah is ;)
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
Established that Mayweather is a woman, and does not belong in the Ring with a Warrior..

I was about to go to bed but i read this. Mayweather a woman, come on man I hope they get in the ring and if mayweather is a woman like you said who is ricky gonna feel after getting b**** slapped by a woman he wont be able to touch all night he will get slapped because he is a woman right?
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
He thinks Hatton is a warrior because he took shots from Collazo who in his eyes hits harder then Judah and Mayweather ::**
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
is he okay? because it does not appear that way to me?
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
You guys are not understanding....
But i'm gonna log of by saying this..
YOU WILL ALL LOOSE YOUR MONEY IF YOU EVER BET AGAINST HATTON!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
You seem to have lost more then money if you think Collazo hits harder then Judah and Mayweather.
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
then you know what when and if he fight PBF put all that money on him and see how poor you will be after your boy gets slapped around by a woman.
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
You are taking that statement to heart....not understanding what i mean. I mean that collazo at 147 has more power then mayweather at 147 and judah, which will be obvioius when either one of those two guys fights hatton and hatton walks through everything They throw...
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
you mean walks into everything they trow correct because he is not walking thrue Zab's power.
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
So basically you're saying Collazo hits harder then Mayweather or Judah? They are all at the same weight class so. Are you, or are you not saying that Collazo hits harder then Mayweather and/or Judah?

im a hatton fan, but that is sheer blind devotion....hatton needs to do a lot of work if he is to live up to any of his promises...
as a fan i will stick by hatton, but there are questions to be asked and improvements that need to be made...
collazo is not in the same league as PBF on the back of 1 hatton fight....he might be better than expected, but he's no pound for pounder....
the fight raises many questions and hattons next fight and performance will be crucial....

Yea but didnt , Mayweather getting knockdown by judah raise questions? Mayweather loosing the first 4 rounds to judah Raise Questions??? mayweather winning only because judah didnt fight after round 5 Raise questions??? All those things raised questions and then people dismissed them...
This fight was nothing but a feel out at 147. He is the only guy that went from 140 and fought a natural 147 pounder. Judah did it and got smashed by a Bumb (Buldozer), Mayweather went up and fought 2 guys who are 140 pounders.....
Hatton did somehting that neither Judah/ Mayweather did....
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
Actually... No.
Mayweather adapted to the situation and took control of the fight.
Hatton did the same thing over and over again and got beat because of it. He never changed it up, he just did the same thing and never adapted to it he just stuck with plan A. Mayweather switched to plans B and C.
BIG difference.

NO juda got tired....
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
Mayweather also adapted, something Hatton can't do.
-
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
Adapting, Something hatton has done before which was NOT necessary against this Guy he whooped today..

the truth is that hatton stepped up against a relative unknown and had great difficulty....does that not suggest anything?? it didnt go according to plan....hatton was meant to win much more easily....
