I read that Toney may fight Klitschko in Sept. what will happen here?
I think that this would be very interesting, Vlad has to keep busy and Toney does have a good reputation or had a good rep. If Toney shows up at around 230 there will be less of him to knock out.

Toney has no belt though... Valuev only gets s show at either of those guy's to unify... not because he's done anything spectacular... but what has Toney done? beat Ruiz whilst and gotten caught on the Juice... what did Valuev do? the same but atleast he didn't get caught on anything...
Valuev is fighting a bum and Toney fought like a lazy bum... they're the same in my book but Valuev has one of the main belts and once a winner of Wlad-Rahman has emerged (Klitscho... ;)) we're one fight away from having a unified champion again which will step the division into first gear again.

Seriously Toney needs to go away and stop getting shots... this would be his third in a row... He's doing nothing for the division except stalling the belts coming back together... The only thing which will save the heavy weight division is having one undisputed champ with the majority of the belts... you could say Vitali was undisputed but he only had the WBC belt and the place was a mess and only get worse when he left.
All we need is Wlad to get Rahman's belt... (he will ;)) and Wlad to get Valeuvs belt (though I'd settle for Rahman :P).
as long as its some one who can get the belts and keep the belts together long enough to establish some lineage again...

I consider most on this forum to be "educated boxing fans". And then again........there are the ones who think that Toney could beat Wlad.

Toney will literally get tenderized. I don't care how light Toney comes in, if Wlad corners him he's f^cked!
Wlad throws very quick punches. Toney does not stand a chance in this one and I bet that this fight won't even happen. Toney will say that the money's not right or something like that.
At least no one's dumb enough to think that Wlads chin would be a factor in this match up.

He has done nothing in the HW division to merit so many shots.
He is a fat arrogant asshole and to see a boxer so out of shape is a joke
the only reason i can think of is maybe cos he still attracts an audience...

Wlad is to precise, powerfull and rangey for that fat slug to do anything.... if he trys to do his usual rely on the ropes and rely on the other guy to come inside he'll get a shock because Wlad isn't stupid.... if he trys to come forwards he'll loose and do worse than Chris Byrd did.
Sam peter couldn't keep Wlad down and Toney couldn't even get him down in the first place.

Yeah, a title for James Toney right now is a pipe dream...he fought Hasim Rahman totally different than he fought John Ruiz and maybe the steroids really did have something to do with it. I mean he wasn't as active with Rahman, he didn't hit as hard vs Rahman, he fought like he looked vs Rahman.
If Toney has a shot at anyone it's Valuev because he's big, slow, and untalented....all the other title holders would whip his fat ass

Vlad is just trying to keep busy. If they fight in September Vlad will try to get a fight with Rahman in Dec or Jan, if Don King allows it. Don King will want to control as many titles as possible. This will be Toney's last fight, he will get a big pay day and retire. Don King will allow the Belarussian to fight Valuev and control those two titles. But Don King will never lose his grip on the heaveyweight division.

Toney keeps getting shots BECAUSE of his arrogance, he is always in the media of having said something controversial, hence more media, hence more viewership, a sad fact really but that is why he gets so many shots not because he's earned it, but because he sells himself better.

I see Wlad laying back and putting on a jab clinic.....when Toney ries to come in it will be the left hook. Toney is a good counter puncher but I see Wlad doubling the jab and then eventually throwing combos. Once the straight right lands its all over.

No but Wlad's stamina problems and heart could come into play. My response to the insults to those who think Toney could beat Wlad is this: there are boxing fans on here and then there are Klitheads and Toney haters. The Klitheads/Toney haters know who they are.

I mean if James Toney followed the Sanders-Brewster mold then maybe I would give him a chance but he follows more the Chris Byrd mold, slick defense, not a lot of power and that NEVER bodes well for a fighter getting in the ring vs Wlad. Wlad seldom loses a round much less is outboxed throughout a whole fight!
James Toney is short, fat, old, and he has no power and other than the fact that no one has outpointed Wlad his entire pro career he has every chance in the world.
I'm admitting Wlad's shortcomings so don't get it twisted, but he's gonna beat the shit out of James Toney

If James comes in at a 1/2 ass decent shape it is a competitve fight James slipping and counterpunching frustrates Wlad leaving Wlad more exposed and off his game plan......You see James Tony getting all these shots since he is the most credible and well known fighter in the division(politics)
