Far too early to tell...
for me hes doing what is asked of him at this stage of his career... hes only had 7 fights give the guy a chance ;)
should he be heading bills on ITV..... NO
but where dealing with the fickle Joe Public and not hard core boxing fans ;)
Well i think the media have over reacted, but in all truth, he was a 17 year old kid who gave one of the best p4p ameaturs and probably the best ameaturs at the 04 Olympics a run for his money and took the silver medal, then he beat the same guy at age 18, he has raw talent to die for and he has alot to work with, but we have to remmeber he is a 19 year old novice in the pro game he needs good people around him who will bring him on, he is a great fighter and with the right people will go very far, i dont think he is that over hyped, he is well known and thought of writely so after what he did in the Olympics. Look at other fighters who are hyped to the hill and back like Miguel Cotto who did nothing at the 00 Olympics, Kahn is learning and we cant judge him till he has been in with more styles and has picked up more experience.Quote:

Not to sure just yet you could be right, but he should mould a style and with his reflexes should make sure we will never find out. 8)Quote:

If Warren really believes Khan will win the british title later this year, he's totally dreaming, why doesn't he put him in with someone like Martin Watson, who is on the brink of a title shot? I'll tell you why, he's get found out!
That's funny when did Warren say this???? You cant fight for the British title till your 21 which would leave Kahn over a year away, so i dont know where you heard this cos it wont happen. When will he be put in with x and z fighter he has been a pro less than a year, give him a chance, people are so fickle the same people who critized him last night are the same ones who would of said he was a world beater if he had taken him out in the first round.Quote:

amir khan is good, and has some wicked talant, i think he was a bit cocky in his fight on saturday though when he was smiling and puting his hands down, did you see frank warren go mad at ringside!!!
It is his dad who is too big for his boots, demanding big ££ for interviews and lording it around Bolton !!!! He changed after the Olympics !!!Quote:

What have you heard or that turned you off him.
I hope he doesnt turn into a another Naz
would you like to see a match up with your boy kell Brook
You cant blame him for being a bit big headed, any young guy of his age would be the same, he is making millions left right and centre offered all sorts of contracts, being idolised by the british press, but he comes across ok if you ask me ive seen him on a few shows on tv and he seems ok.
What happened to Bojado should be a lesson. If he keeps gooning and doing idiot Naz impressions he's going to turn a lot of people off him.Quote:

his overhyped 2 da max, da 1st crisp power shot hits dat chin his out im tellin u right now, i think his a gud fighter but nothin special, n dat showboatin n shit is not him dats jus fake n i hate fake people sum1 tell him please 2 b himself n b real cuz ill backhand him
even if him being chinny is true, if he boxed to his strengths and used his lightening reflexes more often and kept his hands up, he shouldnt get hit to much anyway.
He doesn't plant his feat so he can't really put much power in his shot.
bloody hell.........too big for his boots?
The kids one of the most down too earth fighters you'll see. All he did was drop his hands...BIG DEAL!!! he didnt go down, he wasnt really hurt just stunned. You can say hes chinny but look at a fighter like roy jones. Now theres a fighter whos too big for his boots and also chinny.
Why do people continue to refer to his chin?, hes only been down once as a ameteur and its not as if he didn't beat the guy after.
Amir Khan is the most overhyped english boxer there is. He gets poor opponents put in front of him just to put his record up. If he gets put in with a decent puncher we'll see how good he is. As for the talk of him getting matched up with these big names, he would get crushed if he fought these guys!
his 7-0 which isnt a briiliant record anyways so of course hell fight ppl with poor records
CC. He's a great kid. He dont go bragging, he's respectful, very down to earth.Quote:

in his last fight he was being a nob. taunting his opponent and shit. i think if it was a couple of more rounds he could of lost
I think he is very talented going forward, fast hands, straight ounches and he is very young, so fitness is not a problem. He was shaky when under pressure, but experience will help that.
He's never been tagged properly, so its hard to tell about his chin.
I think that his mindset will be the thing that decides whether he makes it or not (plus the greed of his dad, who wants astronomical sums of money for every interview the kid does.)
To sum up, I think he will keep winning, as long as he does not have to drive himself to his fights !!
i think hes a good boxer but when he like keeps his face open and lets the oponent hit him and says its for entertainemnt i dont find no point of dat well he still hasnt lost a match ;D hes actually gotten alot of young people to start boxing (like me) :P
have u seen his age u can talk hes the best boxer EVER at the age of 17 what so he fights people double his ageQuote:

I think he could be good if he had more power.
Hi MD it tells me theirs no natural progression, in his conditioning. From 16 to 19 the years of growth there hasnt been any, why.
Hi yersel Scrap. I hope the people around him are training him holistically and not just keeping him light and relying on his natural speed to get him by. Your spot on, there doesn't appear to be much natural or unnatural physical development at a time where he should be laying strong foundations to build on for the future.
"holistically" - what, with yoghurt and spirit crystals?
LOL. Nice one X!Quote:

I meant training all the required aspects and components to make him a top quality athlete; getting the most out of his natural talent and lay building blocks for the future.
agree i hate that fake shit aswell. i got to say so far hes looked quite good but his oponents were small weak superfeathers at most. when he does fight someone his own size and of better quality we can judge how gd he is.Quote:

one thing i dont like bout khan and other young fighters is that tjhey not busy enough, i mean, just look at a young toney, 46 fights in 6 years. and alot of them title fights!!! welljames is a throwback fighter anyways.
another thing i dont like about khan is he treats boxing like a game. you have some guys who are innit cos they like fighting n stuff, butt this guy is talking about retirement after his 2nd fight. WE NEED MORE JAMES TONEY'S!!!!! WATCH HIS FIGHT ON THE 2ND SEPT! ;)
khan is a very nice lad i have had the pleasure of meeting him @ a.b.c. blackburn,he is a very well balanced young man i do believe he can go all the way.he does travel up & down the country motivating the up & coming future champs, com on guys lets get behind this guy,hes a winner.
Took his poster down now have you emma?
crush passed? ::**
Arent we being ridiculously harsh on the guy.
There is no question he has got supreme talent, to lose to the best P4P amatuer in the world at 17 in the Olympic final is no disgrace what so ever. He even beat him in the rematch a year later.
All this stuff about having a glass jaw is purely SPECULATION and thats it, noone knows wether his jaw is any good so stop assuming that its rubbish.
The complaints about his cockiness are a bit skewed aswell, YES he is a bit big headed but what do you expect hes a boxer for christs sake. All this step up competition stuff is perfectly valid but Khan doesnt pick his opponents does he, thats babysitter Warrens job. The reason he gets a bit cocky is he knows he can crush these guys and thinks (misguidedly) that hes providing some form of entertainment.
And finally about the weight issue, if you compare the olympic version of Khan to the one you see now, its clear that hes a lot more stocky and muscled in the chest area. Hes only 19 can we please just give him a break.
Oh no
Please say it is'nt you? :o
There is no doubt Amir has all the talent, speed, class needed to go all the way and the way he unites the majority of british peoples is refreshing, but the moment he dedicated his last fight to an ass that is Nassem Hamed i lost all respect for him.
Khan is a phoney, he will be found out soon enough. The guy who said he beat Kindelan in the re-match needs a reality check, anyone who doesn't realise that Kindelan was given a bung to lose the fight needs their head examined, even Kindelans sister came out with it a few months ago, she said she was disgusted that Kindelan threw the fight for a handful of money. Khan wont even win a british title, he's a bigheaded, hype believing, prince soundalike. Can't wait till he's found out, I will laugh my arse off. ;D ;D ;D ;D :lickish:
