I train up at Fitzroy Lodge when I can, got A Levels at the moment so I'm away for a few months. Was just wondering if there are any guys from London who train up at the Lodge or elsewhere?

Whats it Like under the Archers now, got any good boys down there at the moment
Im assuming u meant arches and therfore mean the lodge.
Well Anthony Small turned pro last year who'd been with us for ages. He's 10-0 now and comes back frequently.
We also had a guy, Martin Welch reach the semis of the ABA's at welter this year, he could of easily won, very good boxer.
Not sure when your last experience of the Lodge was so Ill throw these out there. Scott Harrison doesnt box with us anymore but won the ABA's two years ago when he did. David Haye boxed his am career with us. I'm sure I could dig up more if I think.
How do you know the lodge? (assuming you do and I didnt waffle on for ages for no reason)
Im an old Lodge boy, very good memorys I have of the place
I'm going to London in October any good gyms and addresses please

Fitzroy Lodge ABC

Renowned as one of the best, if not the best in the country, definitely the most storied.
Tuesday and Thursday nights are pretty full with the regular keep fitters and boxers but thers always room for more.
Wednesday nights is juniors, during the day any time is quiet.
Saturday is one massive session for the Saturday club - Avoid lol
IS it a rule of thumb that boxing clubs do all the main stuff on a thursday and tuesday? if ever theres a show on up here its a thursday and our club is always packed on a tuesday and a thursday...
Must be an unwritten rule of boxing clubs... :P
WEST HAM ABC
how many of you go to a good modern club? my club is behind a pub it has 2 rings 7 heavy bags and 1 floor to ceiling bag, its a pretty old place but its the closest to me
My gyms got loads of good stuff, we only have one small ring but there are like 20 bags... different weights and shapes. Most of them are heavy bags then we have a few double end bags, speed balls and something my coach made which looks like a mushroom...
Theres a video of my gym, a short film was filmed there about a kid getting bullied (or something... ;)) called 'My Hero' got a copy on my HDD but I'm not sure if I can post it for copyright reasons ;)
Where is Lambeth? I want to go to a gym in Edmonton,I heard it is good and I'm only going to enjoy myself.
one of the best? to be honest i never heard of it, i heard of Repton (alot of people i know train or trained there) and the Peacock gymnasiumQuote:

Game I dont give numbers out, but if you go down Tottanham high st its near White Hart Lane, or ring the ABA up they will give it to you
i dont actually go to repton i said i know people who train there, i train in west ham abcQuote:

Anyone know of any more centrally? Maybe around Westminster/Chelsea /Earls Court /South Kensington area.
London probably
You'll struggle to find too many there, there's All Stars on the Harrow Road, up near Ladbroke Grove. Otherwise the Lodge, which everyone else has mentioned is good & only about 10 mins walk from Waterloo & 2 mins from North Lambeth stn. If you choose to go there, go in the morning sessions, and just do your fitness work & shadowboxing in front of a mirror. If you go straight on the bags, Mick, who owns the place, will tell you to fuck off. If he sees you putting in some effort & trying, he'll ask you what you wanna do.
