I enjoyed watching him fight (and praying he would lose). I just didn't like his personality. I truely boring champ from all sides is John Ruiz. Ugh. I wish someone would Tua him and get this over with.
Johnny Nelson, Sven Ottke and Johnny Ruiz come to mind immediately
Winky Wright
Hopkins
Ruz
ruiz ;)
ruiz :o
Lacy
Hopkins
I don't get the Hopkins thing. He's not a knockout artist but is a true example of the sweet science. (most fights anyway) I dont' get the Winky thing either. I love watching both of'em.Quote:

That's a joke right? I know you have issues with the guy but come on.Quote:

Did Ali have an affair with your mom resulting in the break up of your parents marriage? You need to let it go Lyle.Quote:

Agreed...but again...as I always say...people base what Hopkins has done in the twilight of his career & nobody goes back & watches his fights as he was coming up.Quote:

If you consider that boring...then you just don't know.
Also... :coolclick: for giving B his dues.
I always found Chris Byrd to be boring not that hes a bad fighter
I'll say this, Hopkins was smart with how he fought, could he of made it better for us fans? Sure but I doubt he'd of had the same legacy. VS Taylor (both), Oscar, and Tito he was exciting to me. The biggest fights of his career he showed up for, which is more than anyone like Ruiz or Ottke can say.
Tarver is way up there, anyone on the contender, definately Chris Byrd (as good as he is), Dominick Guinn here lately, Audrey Harrison, Carlos Boldizar, and just to piss Sal off ZAB JUDAH
Chris Byrd is a Hall of Famer in this category
I tell you what is boring, you turning every thread into an anti Ali piece.Quote:

I don't hate him because he's a muslim...I don't like him a s a person but that has nothing to do with him as a boxer. I mean I don't like Sonny Liston as a person but he was a good boxer too.Quote:

Ali is just one of many fighters I find boring. And just because I find them boring it doesn't mean I think they don't have skill I just don't like their style.
WINKY WRIGHT - it's horrible watching his style but it's damn effective
Jack Johnson - partially because some of his fights lasted 80 rounds
Any David Tua fight that goes the distance (exception Ike Ibeabuchi fight)
Bernard Hopkins - FOULS, all the time rough housing, no action until the 8th round
Evander Holyfield - It may be because he gets compared to Tyson a bunch but his style while effective wasn't as fun to watch....(maybe punching power is the reason)
Sam Soliman - now he might be fun to watch but his style is just UGLY
Paulie Malinaggi - all around I hate this guy! Style, attitude, I just dislike him
Johnny Nelson hasn't had enough mentions. I fell asleep so deep during one of his fights that my girlfriend pannicked and thought I was in a coma. :stars:
Lennox Lewis was piss boring
lennox lewis borin..behave..o yeah the klistschko..rahman.tyson..bruno..briggs..to name a few were really borin wernt they.....fool
Mercer, Gollota Grant, both McCall fights weren't exactly dull either - ;)
He was still a boring champ, had no personality and Bruno, Briggs and Rahman weren't all that exiting.Quote:

Agreed 100%.Quote:

That was an awful fishy choice in adjectives wasn't it? Just sounds plum dirty didn't it.........like maybe there's some fantasy scenario going on there.Quote:
