Re: Out of all the second generation fighters who looks most promosing?
Personally...I think Hopkins looks pretty impressive & not every man on his record is a fall guy...but that's just my opinion...I think that it's a bit early for me to pass that kind of judgement though...then again...I just did...so D-Hop get's my vote.
Good question.

Re: Out of all the second generation fighters who looks most promosing?
I say Ronald Hearns and Jorge Paez Jr are the best ones. By the way you left out Gerardo Cuevas. Pipino Cuevas son. He's 7-0.

Re: Out of all the second generation fighters who looks most promosing?
Camacho jr already blew his load he will do no better....I like D-Hop I would like to see how Pryor jr turns out in a year or two His Dad was one of my favorites if he is half as good or focused

I haven't seen Gerardo Cuevas is he any good. I like Jorge Paez Jr the best of the bunch. although Julio Cesar Chavez Jr has improved in his last fights.

Re: Out of all the second generation fighters who looks most promosing?
Spinks if he beats Karmazin.
-
Re: Out of all the second generation fighters who looks most promosing?
I would say
D-Hop
Paez Jr.
McGirt Jr
JCC Jr.
-
Re: Out of all the second generation fighters who looks most promosing?
JCC Jr. is nearly 30 fights in his career and hasn't fought a ranked opponent.

Spinks is somewhat established
this topic was for prospects.
JCC Jr is still a prospect

He looks good now. But like the rest, he's just beating up on bums

Re: Out of all the second generation fighters who looks most promosing?
JCC is like 20 with no amatuer experience. I don't want to hear this "he hasn't fought anyone" business until he is like 22 or 23. He's not even on the list for me because it would be like ranking an amatuer because he won't step up for a long time.
I would say Paez is the best so far.

Its ironic then that he (JCC) seems to get more attention than all of the others. I've seen about 5 of his fights versus none of any of the others!
Is this just coincidence in that he's always been on an undercard of a fight I'm watching or does he have much more exposure than all of the others on here?
Demetrius Hopkins is a name I've heard thrown around a few times so I'll go with him.

Re: Out of all the second generation fighters who looks most promosing?
It was Camacho Jr, until Jesse James Leigha. Now, the rest is too green. Still have to go with Camacho Jr.

Have you checked who his father is?
That might have something to do with it ;)
Same with Jordan Jr., Griffey Jr. it happens when your father was a great of the sport you'll get more attention and thank god that he got a draw and a loss wouldn't be bad either IMO. I think it would take alot of pressur off of him. Even after that draw I think it was a relief for him people aren't talking as much about him as before that fight.

Camacho Jr? Sc for such a poor choice. Camacho had his chance and blew it. He won't get another one.

Have a :sadclick: back. Camacho had his chance, but could be in the mix again, right now. He has a name, and has been exposed. I'm sure he could get a fight with Vargas, Mayorga, or even Margarito. There was even talk of a fight with Tony. He's a wuss, but if he tried, he could get a fight. Also, I don't like him very much, but he'd destroy all the guys mentioned on the list. Mostly because they're too green, but he would still beat them.

Maybe you should read the thread title again. It says which one looks the most promising? Not which one can get fights right now.

I still say Camacho. He might have cried like a wuss when he got cut, but at this point right now, he has more skill than any of those guys. The only 1 I havent seen on the list is Cuevas. Hearns, McGirt, and JCC Jr are fighting guys who shouldn't be aloud in a boxing ring. Some have good qualities, but none have the skill of Camacho Jr at this time. Camacho probably shouldn't be on that list, just because he's been around for awhile, and I don't consider him a prospect like the other guys. The only reason I picked him is because he is more established, and his future could still be bright. As far as the rest, I say Paez. McGirt Jr could be something if he listens to daddy. he has the size and reach, but needs to work on footwork and balance.

Camacho has shown little of the skills he once flashed. I'm wondering if he even possess them any more.

He isn't as fast as he was at 140, but he can still fight. what happened to him {getting scared the first time he gets in a real fight-Leigha}, I think will happen to JCC Jr. I'd really like to see Camacho fight the winner of Vargas-Mosely, or Spinks-Karmazin, or drop to 147 and get in there with someone. Sure, he might lose, but i think he could do good, and it would make things more interesting. I mean, why take up space? He still has some skills, and one fight against a can of corn, on the undercard of a PPV, plus his name, could help hype a bigger fight. I say, get the f**k in there and fight some top guys, or retire. If you lose, at least be like your dad, and go out like a man. Don't just hide in the shadows.

Re: Out of all the second generation fighters who looks most promosing?
Hopkins looked good when i saw him. I expected more from Chavez junior but there is still time and he still has bundles of talent.
