no
how dare u say no do u realise rocky only lost 1 fight in his prolonged career >:mad >:mad >:mad
the answer is yes he is possibly the greatest fighter to ever come from america ;)
He's almost 60 and still can act like a boxer, so he must've been pretty good.
Sly could never box... ;) maybe to the untrained eye that bobbing arm crossing thing he did looked like boxing but it was just his 'artistic' take on the way a boxer moved... ;)
In his head Stallone thinks he can box
He never competed amateur or pro. So he was never really a boxer
not really, he looked pretty amateurish in his movies...
No defense, always out of position to throw a punch etc etc
Listen to Adam (which also happens to be my name btw)
And though he isn't really a good boxer, he does know his fair share about the sport and has done a lot of good for it.
Probably about as good as Russel Crowe.
i saw in countless documentaries about stallone that he had to learn to box for the rocky movies
Yea I heard Denzel Washington had to really learn to play Basketball in "he got game"'... Did you see how competitive his 1 on 1 match with Ray Allen was?? Why doesn't he just join the NBA... ::**Quote:

every1 criticizes him 4 not being a good boxer..........g let me think hes an actor and has no intentions to get the heavyweight title.........with the oppostion in the heavy division stallone becoming heavyweight champ can b a true vision
Who's critizing him for not being a good boxer?... I'd rather critisize him for not being a good actor :P
i thought sly crapped his trunks during some scene for rocky part 8000000000000000?
Why you gotta hate on Stallone? :cwm23:
no hating man! goooooooo rocky! but when he is 99 and still fighting then the hate will begin...Quote:

Great scene from contender season 1 was when the camera panned round as the guys walked in from the challenge and there was sly. In jeans, cowboy boots and vest with no headgear sparring with some idiot in the ring. It looked like sly had him on the ropes and was giving him a working over. Only sly could pull that cheesey shyte off.
The thing was so worked it was hilarious. They then went up to slys office which had 'Sly Stallone' in big letters on the door.
The man is a fukcing god. ;D
sly is actually kind of a chicken ....
lol funny story on dave letterman ..he was supposed to go to iraq to help support & visit the troops and he didnt even go visit cause eh thought his chopper my get shot down or somthin
I think Rocky showed great technique in his second bout with Clubber Lang. Thanks to Apollo.
That was his greatest performance ever in any of his fights. 8)
Nah Stallone could never actually box. I saw that sparring scene from contender too. That was fu**ing hilarious!! You could tell Sly's technique improved slightly throughout the rocky movies. In Rocky 1&2 for example his technique was aweful. Then in Rocky 3&4 you could see a small improvment. Then in Rocky 5 he was trying to teach a real boxer boxing technique, and it all sounded good I guess. He can do a fair job now of bullsh**ing everyone into looking like he knows what he is doing. The guess it all comes with being a actor. I also think that Sly Stallone has done more for the sport of boxing, then a lot of great boxers have done. And his show of his "the contender" is a hit that helps bring boxing to another level. I can't wait to see Rocky 6. I actually think this movie could be better than all other Rocky's from the script I read.
Rocky was pro, but he was in porn film (true look it up) not boxing
no way, his greatest performance was against the russian-Quote:

If you are gonna ask about Stallone out of assumption of how he looked in the movie its only fair to wonder about Apollo(Carl Weathers) he looked far more superior Boxing wise than Stallone and at least Weathers Played College and Pro FootballQuote:
