So what is ShowTime gonna do?
just show the flyweight fight? this is not good for showtime, they are already losing their fighters. Hatton and soon to be Calzaghi. Pretty soon they will be out of the fight game. ShoBox is the only good thing they have left.
-
Re: So what is ShowTime gonna do?
Yup. Castillo is in trouble. Corrales, Arum, Shaw, and Showtime have to be breathing down his neck now.

Hatton was never a showtime fighter......warren was a showtime promoter :lickish:
Fucking joke about castillo tho.

Re: So what is ShowTime gonna do?
What should showtime do? Move the Dawson Harding fight to Saturday ;)

You mean broadcast it then or move it? Because they can't really move it...

Where's the Shobox fight? If it was in the same venue it would be easier to move but if it's in another state I can see why. Can Corrales fight a replacement lightweight? Like Castillo did when Corrales injured his rib??

The Dawson fight is like an hour away....it wouldn't sit to good with the ticket holders.
And Corrales pulled out like a month ahead of the fight date for Castillo. Any replacement they would get would either be a bloated featherweight or some clubfighter.

Re: So what is ShowTime gonna do?
Better then training for nothing, at least get some work in and give us something to look forward to in your next fight.
-
Re: So what is ShowTime gonna do?
Yeah, get Augusts, Nate Campell, or that guy who recently fought Augustus in there. And for Castillo, give em Ricardo Torres and see how he likes that, wants to fight at Jr. Welter so much. ;D

Getting Augustus may not be a bad idea ;)

Re: So what is ShowTime gonna do?
Is Floyd Mayweather Jr available?

Too funny. ;D
I agree that there should be some serious ramifications for chubby. Banned from fighting in the US for a year may snap him back into shape. He's cost some people a lot of money and he's cost us all the chance to see a great fight.
I'm VERY GLAD that I didn't act on my desire to go to Vegas for this fight. If I'd forked out a grand or so for the trip I'd be looking for a class action suit.

Re: So what is ShowTime gonna do?
They should get some lightweight out there that can present a small challenge...um... Nate Campbell? Issac Hiayaswatto or whatever is a name you can put in on short notice. Augustus is probably the only one on weight.
I remember once they asked a fighter in from the crowd at the event(and the boxer was eating a donut) because of a similar situation. And actually the boxer that came out of the crowd beat the champion!!!!! ;D

He's never been knocked out in his life and he's been in with the best.

Re: So what is ShowTime gonna do?
Give me a better Lightweight for Corrales to fight on short notice that may actually be on weight

Joel Casamayor. The guy he begged for a rematch with, but refused a rubber match with.
-
Re: So what is ShowTime gonna do?
Do you think that Joel is close to being on weight right now?

They say he suppose to fight in July. He can't be to far off. Either way, I'm pretty sure any fight would of been non-title anyway.

Re: So what is ShowTime gonna do?
It's a shame Danny Williams isn't a lightweight, he would do it for sure! ;D

Yeah, Williams does seem to always be eager to show people how much he sucks.

besides as Corrales is they want a "moderate" challenge that Corrales would stop late. not someone who would without a doubt beat him a third time.

Very, very true. Corrales in reality is 0-2 against Casamayor. He won't risk 0-3.

Nope. but they'd probably just rob him. He drops corrales 3 times in the fight and he would lose the decision by 8 rounds on one judges card ;)
Its not like Freitas wants to fight Casamayor again, not even Kid Diamond wants to fight him again. Casamayor is the new "avoided one" He should be undefeated and top 5 p4p right now. Mayweather never fought him for a reason. Because at super featherweight Casamayor was much better. He also beat Corrales BOTH times. Corrales is a hypocrite. He begs and begs and begs for a rematch with Casamayor, and gets it, HE GETS CASAMAYOR'S TRAINER and Casamayor beats him again and gets robbed the decision. Why did Corrales fight Freitas(someone Casamayor already beat) instead of Casamayor again? because he knew that even at his boxing or slugging best Casamayor beat him.
