Who is your favorite active fighter (not necessarily who you think is the best)?
Someone who you always enjoy watching....
Floyd Mayweather and ODLH a close second.
Vic Darchinyan. Killa puncher for a flyweight.
Always has exciting fights, having watched many of his early fights in Australia. 8)
Lately, I've been enjoying watching Paul Williams, non-stop all fight.
I don't think he is the most talented, just fun to watch
Pretty Boy Floyd has to be the most exciting fighter around. Hate him or love him when he get's in the ring he is something to watch. Pacman get's an honorable mention.
ODLH and WLAD....love seeing what they are going to do next...Quote:

I like fights, not track meets.

If I ignore homer picks for a second, because Calzaghe, Hatton, Danny Williams, David Haye and Anthony Small are always gonna be top of my list there.
Ignoring them heres my top 5 in order
1) Winky Wright
2) Ivan Calderon
3) Pacman
4) Jorge Arce
5) Joel Julio
joe calzaghe, ricky hatton, danny williams, amir kham, i love watching british boxers. I do really enjoy watching other fighters as well, and respect there sometimes superior talent, there is just something special bout homecountry boxers!
Absolutely no doubt in my mind that Joe Calzaghes Utter Masterclass against Lacy is THE BEST peformance of pure skill, speed and dominance i've seen of any fighter in years.
I know I already said ODLH and WLAD but that's because I am weaning my self off of B-HOP because he is getting ready to retire.....Quote:

1. ODLH
2. PACMAN
3. MORALES
4. PBF
5. R"BB"B<==Rey Boom Boom Bautista

Sorry to sound nosesy, just wondering what the attraction is to you...
Arce is the one id go out of my way to watch
joe Calzaghe , castillo , maccarinelli & haye.
Winky Wright. He defines the word 'Boxer'. Hit and not be hit. His dominance of Trinidad was awseome. He's not flashy just superb at what he does. But i can understand why some wouldn't like him because he isn't always in the most exciting fights but thats usualyy because he is too good.
well it was tyson then her retired then it was trinidad he retired, so ill have to say mosley is my fav fighter right now who is still fighting
Wlad
Taylor
Cotto
Julio
Duddy
Lacy
Eddie Chambers
Forgot Duddy, that's a good one!!Quote:

There isn't much choice for the HW division except to be on an upswing, as it's been on a downward keel for sooooo long.Quote:

As for top fighters, my faves are:
1) Joe Calzaghe (blatantly obvious and biased, as a Welsh Boxing fan)
2) ODLH
3) Gary Lockett
4) Nikolay Valuev (yes I know he ain't great, but it's like watching a strange mix of man and beast who is slightly confused as to what he's doing fighting in a ring)
5) Mark Hobson (as he was on telly last week in a top fight)
Granted, I don't get to see much more than a few highlights of all the boxing that goes on in the states, so apologies to all the great American and other fighters who I am not crediting, but I can only judge what I see.
Pacman, Hatton, Winky and Toney
Pac the Destroyer
Ricky The Hitman Hatton
The Raging Bull VIc Darchinyan
And Winky Wright.
I have quite a few:
Antonio Margarito-NON STOP POWER PUNCHING MACHINE
Pacman-RAW POWER AND ENERGY
Erik Morales-EVERY FIGHT IS A WAR
MAB-EVERY FIGHT IS EXCITING
JMM/RM-GREAT TECHNIQUE/POWER
Jorge Arce-ALL FIGHTS ARE AWESOME
Calderon-AMAZING TECHNIQUE ETC
Miguel Cotto-HAS IT ALL AND LIKE HIS LAID BACK STYLE
Chico Corrales-BANGING POWER,WEAK CHIN=HE WILL KO OR BE KOED
B-Hop-LOVE THE WAY HE JUST BROKE SOMEONE'S WILL
PBF-ARTIST IN ACTION
wINKY wRIGHT-amazing to see his defence!Impreganable!
and a few more which I cannot remember at the mo' ;D
i have to say i love my hometown boys... Manfredo is a good fighter but I loved Balletto(Gary "the tiger") What a monster... He's in the Contender this year......Word!!!
Thinking about fighters that I really get pumped about watching:
1) Hatton
2) Cotto
3) Floyd
4) Pacman
5) Erik
It's a crime those top three are being kept apart and I believe Hatton is the man who wants the fights - but Arum don't want Cotto near Hatton and Floyd has bigger fights to chase just now
Gotta be the Hitman!!
The most exciting fighter to watch IMO.
Closely followed by Barrera mind ;)
