Errrr. I really like Oscar and I feel comfortable with him winning this fight (because of his skill but most importantly his natural weight advantage), but I'll be damned if I didn't wish he could shut his father the hell up. It's not Floyd senior out there fighting. Oscar De La Hoya is going to be the one throwing and taking punches out in that ring. How could a father say those things? What a punk. I wish he'd lace up the gloves and step out there with PBF. Then we'd see who the real daddy is and it wouldn't be that glass jawed, chicken legged sorry excuse for a father. I'm not even a PBF fan, but I'll admit he's 10 times the fighter Floyd Sr ever was. I'll even admit he's probably the best P4P fighter out there (this hurts as a Hatton fan). Floyd Sr is just jealous. Flat out Jealous. It's sad. I feel bad for PBF. I don't want this fight to even happen anymore, because of this S***. I wouldn't feel good about either person winning now. Argh. This is the first time boxing has really gotten to me. That's not how you treat your son. Calling him an Asshole to the press. Growl. I'm so pissed.

Personally I think a father can have no dignity to such things about his son.
As far as I'm aware Floyd Junior has never made such nasty comments in public.
Pretty Boy must have got his self respect and integrity from his mother's side :P

i have an wierd feeling it is really all promotion ..theyre just letting it build so that the people start paying attention ,then it will be like some huge father vs son world circus and a future fight of the year candidate
...and then pbf out boxes ODH for 12 rounds and they all go to dinner afterwards lol

Floyd Sr. is a fucking prick, isn't this the same guy that chose dealing drugs rather seeing your own son go to the Olympics? Most likely, there is a little bit of hype invovled too. Yall make Oscar out to be a saint, I've heard that he is a very shrewd businessman, I bet you that he told Floyd to start planting seeds. This fight should easily do a 1.2-1.4 buyrate on PPV. Damn, I am already waiting for the HBO Countdown preview.

well...If my son kicked me out of his house because of a disagreement that would suck a**...the fact that PBF doesn't let his dad see his grandkids is sad......PBF SR knows more about his son than any of us ever will...and If he is willing to say his son is a disrespectful little SOB than you kinda gotta believe him.....I have never read any negative article on PBF SR before....why would he conjure this stuff up if it wasn't true....maybe he is telling everyone this so they can understand why this fight is going down....but remember this isn't the first time a father has had to coach against his son.....It's just on the biggest stage now....

I remember before the Corrales fight when all this Mayweather stuff was carrying on and Floyd Snr was whining in public a hack interviewed Floyd jnr's grandad and Floyd snr's Dad ( confused yet ? ) and he gave an indepth interview .
He basiclly said that Floyds arrogance comes from his father telling him he would be the new Sugar Ray Robinson and how he was destined for greatness from a young age !
He said if anybody needed to learn some respect it was Floyd Snr an individual i have nothing but contempt for !!
Floyd snr was jailed for 90 months for his part in a drug ring whist he was in the Slammer Roger Mayweather took the reins got lil Floyd too 18-0 and a world title and Snr thought he would get released and just take over again .
lil Floyd and Roger were having none of it and i dont blame them the man has nothing but bad things to say for anyone who he is'int training or is'int Floyd Mayweather snr.

What an arrogant bastar'd he clearly needs humbling Roger was the 2 weight champion and a cracking fighter at world class Floyd was nothing more than a fringe club fighter and local nasty bit of work .
I love to hear how De La Hoya has so much respect for somebody who deals in poison and disowns his entire family when he cant get his own way .
Floyd may well be a full of it gobshite ( not a bad fighter either ) but i actually think he did the right thing turning his back on his old man .

I doubt Floyd SR is hyping up the fight... I mean come on the fight is not even on. But Floyd SR and Floyd JR have deep issues. I mean put yourself in Floyd SR. shoes, you raise your son. You show him everything he knows about boxing ( ofcourse Floyd perfected the style with shoulder roll but still floyd SR taught him a few and that led up to his style floyd jr just enhanced it) then he kicks you out the house when he is at the prime of his carrer, doesnt let you see your grandchild, avoids you. I mean theres more to this story that only Big Floyd n lil floyd know.
