Why did Tarver get his Milk Dud head bashed in so easily by B-Hop?
What do you boys and girls think is the reason or reasons behind B-Hop humilating Tarver in such a one sided fashion? HOLLAAAAR BACK :lickish:

Hopkins is just a more skilled boxer even though he is smaller. The public is trying to give the Rocky 6 excuse for Tarver, him having to lose 50 pounds. But I don't buy it because he lost to a fighter who went up in weight 15 pounds for the fight, Tarver should have dominated him.

so in other words u too chose option: B-Hop realized his big mistake of not doing jack the first 6 rounds of both JT fights and so he brought it from the opening bell Philly style!!!!

Basicall yTarver IMO was and never been a great boxer, the guy was beaton and struggled against Johnson who is a good guy but far from the elite i mean he struggled to beat Clinton Woods who at the time of the fight was nothing more than a decent boxer, Tarver has always been over rated. Props to B-Hop legend but for me a bigger test would of been agaisnt Calzaghe.

B-HOP is an all around better fighter.....bottom line... Not to mention B-HOP is the best fighter Tarver has faced.... B-HOP!!!!!!!! HOF Bound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tarver struggled with coming back down in weight and that fact coupled with a game B-HOP meant disaster for Tarver.

Hopkins just knew exactly what to do to beat Antonio tarver. And Tarver had a false mentality that just because he beat one great fighter meant that he was a great fighter. He can only beat the style of Roy Jones Jr. he is by no means better and would struggle at any other fighter. He's nothing special, he just had the style to beat Roy.

Star as much as you usually bring the true facts about roy..i gotta disagree..tarver didn't have the style to beat roy..he got lucky...it was more of being at the right place at the right time...
Jones' style would have torn tarver a new asshole...he would have stopped Tarver had the fight taken place before the ruiz fight...i don't think tarver's style had anything to do with it....now for the reason hop beating him..i think would have beat him anyway, although i did pick tarver because i felt like he'd possibly get lucky again....
But after the fight bhop said that tarver had good power and felt how tarver could ko roy jones....i wondered what would have happened had tarver not been weakened by the weight loss...again i think hop could have won, but not by a blowout..i think this was clearly due to the weight loss...tarver had fucking tits..that was horrible...

So Joe Calzaghe aint a good fighter??
He is only on around 95-100 % of peoples top ten p4p, and id say 80% top 5?? So he would struggle against any other good fighter but not Calzaghe, how does that one work Starr?? You contradicting yourself a little if you ask me.

As a jones fan i loved every minute of the asswhooping that tarver took, but truth is the man was hindered by the weight loss..it was obvious...yeah bhop had the game plan and executed it brilliantly..and i loved every minute of it...tarver was weakened...and being weakened hop still said he hit hard...and i think could he ko joe, but not likely....i think tarver is done...he sounded like he might return to the pipe after that fight...

hahaha COOL CLICK u made me laugh with the return to pipe comment. i have to agree with u. judging by the way he fought looked like he's been hitting the pipe again already. but in all fairness i think he took it up the nose more so than thru the pipe. tarver also got it 10fold for giving RJJ so much BS about the weight as an EXCUSE haahahha. but B-Hop did impress me that night i have to admit. i usually do not appreciate B-Hops style of not doing shizzzzzzzznit for the first 6 rounds, but that night B-Hop brought it from bell to bell and fought SMART! he really did not give tarver anything clean to hit all night. plus B-Hop got a bonus 250K for not getting ko'd in the first 6 haahaha.

yea and UNLIKE tarver, Roy actually FOUGHT at Heavyweight and won a title. Tarver fought in the movies at heavyweight not even a real fight. Roy moved down and fought Tarver in his division and WON. tarver moved down and fought a middleweight moving up to his division and he lost every round. tarver talked so much shit about Roy coming down. I think Tarver's ego is shattered because now he doubts that he was ever really good enough to stay in with Roy or if it was the weight all along. Difference is Roy won Tarver didn't. Roy is greater, then we ever gave him credit for.

I was so happy that Tarver lost maybe we wont hear his mouth for a while, I never liked him and yes he tried to immulate what RJJ did and he failed miserably. had he faced roy in his prime it would have been a blowout. I am just so happy he lost soundly he cant say he does not get the credit he deserves because he has he was getting credit for a mediocer fighter and he is.

i dont know Starr, Tarver did really fight at HW as Mason Dixy Line and I hear he beats the great Rocky Balboa down. hahahaha. their silly choreographed fights made me laugh. they swing at each other and miss by like 6inches. thats why i think Tarver couldnt land on B-Hop all night he got too used to that fake movie fighting style ahahha

RJJ,JC,B-HOP all 3 fighters are much better then Tarver. Prime RJJ would kick Tarver A$$,same with JC and B-HOP already prove that at age 41 going up in weight.There is no reason to bring weight for reason for him getting beaten by better fighter. He is overrated IMO,I do not like him for talking s*** about RJJ and how he deserves respect by talking s*** and cant back it up. He just got lucky in sec fight with RJJ and from there he was thinking he is best fighter on whole world BS. Go back to your pipe punk

And Tarver thought that because he beat a great, that that makes him great. But he didn't capitalize on it. Just because you beat a great fighter doesn't instantly make you a great fighter, you have to EARN it just like they did, the thing is Tarver never wanted to earn it, he just wanted the names on his record, and his plan backfired.
I knew this when Tarver said "Bernard Hopkins will be in the ring with the greatest fighter he ever faced."

Hopkins is that much better than Tarver and that's the bottom line. I also believe taylor is a lot better that people give him credit for. Just thought i'd throw that in.

You make a great point Entragian. Thats what I've been trying to figure out myself. IF Hopkins is so great then why do most boxing fans think taylor is a bum? ??? This doesnt make sense. If one is great then the other must be also. Anyway, Tarver has always IMO had a questionable chin himself, he doesnt like to mix it up with someone who wants to fight either. Bhop said its my last fight, the hell with defense and got all over tarver like a crazed dog. I personally thought in the tarver vs jones jr. fights we would have gotten better contest if they would have ran the 100 meter dash since they both like running so much.
