Here is the preview for ECW on Sci Fi tonight from ECW:

Tonight, the new breed will be unleashed. At 10/9 CT, ECW will make its debut on the Sci-Fi channel. As announced last night on RAW, Paul Heyman and Rob Van Dam will officially celebrate the rechristening of the WWE Championship as the new ECW World Heavyweight Championship, and everyone is invited.

What exactly the rechristening will entail is anyone’s guess. One thing is for sure though, RAW’s Edge, who is the No. 1 contender and will face RVD at Vengeance, along with Lita has accepted Paul Heyman’s invitation to appear at the world premiere. In addition, former WWE Champion John Cena has vowed to be there as well. After what Cena did last night on RAW, taking out three members of Team ECW with a steel chair, you can be sure Heyman will have the entire ECW locker room on watch.

What will happen when the most extreme form of wrestling returns to national television? What will John Cena and Edge have to say when Rob Van Dam is named the new ECW World Heavyweight Champion? History will be made tonight and the only way to see it is to tune in live to the Sci Fi channel tonight at 10/9 CT.

I don't know if it can succeed...Most of the wrestler in it have little charisma or real athletic ability...but man do they beat the shat out of each other!!!!!!!!! I'll check it out ...again and see what they have to offer....but Raven sucks and they always seem to push him way to much........

i dont think they got raven yet, they have to wait for his tna contract to expire i think, if youve never seen the old ECW, its not really about the charisma, the charisma came from the atmosphere,

trhe thing alot of people dont remember is that the ECW had guys who were REAL talented and they did matches without weapons(benoit, gurerro, i think malenko was there) then they would bring out the guys who did crazy and innovative shit (sabu, new jack) then it was about the guys who would let people hit them with all kinds of shit (dreamer, sandman) it was a complete package, and i guess paulie explained to mcmahon that alot of the sucess was due to the talent that he had at one point, so mcmahon gave him kurt angle :D

i wonder what the new ecw title will look like, im glade cenas bling bling gay ass belt is gone, it looked goofie and was a disrespect to the history of the title.

anyone know what channel it will be on in canada?

the sci fi channel is a smaller network owned by the same people that own USA, so it may not have been picked up by the channel that airs raw in canada, the plane is to move it to the USA network if it gets good ratings

Yeah...Having Kurt Angle and The Big Show definitely gives it credibility......It'll probably compete with TNA Wrestling.....another growing organization...I just wish the NWO would come back!!!!!!!!!! that was wrestling at its heyday!!!

Anyway I CAN'T WAIT to see ECW coming back. It's linked to WWE now so I don't expect it to go out of business. Never seen two organizations cross promoting into each other before when they have two seperate shows of two different companies.

ECW was my favorite brand of wrestling back when they were on t.v. and I will definitely be following it now that it is back. A lot of people have no idea how many wrestlers that they see in the WWE got their start in ECW. Not only that many people don't know how many gimmicks they started that were later used in WWE. No wrestlers were willing to go as far as ECW wrestlers would go to please the fans. They didn't have the greatest technicians in the ring, but if I wanted to see two guys grabbing and holding each other for 20 minutes than I would watch real wrestling. ECW was the best wrestling entertainment in town for your buck, glad to see they are back on the air.

they ARE apparentley gonna present a group of vampires as non jobbers, and i was against that... until i heard that gangrell would be a part of this group

i can guarentee NOT ONE ufc fighter could perform a triple jump moonsault and not break his neck,

if you think wrestling has to be an actual fight to be entertaining you are missing the point of professional wrestling,

ECW is guys who are willing to set themselves on fire, hit each other with items as hard as they can, and fall into piles of barbwire, ALL FOR THE FANS

Not really.. I DO expect it to get better. Its a slow start to a regrowing group and I don't expect it to be as great as it was this early, it needs time. But the ONS was one of the best PPV's I have ever seen. Sabu vs. Mysterio was classic. Why would anyone call it fake? sure some things are set to happen but the risks are real, and very true.

I would love to see someone who says its all fake step into an ECW ring and do the things they do and walk away without injury ;)

they had to establish the whole ECW thing, they wanted to sort of establish to people who never saw the product that weapons are allowed and the idea is that no holds (as in chokes) are barred,

haha good stuff, i have been watching wwf/wwe for about 15 years now and i have supported them trough the thick and thin. the wrestling wagon has been slowing down over the past few years but i think that it will pick up again and be bigger than it was in 99. i agree with starr when people who never really watched wrestling always go on about it being fake and foney get into a ring and wrestle for 20mins againsed jurt angle or the big show or even euguen and see if they can stand up at the end of the match. movies and soap oprahs are based on storylines and ppl dont make a big deal about that. wrestling is a foarm of entertainment like any tv show u see on tv or movie u pay to watch.

What you have in mind?

im gonna make sort of a remix, im gonna try to turn dennis stamps 'im not booked' segment into a rhyme

its been like 2 years since ive made a remix, i used to make all kinds of jigga remixes, out of about 37 i think only like 15 still exist, and only 2 (as far as i know) are in my posesion, maybee i burned a few more, but im pretty sure i only have 2 :(

and there were a few CDs that i left in other locations, which are probably destroyed by now, so 'stuck in this life forever' to necros poetry in the streets beat may be gone forever >:(
