the p4p list of boxing's -MOST ENTERTAINING-
late 80's
mike tyson - via landside (we all loved those demolitions/haemorroids/comatose)
early 90's
roy jones jr - the most succesful unorthodox fighter by that time (or maybe of all time)
late 90's
arturo gatti - 3 fight of the year honors
the new millenium's highlights were surprisingly from the smaller fighters
here are some familiar names -
marco antonio barrera
erik morales
manny pacquiao
wheew!!! these fighters are good for the sport (i thought prince hamed shall be one of them if he aint beaten badly by MAB)
im sure everyone will agree that these guys were boxings much hyped fighters
from their 122-130 days, they all gave us excitements during saturdays
and dont forget castillo-corrales too..
and also mosley-ODH 1
is floyd fun to watch? honestly, i never saw him in a war
maybe because hes a tactician and seldom fights toe-to-toe..
well, these were just my opinions.... :)

Re: the p4p list of boxing's -MOST ENTERTAINING-
I think Chris Eubank is by far the most entertaining boxer there's been, and not because of his boxing ;D although he did have the most unorthodox boxing style in the game..

I loved Eubank, he was my favourite fighter as a kid growing up, but some of his fights were boring. Post Watson he just used to run around the ring and try not to get hit.
In his later fights leading up to his first Collins defeat he seemed to pride himself on doing the absolute bare minimum to win. Almost as if he was on some kind of energy conservation programme. In that respect he was highly efficient as he barely got out of second gear for a good 50% of his fights.

Re: the p4p list of boxing's -MOST ENTERTAINING-
Felix Trinidad was consistently exciting in almost all his fights.
Don't forget Micky Ward too. ;)

I'm not talking about his boxing.

Well I'm with you there :P
He's the only boxer I know who has a collection of walking canes, wears a monacle and walks down the high street in horse riding gear. :D

Re: the p4p list of boxing's -MOST ENTERTAINING-
My vote goes to Roy Jones Jr.
-
Re: the p4p list of boxing's -MOST ENTERTAINING-
It was always exiting to try and guess what outfit hector camacho was going to wear to the ring he, he. But yo on the real tip I thought Meldrick Taylor was a very entertainig fighter. I also loved watching Delahoya back in the days.

Re: the p4p list of boxing's -MOST ENTERTAINING-
emmanuel burton (augustus) always in a good fight

this guy is an more known as an actor
im talking about ENTERTAINING BOXERS
theres no doubt that the division of MAB, EM, PAC is the most fun to watch
whenever they fought each other, it seems that there always a personal beef between all of them...
plus all of them have ranked in the top 10 p4p. :-\
-
Re: the p4p list of boxing's -MOST ENTERTAINING-
Roy jones for his speed and skill, its dazzling to watch
-
Re: the p4p list of boxing's -MOST ENTERTAINING-
Erik MoRALES:all his fights were wars and alot of them were classics too!!

i totally agree :)
he was a smart guy and has size and chin
his lack of punching power turnes a potential dominating fight into 12rounded wars that can be candidates for fight of the year honors

Yeah, that's 1` thing that confuses me about EM,why has he not ko'ed anyone for such a long time? Does he have brittle hands because I'm sure for the last couple of years at least,he has been wearing thise pillows?

you know what.. truth is EM is not really a power puncher...
these past years, the opponents he is up against is much heavier than the days
when he was a ko puncher.. since he moved up to 126, the only figher he koed was
guty espadas jr. (TKO)
EM is really a big guy and he knows he cant bulk up with muscles cuz his power wont affect anyone at higher than 135...
but thank God he isnt a ko artist...
we all witnessed those great battles he had been even if its against smaller opponents :'(

Re: the p4p list of boxing's -MOST ENTERTAINING-
I disagree bro,I wish he had more power which would have meant less wars BUT he would be fighting for longer! I mean we think of him as being slightly beat up etc but he is only 29!!!!

dude what gets beat up is not really the body but its actually the mind
and EM has one of the toughest mentality of all the boxers ive ever known
have you heard of his recent comments regarding the 3rd pacquiao fight and the previous fights?
he said that pac is in full condition on the 1st fight in which he beat pac
then he also said that pac is much more weaker on the 2nd fight in which he was badly beaten
which is ironic to what we all witnessed
see?
hes playin mind games
this is for his ego
and also to win back some confidence
that he can still beat pac because he have done it once, even if pac is in the best condition

yea keep in mind morales camp made pac wear the same type of gloves em wears( i wonder why) and pac was cut during the 6th or 5th round by a headbutt...pac gets accurate with his punches right about the 5th round...so it was really the cut that made pac lose the fight and not going to the body more...he hurt em the first round of the first fight with a body punch...in the second fight it was clear em wasn't going 12 with pac that night...em got push a cross the ring during the second round by pacs left straight...and pac continued to go to the body...AS LONG AS PAC GOES TO THE BODY em is not going to last 12 rounds...for the third fight pac wins agian by k.oing em...em has the toughest chin of all the mexican greats but pac is going to beat down his body again...
p4p most entertaining........MANNY "THE DESTROYER" PACQUAIO...all his fights are wars way back in his asia fights they go at it like pit bulls...only 27 years old he already has 40 plus wars...and now in america all his victory are by k.o's...not just one punch wonder type k.o's its a dominating performance destroying oppenents...gauranteed to get your money worth........

dude have you seen the interview with bob arum before the 1st fight?
it was just the first fight yet he was already talking a third fight...
the reporter was like "3rd fight?!? you mean youre sure this will be another trilogy?"
he was like "oh yeah, noh! i hope so... we all hope so ryt?"
many believe pac was really cheated
his promoter that time was murad muhammad
this guy had the 'agreement/contract' of fixing the 1st fight...
he was forced to wear a glove he isnt used to wear
they took 2 liters of blood on him 2 days before the weigh in
how the hell would they explain that?
pacs camp was silent about this because they already got the money when they sue his promoter
anyway, where talking about boxing not the monkey business involve in it ;)

Re: the p4p list of boxing's -MOST ENTERTAINING-
I think Tommy Hearns would be up there in the early and mid-80's?
George Foreman for the 70's
Cassius Clay was very entertaining in the 60's
Ray Robinson in the 50's
Joe Louis in the 40's

:coolclick: I agree 100% right now Manny's fights are the most exciting to watch, you'll always be on the edge of your seat waiting for that bomb to land. While he moves from side to side and goes to war with his opponents.
