Excellent list and I would like to say that Michael Owen will be on that list too in a few years time, when he breaks the England goal scoring record. The guy is THE most natural goalscorer on the planet.I'm trying to think who else to include, but you have pretty much included everyone I would have. Ummm, maybe Luis Figo?? He has been amazing,a personal fave of mine.Quote:

Good list!
I would maybe add the likes of Roy Keane, Raul, Cafu, Hugo Sanchez, Gheorghe Hagi, Ruud Gullit, George Weah, Carlos Valderrama, Hristo Stoichkov, Andriy Shevchenko, Peter Schmeichel, Alan Shearer, Rivaldo, Romario, Dennis Bergkamp, Alessandro Del Piero, Marcel Desailly + maybe a few more that I cannot think of right now...
Im glad you mentioned Romario, Lyles fucked now ;)
Maradona he made the team, the Team didnt make him. The best player Ive ever seen, wish He would have been English

Hard to know if what he did in the years leading up to 1998 was enough to rank him up with the best.
One guy who I just rememberd and who I left off my list was Gianfranco Zola! He was a master! Almost Maradona-esque dribbling skills and an awesome finisher too.
I think Zola was amazing!! I remember a back heel goal from a conrner as a memorable goal!!
Gabriel Batistuta is the best finisher I've ever seen awesome striker
Yeh, I'd say Van Basten & Batistuta best finishersQuote:

The goal he scored against Leverkusen in the 2001/2002 Champions League final is one of the best goals I have ever seen. Full volley, from a nightmare angle on his 'weaker' foot from just outside the box... unbelievable.
Roberto Baggio?Quote:

Zizou was an artist, watching him play at his peak was a pleasure. He could turn the game single handedly.Roberto Baggio is 1 of my faves too, what did the Italians call him?The divine Ponytail! Even towards the end of his career,at Brescia,he was still pulling the strings!! I think he was a brilliant player for a long long period of time!
ZZ won every major championship he played for, that says enough
I just met the niece of Gary Lineker when I was buying a England jacket the other day.
she introduced herself as the niece of Gary Lineker so I never got her name.
