Seriously, Tony who?

Don't get me wrong, I think that Floyd should fight Tony. But honestly, he should only fight for the money not because Tony deserves a shot. I've never seen a fighter become so "feared" by never actually beating anybody, Tony has proved me wrong. This guy went from a decent boxer with a couple of decent low-tier wins and a minor belt @ 147, to being an unstoppable force that everyone is scared of. I'm hearing stories that Vargas, Tony, Baldomir, all ducked Tony. Gimme a F****** break. Do you think that Vargas would duck Tony @ 154? Hell no. The last time Tony fought at 154, he got cut and ate up. People aren't fighting him because they are scared, they aren't fighting him because WHO THE HELL IS TONY MARGARITO? Baldy isn't scared, he's just trying to milk this fluke title win for as much as he can before he loses the belt and goes back into obscurity. Notice that Baldy wanted to fight PBF right when he beat Judah, why? Because there was money involved in fighting PBF. No one is scared of Tony. Let's all be honest, let's break down Tony's pros and cons from what we have seen from him:

He is a stalking type of fighter. But hear me when I say this my fellow Saddoians, MARGARITO IS AVERAGE!!! Margarito isn't a southpaw, he's slow and flat footed, he doesn't setup his punches, he just throws a ton of them hoping to land. That will never work against PBF. For god sakes, he threw 610 punches against Santos and he only landed 173. Mind you, Santos is probably bigger and slower target than Tony is. How the hell is he gonna land on PBF? Hatton is 5 inches shorter and much smaller than Tony but he has almost a 5x better chance to beat PBF than Tony does, because he will grapple Floyd and take away some of Floyd's ability to use his superior feignts and footwork. Tony doesn't do that shit. Something is wrong with this entire equation. Why is Tony so feared? The only thing people fear is ruining their careers because they gave some average fighter a shot and they got luckily caught by a fighter who only had a puncher's chance to begin with. This is boxing, on any night, anything can happen. So I don't fault PBF for taking his time and making a decision. I think he has to be a fool not to take the fight because it's easy money.

This is what happens when Floyd and Tony fight:

Floyd moves in and out with the jab to the stomach and head. Floyd feignts and Tony is confused because Floyd isn't there. Tony stalks Floyd but every time Tony sets up to throw Floyd lands right hand leads and backs away. Tony gets Floyd up against the ropes and tries to land hard shots to Floyd's body, but Floyd's shell defense on the ropes allows him to effectively block shots while landing counterpunches. Floyd dances around the ring with Tony trying to figure out how to land more than one punch on Floyd. Rinse and repeat for 12 rounds. This fight will be a wipeout and Floyd should win. If Margarito somehow gets lucky and wins it will be KO from a lucky punch and Floyd would have won every single round up to that point. Look saying Tony doesn't have a chance is crazy. I agree with almost everything you said, the difference is I don't even want to see Floyd take the fight... I think Mosley would give him the toughest fight even at this point, considering the other 2 big options are Hatton and Margarito at welter... Mosley would probably beat either of the 2, and could give Floyd a tougher test imo, plus Floyd and DLH would get more out of their fight. It's funny how everyone is talking about how deep and strong the welterweight division is, and I agree completely... But I think Floyd is just head and shoulders above everybody, and people hate on him to make it seem otherwise.. IMO, the 2 people who would have the best chance to beat him at welter are the same guys who ruled the division 5 years ago...MOsley and more likely DLH. Margarito or Hatton would have almost no chance I could see.

Ok,you're post has some decent points but let me ask you this.....who is Brusseles?Why fight Gatti,Sharmba,Zab all coming off losses?Also,your points have BIG gaping holes......Why did Shane Mosley not come back to 147 after the Vargas fight:He admitted he WAS NOT ready for Tony openly and alot of you probably read the interview.And yet again,you delude yourself when you say Vargas would not fight him,Antonio called him out after the 6 heads fight and had a shirt with his name on it and Mayorga's!!!! Also(and I posted this myself)Baldomir sparred with Margarito and said he would not fight him!! The Santos fight could easily have gone to Tony too so a loss on cuts means he got eaten up....yeah....

These aren't made up. Anybody can look at any of his fights and see this. Tony only looks good when opponents are standing in front of him and he can trade with people. He is a stalking type of fighter. But hear me when I say this my fellow Saddoians, MARGARITO IS AVERAGE!!! Margarito isn't a southpaw, he's slow and flat footed, he doesn't setup his punches, he just throws a ton of them hoping to land. That will never work against PBF. For god sakes, he threw 610 punches against Santos and he only landed 173. Mind you, Santos is probably bigger and slower target than Tony is. How the hell is he gonna land on PBF? Hatton is 5 inches shorter and much smaller than Tony but he has almost a 5x better chance to beat PBF than Tony does, because he will grapple Floyd and take away some of Floyd's ability to use his superior feignts and footwork. Tony doesn't do that S***. Something is wrong with this entire equation. Why is Tony so feared? The only thing people fear is ruining their careers because they gave some average fighter a shot and they got luckily caught by a fighter who only had a puncher's chance to begin with. This is boxing, on any night, anything can happen. So I don't fault PBF for taking his time and making a decision. I think he has to be a fool not to take the fight because it's easy money.

Floyd moves in and out with the jab to the stomach and head. Floyd feignts and Tony is confused because Floyd isn't there. Tony stalks Floyd but every time Tony sets up to throw Floyd lands right hand leads and backs away. Tony gets Floyd up against the ropes and tries to land hard shots to Floyd's body, but Floyd's shell defense on the ropes allows him to effectively block shots while landing counterpunches. Floyd dances around the ring with Tony trying to figure out how to land more than one punch on Floyd. Rinse and repeat for 12 rounds. This fight will be a wipeout and Floyd should win. If Margarito somehow gets lucky and wins it will be KO from a lucky punch and Floyd would have won every single round up to that point. Look saying Tony doesn't have a chance is crazy. Every boxer has a chance to win on any given night. But this matchup isn't even a close matchup. There is no one thing that Margarito does better than PBF except throw more ineffective punches and stand taller. The boxing public has a tendency to always find some decent boxer like Tony and blow up. Notice how nobody mentioned Tony's name until PBF came to 147. Nobody mentioned Tony when Judah was king at 147. People are always trying to discredit great fighters and Tony was just a way for the boxing media to take shots at PBF who many felt had left too much unfinished business at 140 to move up to 147. All your points are valid, its true, Tony is not in PBF's league, he is not as gifted , fast, smart , rich , pretty, or slick. but like you said, this is boxing anything can happen. and if anything can happen why would it be so bad that a slow, uncoordinated , cut proned, blue collar fighter,a nobody beat someone like PBF. The Game, seriously... Do you even watch the screen when you see Margarito fight, I think you are the one who is deluded... It's foolish that I said Judah hits harder "punch for punch"??? That's what I said, and it's completely true.. Margarito is a volume puncher, Judah has alot of pop in his left hand, plus he is actually very talented offensively with his footwork, and can set up very good punches, that do real damage when he lands a good shot, and he did several on PBF who took them fine, that was my point, Judah landed much better punches on Floyd than Margarito would be able to land, because he is wayyyyyy to slow, and it still didn't hurt him.. Remember speed is power too.. Also, Mosley didn't say anything about Margarito after the Vargas fight that was earlier when he fought Estrada I think, and he was coming off of 2 losses to Winky Wright and Vernon Forrest, both fighters leagues ahead of Margarito who would/ would have whipped his ass so bad it's not even funny.. After the Vargas fight Mosley called out Mayweather, actually.. And he may do again if he beats Vargas, which he may as well because Im almost certain Mosley could beat Tony right now, and definetly give Floyd more trouble imo.. You defend Margarito well man, and for the most part are right. He did NOT get eaten up by Daniel Santos, I saw the fight. It was close and Margarito was knocked down I believe, but he should have won on the scorecards still. Margarito is a dedicated, tuff, hard punching, veteran champion. When and if he fights PBF, his downfall could be speed, that might be his biggest flaw. He does seem kinda of slow. I also think he is being a little overrated, but not too much. He is a very big 147 lber, huge in fact. And he is calm and will wait for his opportunity to hurt Floyd if they fight. He is a real threat to Floyd, and at this stage nobody is the undisputed champ until they defeat him. I wanted Zab to fight him myself, so he was bein talked about back then by hardcore fans too.

Thanks Hulk and yeah,I try to defend Tony without over rating him because I admit,he has not fought any A grade fighters yet whether it be through his own fault or not.Tony wasn't knocked down in the Santos fight,Daniel was and the ref did not count it. He went down from a body shot.I don't think he is super slow,but I admit,he needs to be a tad faster to catch Floyd but JLC is not that fast and he gave PBF a close match.What I'm saying is,I want to see this fight for 2 reasons:

Yeah Zab is faster but does not mean Tony won't land. I refer to the JLC fight,Castillo does not have great hand speed,far from it but he caught Floyd well.

I don't mind what you are saying in that maybe Tony should beat up on someone else before PBF but Zab has ducked Margarito plenty of times. Tony has called him out a few times and got nothing and remember Zab(somehow or another)was unified champ but he elected not to go after Tony's belt!!! I woudn't mind Tony fighting Collazo but he only wants Hatton,who else is there?

toni should be calling out ricky hatton--its an easy fight for toni as hatton would come in face first and be easy pickins for toni to give him a working over and bust him up for an easy kayo...............thats the fight he should be chasing----

If the shot at fighting Oscar is still there & Oscar keeps saying FLoyd is his going out fight...FLoyd won't fight anyone of consequence...not Hatton & especially not Margarito.
