Thompson shuts down Guinn!

Heavyweight Tony "The Tiger" Thompson (28-1, 17 KOs) derailed the comeback of Dominick Guinn (26-4-1, 18 KOs) with a one-sided twelve round decision Wednesday night at the HP Pavillion in San Jose, Calif. Thompson had a big round six and nearly stopped Guinn in the tenth with a barrage of unanswered punches. Scores were 119-109, 118-110, and 117-111. With the win, Thompson claims the WBC Continental Americas heavyweight title.

Theres not too many fighters i dont like or have respect for but Audley Harrison is the exception. The guy is no more than a mouth piece who talks a great game and does nothing to back it up. I've not usually got a bad word to say about any fighters but this guy really irritates me and I can't wait to see him KO'd and going and doing something that he would be good at...like painting ceilings!
I think Audley softened Guinn up :-X
if audley grows some balls and gets stamina up he could be ok

Yah know I can remember getting lots of flack for calling Harrison a piece of garbage whe he was undefeated, pointing out his flaws and those of his opponents, both here and at another site. Now I just sit back and watch the posts mount.

And Miles as hit the nail on the head. Coming off his Olympic win, he needed to show his heart and his guts in fights pretty early in his pro career, as he really didn't have the time at his age to build up a big run of wins, and by the time he was tested, and granted Danny Williams wasn't the toughest test he could have challenged, he had settled into fighting bums, and didn't have it in him to raise his game. Credit to him for his gold medal, and having a lot of potential, but sorry Audley, you just never tried it early enough, and youv'e paid the price.Quote:

i think if he'd gone with frank warren pretty early he would've had to fight better opposition instead of picking his own,he's the kind of person who needs a huge push to fight.then we would've known he was a fraud after 2 years instead of 6 ;D
