Shannon has skills but at 270 pounds he is just too big to maintain it over 12 rounds. On top of that he hasnt fought anybody in a long time...

I like Briggs but he is taking his time to step back up and there is possibly good reason for it....He would have a better chance at any of the other champs, but Wlad could be a very bad choice....

Saving boxing, huh. Tell him to avenge his losses to "The Great" Darroll Wilson, "The Immortal" Jameel Mccline and of course "The Boxing God" himself Sedreck Fields first.

Not this bloody era he will.

I Think Wlad should win this fight fairly easy. 4th R KO, I don’t like Briggs at 260-270 when he was in shape he was like 228 lbs. he would have to be at his best to beat Wlad and the best is behind him.. IMO

Briggs will go the way of Dodo Byrd. :beatup:

I know your big on Shannon and all and got him to fight at a couple of your shows but Mr. Goodson, you know he isn't the next big thing. He had stamina issues back when he was at 228 lbs...he was 269 when he fought last on your card. I don't think he beats anybody in the top 10.

I bet he is going to try to go in there and bum rush Wlad for a KO. I bet that he's banking on this. Emmanuel should be prepared for this approach and in turn I expect Wlad to KO Briggs by about the 8th or 9th round. I really don't see Shannon going any further than that.

Klitschko by TKO in later rounds.

If Briggs does'nt ko Wlad early.He will get picked off by Wlads jab and get stopped late on carnt see Briggs going the full 12rounds.

Man I watched his fights early in his career. He was fast for a heavyweight.The competition back then was fierce. i mean he really was strong and fast, but Koed by Darrol

I would rather see Samuel Peter get another chance at Wlad first but oh well. Shannon Briggs is a good fighter but he seems to get winded really early in fights.

If he can get in against Wlad and land some shots through out the fight he might have a chance. Wlad hasnt been known to have great stamina either. I think Wlad has the better boxing skills and this will give him the edge. Wlad after his fight with Peter seems to be have better game plans for his fights. I still dont believe in Wlad 100% he has the potential to be great, but has shown his weakness once to often.

The pickings are so slim with the heavies if Briggs can keep the fight close and make a good showing of himself he could get a crack at a different alphabelt in the next year. But it all depends on how this fight goes for him.

Judging by recent competition he is best focusing on his first opponent, Darrol Williams who has KO'd him before.

Wlad had no trouble with Jameel McCline (when Big Time was actually good) Briggs got the shit kicked out of him.

Shannon AT HIS BEST poses no threat to Wladimir Klitschko

outside of the heavyweight division, there is nothing wrong with boxing today.
there is SERIOUS talent all across the weight divisions.

plus......we get to see floyd mayweather in his prime, hopefully he NEVER goes past 154 (if he stays at 147 for the remainder of his career, i believe he goes out as an all time great)

hes that good 8)

Boxing is tearing it up in the lower weight classes. The main thing that I see wrong with the heavyweight division is that there is less discipline as far as the weight goes...every fat hill billie wants to be a heavyweight boxer & then every footballer that ruined his knees thinks that he can win a title.

I think its like that because of the lack of boxing ability in the heavyweight division. Outside of Wlad, Serguei Lyakhovich, and JFat there really isnt anybody with good boxing ability. It just seems like everytime I see some heavies go at it they are just trying to KO each other with one punch. Nobody really works the body and puts good combos together anymore. That is what I feel like is wrong with the heavies.

Agreed...exactly what I said & think...more or less.

But when were there ever tons of good heavies with good boxing ability at the same time?

It wasn't the 70's Ali, Terrell, Foster(lightheavy) could box but Foreman, Frazier, and Shavers couldn't!

It wasn't the 80's Tyson had good combos but would you ever tell him to "outbox" someone? Not that he wouldn't do it his style wasn't for outboxing it was for the KO.

Maybe the 90's was the best, Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield, Mercer, Golota all those guys could box pretty good
