Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
I will say this, if Judah could focus himself on conditioning and sticking to a gameplan. I truly believe that he could beat anybody from 140 to 147. Judah is just as talented athletically as Floyd. If he could just get a different trainer like Roach or somebody that would push him to be conditioned all 12 rounds and that would stress the importance of a gameplan, he would be UNSTOPPABLE!!! Even with that glass jaw. Does anybody else agree with me?
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
I think he would be better with a different trainer but it starts and ends with HEART, I don't think Judah has enough
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
He needs to visit the wizard of oz:
He will give him Courage...and a heart.
God given talent is only half the case with fighters...BALLS is what counts.

Even if the wizard gives him heart that heart won't help him when he get's hit on the glass chin

Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
2 things
he DOESNT have a glass jaw, i thought that was proven...
and THE MAN HAS NEVER QUIT!!!
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
Fully conditioned or not, the only thing unstoppable in a Judah bout is his opponent's straight right hand. Unstoppable? Please. Maybe if he ditched the cross block because he might be really fast, he may be really powerful, but he'll always be open for the straight right.

He may not have quit against Baldomir, but he let a little adversity turn him into a different fighter.
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
I thought it turned him into a smarter fighter?
Besides any boxer dealt with adversity becomes a different fighter, like Shane Mosley.
It's not smart if you get stunned to try to slug back and knock out your opponent.

Smarter fighter? Are you kidding me? No, he turned into a dumb, beatan fighter. He was dictating the pace of the fight up until the 7th round, from then on he was allowing Baldomir to push him back and Judah didn't even put up a fight. Baldomir was open, he was slow, and he was wide and loopy. Judah had oppurtunities to land and get out of there, but he was just allwing himself to get pushed back and his punch output went down, way down. It may not be smart to come back from almost being knocked out to try to KO your opponent, but it's definitely not smart to become a pushover.

Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
I'm talking smarter as in he didn't want to get hit again

Maybe but how long did that take him? I mean, 1 or 2 rounds off to recover is understandable...but 5? He choked. He always does the minute things get tough for him. Mayweather adjusted to Judah, and Judah failed to make the proper adjustmens himself. I mean the guy is an animal, but he doesn't have a head on him. He doesn't do the stuff in the fight that is required of him. I wish he would of stuck with Duva. With Duva I bet he is top 10 P4P.

Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
I seen a clip of Judah in trouble against Baldomir - jeez Zab nearly rugby-tackled him to the ground he was so desperate to clinch - it was terrible.
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
Quick question, has Zab ever fought back from adversity? ever been on the receiving end and come out on top?
Genuine question, I havent seen all his fights.
From what Ive seen he is a good on top fighter, he cant "bottom down" as they say.
He seems to lack the heart, mental toughness and belief that seperates the good from the great.

My segments exactly :coolclick:

Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
unless zab get lucky and lands a big one I dont think he will ever beat a top tier fighter, and will probably lose to certain just good fighters.
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
He needs someone like Rooney who emphasises head movement, combination punching and trains his fighters hard whith tons of sparring, I believe judah would go with him from the link with tyson, he obviously likes Mike so knows Rooney is class

Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
Weak chin
No heart
No discliplined
Panics when hit
Easily frustrated
Sad excuse for a corner
Showboats to much
The only thing unstoppable for Judah is future losses. He has to many negatives against him to ever be champion again

Simple
Whenever he's been knocked down or in trouble he came back and knocked the guy down or out(with the excepttion of Tszyu and Baldomir) Zab's downfall started when he hired his father as his trainer. And if Zab didn't have heart Baldomir would have stopped him, Floyd would have stopped him, and he wouldn't have risen so quickly from the Tszyu knockdown ;)

Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
"Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE?"
No. Totally disagree.
Here's the thing about Judah...I think he's a super talented boxer...I just think that he's a prick & also he's proven that he's not championship caliber nor is he worthy to be a belt holder.
I also think that the kid is just a continous black eye on the sport.
Stop & look at Judah...he looks great against nobodies...but then again...if you are a top contender...then you will.
When matched skill for skill against a boxer that has an array of punches & mounds of power...he falls apart & either get's his ass handed to him or he turns into a 12 year old in a grown man's body. Kostya stomped him & he acted a fool to Nady. Floyd was wearing his ass out & he goes dirty. He loses, clearly, to Baldomir & acts like a cross between Emanuel Augustus & a thug that just got his colors.
What else is it gonna take for people to recognize that Judah has had way too many opportunities to make a statement & the only one he makes is that he's an idiot.
True waste of talent.

Well yes, he did against Mickey Ward. Can't remember for sure I think it was the 9th round, Ward landed his trademark left to the body and had Judah backpedalling for basically the whole round. Then the next he round he completely took over and dominated Ward the rest of the way. I can see why people thought he was going to be unstoppable when he was unbeaten, that's for sure. And he has the talent to win against anyone at 140 to 147 even now, but he would probably lose to several guys out there.
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
Also...let me say this...Judah shows shades of greatness...but they get blurred along with way.
Watch him fight. If he's in with bottom feeders he can work it out well...it's decieving.
Toss him in with talent & he platues by the middle of the fight. He did it with Spinks & Floyd of late in obvious fashion.
I hate to be so cut & dry about the kid...but honestly...I can say that if there is one fighter & person I actually hate for boxing...it's him...& JFAT. ;D
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
he wont ever be champion again
it aint even about talent or heart
its about him not wanting it enough
it just shows in his most difficult fights
thats he really hasnt got the will to give it al hes got
if its going his way and the fight feels easy
he can be a real good fighter
but that doesnt really count
he should just retire and follow his heart
cause it cant be in boxing

What about beating Spinks?
I think you truly all belittle Judah. Because he's never lost to a bum. Baldomir was a top contender and he was number one. Tszyu is a hall of fame fighter. He came back and beat Cory Spinks, and Floyd Mayweather is the number 1 pound for pound guy. So I don't understand how you can act like Judah is some sort of bum when you consider who he's lost to.
Tsyzyu(didn't want a rematch)
Mayweather
Baldomir(didn't want a rematch)
Spinks(got a rematch and it was avenged)
So I see the logic there. Anyone can say what a boxer will and can do in an instance but when you fight the best it's going to happen to you no matter who you are. Give Judah what little credit you can and stop acting like all he loses to are bums.
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
First and foremost Judah cant concentrate that long!
;D

I never said that he loses to bums...I said that he beats on a bunch of bums.
Spinks being the exception ofcourse...but I don't think he's all that either.
Also...let's be honest...you won't see any logic regarding Judah anymore than I will. Haters & Lovers are two different things...but they feel the respective emotions just as strongly.
Trust me...no need for a rematch against Kostya or Mayweather. Baldomir was smart not to take a rematch...but Judah clearly was beaten there also. Spinks win over Judah showed Judah's stupidity once again...but it's a plus that Zab got the rematch and...YES...avenged it.
Let's just face the facts that Judah's all good in the neighborhood...but he just don't walk the streets correctly.

I don't think anyone disagrees that Judah doesn't box to his potential.
The key word in all of the above is "if."
One could say the opposite and instead use the word "since" and describe actual fact, instead of hypotheticals.
Since Judah doesn't focus, since Judah doesn't have the heart of a finisher - we'll never know how good he could have been.
Certainly looks like he could be better than he is. But he isn't.
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
I think he was focused against Mayweather its just PBF adapted and beat him.
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
Focused and Conditioned he would be very very very tough for anyone to be. About being unstoppable i would doubt that, anyone with a glass jaw will now and then get caught by a big shot and be KO'd. He could be a very good champion but being the greatest in his era i doubt.

CLEARLY?
only one judge had it by more then 2 points
and he beat the shit out of mayweather for 5 rounds, who else has done that?
-
Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
Isn't Mayweather alot naturally smaller than Judah? Wasn't it Judah who was the champion. Did Mayweather not come and take his (paper) belt? Judah's a joke.

Re: Judah focused AND conditioned for 12 rounds = UNSTOPPABLE
Thing is you are all recognizing his potential. But even where Judah has faltered, he has STILL accomplished more then you give him credit for by belittling the opponents he beat.
