Watching their second fight right now. I was really excited for the second fight but never really broke it down technically. Doin that for the 3rd fight. Can't wait for this one. One of the few PPVs I'll be ordering this year. Come to think of it, the last PPV I ordered was their second fight.

It was a punch to the top of the head that floored him against Pac . He was almsot down early on too but held onto the rope to regain his balance . His chin has always been pretty reliable so if he is expecting a war off Manny he'l meet fire with fire .

who ever wins this should get a shot at a title its taking the piss they are both of world class caliber so they should fight for a world title to make the 3rd fight just a little hotter than the other two.

True,I worry too,can he withstand the inevitable body attack from Pacman.

I don't think it would make the fight that much bigger at all. I don't think anyone gives a shat,belt or not,and as pained as I am to say it,Pac is by far and away the best in the division.Look@ Baldomir and Gatti for exapmple,I don't think the belts have made that fight bigger at all,in fact,people forget that Baldomir is the champ@147!!!

i see where you coming from about the baldomir thing but you could say the same thing about floyd and ricky i suppouse. ricky has done shat all at welterweight he should go back down imo i cant see him dominating it.but baldomir beat zab judah who was recongised as a unfiedchamp so i think that does give him an edge and imo i do class him as a champ because he beat the champ at 147!. but back to manny i think to prove that he is the top man (which we know he is) he should get the titles as well as winning the fight imo.

The question is what excuses Morales will make in their 3rd encounter with the Pacman...last time we knew he's tired because of fighting too many successive wars in the ring with great fighters & after the fight he said to Larry Merchant that he want to relax, have a vocation & time with his family. Now if he will lost again dominantly, I think Morales will say "I'm just tired because of a long vocation before my fight"...If Morales said before " My legs!" the last time around...now in the 3rd fight with Pac I think He will say "My hands!"...:o) Morales is such a great fighter with lots of pride but fighting again the Monster with Storm hands speed & power is a big SUICIDE...!

Morales didn't look good at all every time he got clocked, it looked to me like hes all worn out. He may have had one of the best chins but now its shot

well emanuel steward said one of the worst things u can do to a boxers body is massage it right before or during a fight and EM's corner was massaging his legs hahahaha. steward did not like this at all cuz it goes back to when he trained the motor city cobra and was pissed to learn that one of tommy's entourage was massaging him like 10min before stepping into the ring with haggler!

Hi pal, how's it been? I thought you were a staunch Erik defender. I for one, though being a Pacman fan, don't count Erik out yet. In the first place, I don't believe in that "being into too much battle" line sung by many boxing 'experts.' Strangely I didn't here much of that when 'the terribleee' was winning. It's only when they predicted his win but turned otherwise that they started singing that different tune. Even if it were true, just get some good rest and he should be okay, as he has been doing. I think the more important factor is the motivation: does he still have that fire in his heart and guts to fight; is he really aching for a sweet revenge? Or, is he just aiming for his last big paycheck? So cheer up, who knows, there might be an upset (do they call it that?), although definitely unlikely. I, for one, am not counting 'the terribleee' out, at least not yet, even though that scares me a bit.

Hey bro,I have to disagree with you there.Morales has been in through too many wars and I b elieve thi showed in the last fight with Pac when his legs went. He was battle worn and remember,all that weight jumping/draining.It was bound to catch up on him at some point. However,I'd be MASSIVELY dissappointed if he just came for the paycheck and I doubt that to be true,Erik is a warrior and I don't think that is his mentality.

I doubt Erik would come for the paycheck either but you do have to question why he would take this fight 1st instead of a warm up which would give him a better chance .

Its my opinion that Erik is washed up and finished but it could be that he was having hard fights back to back and now he is well rested . This break could have revitalised him and with Manny being inconsistant I see another close fight

Okay, I won't argue with you about that point too much but IMO, I think his losing his legs in the last fight was due to his difficulty in making his weight than anything else. Still, you should be happy because, believe me, he ain't over yet, especially if you say he still has the motivation. I think it's the motivations that counts, as they say: "if there's a will, there's a way."

The reason why I'm inclined to believe that Erik may be in this fight for his last big paycheck is that I've learned that he is into a boxing promotions business - promoting some boxing events - so naturally, this question cropped up in my mind: is he in for a new career?

Yep,that's me! I have read interviews with Morales and he gives Pac alot of credit for the second fight,it's unusual to hear EM do that!! I mean when Raheem beat him,he said Raheem was just running all night and would not stand and fight!!!
