Sorry I can't copy and paste boxingtalk and I ain't writing all that out bit its a humourous read.
I especially like Ishe saying Maragrito would be a tune up fight for him and that Margarito needs to fight a 'name' opponent like him.
Ishe is a talented fighter no question, just a shame he's such an unlikeble Kunt.

I thought it was pretty funny when he said he'd get 35,000 buys with his family. Hah. Thats a kick. I don't know much about Ishe I think he's just trying to provoke. You know, like its only business. Get the big fight big money yada yada yada. I doubt he's like that around regular people.

I think he'd beat Margarito, he should still be underfeated, his was robbed in the contender. Before entering the show Smith was a fast rising prospect, but the show set him back big time. I still think he's got the talent to go a long way. Margarito would be the fast track back to the big time for Ishe.

Good points galaxy. I think Ishe could pull off an upset too, he is a super slick boxer, by far the best on last seasons Contender. Even from the biased edited footage he looked like he got robbed against Mora.
He just annoys the hell out of me because he is so mouthy.

You mentioned that Mosely also struggled with Estrada. Thats kind of the whole point, Mosely AND Cintron struggled with Estrada. Ishe Smith handled him easily. The kid's got talent.

What people say don't mean sh*t, people always talk up someone, it's what they do that really counts. Clottey ain't fought no one special since the Baldomir fight & lets remember he still lost. I dis-agree that Mosley struggled with Estrada... he one every round IMO. You mentioned Rivera he ain't no champ he's a belt holder. Smith gave Estrada his 1st loss, handled Bailey easily, & should have won the contender without all the politics. I'm not saying Quintana & Collazo or Clottey are bad in fact the total opposite, I'm just saying if your gonna mention these fallas, that Ishe is in the same league. At least Sugar Shay has some name value.

Margarito beating Rivera is all that counts, whether he does it sooner or later than Zab is irrelevant, you know that Starr, it makes no difference.
Margarito has shot himself in the foot giving himself this billing of 'Most feared' the queue is getting longer and they wont go away, sooner or later he is going to have to put up.

You should know that how one fighter performs against another don't mean sh*t, I see what your trying to say but I see Rivera sticking around awhile. Margarito needs to fight guys like Collazo, Quintana & the like & keep trying to prove what he's saying untiul his opportunity comes along. Taking a fight like Rivera is going to do nothing to show everyone that he's at the level he thinks he is

Who cares about mandatories, that's one of the biggests problems in the game... Clottey would be good to see, but Quintana is who I'd like to see him fight!

Well in defense of Star it would be kind of relevant, seeing as Margarito is supposed to be a monster puncher who would blow Baldomir out of the water and eat up Mayweather.
If he fails to get rid of Riveria as easily as Zab did it WILL reflect badly on him.
If Margarito was a boxer then I'd agree with you, but he is not, he's a puncher so a big early win is important for him to maintain his reputation.
Will you all still be saying he's the baddest man on the planet if he labours to a 12 rounds decision, I think not?
That said, I'm fairly sure he will blow this bum away inside 4 rounds aynways :P

I actually think this would be an interesting fight. THe only reason Ishe lost to Mora was because of that 5 round contender deal. Ishe has very solid skills and more technical than Margarito. Ishe doesnt have a high KO ratio but he has power...and I think with margarito rushing him he's going to have to find and use that power to keep Margarito off. Ishe has trained and sparred with some of the tops, Mosley is the one that comes to mind and everyone was fairly impressed with how he beat vargas. I think Ishe seems like a very determined fighter and he is controlled...I want to see him get in the ring with someone who will test him.
And who knows what the hell margarito wants...makes a name for himself calling out PBF and now he wants to know how Smith has the nerve to call him out LOL.

If Margarito is on par with Mayweather enough to make the fans think he'd win then Rivera should be no problem. He was blown away by a glass chin nobody remember ::**
Anyway I agree. If Margarito can't get rid of Rivera with his slugging style and supposed power then he may not be that big a deal.

Thanks, already cc you today but another tomorrow. I think Ishe is a green in a fight with Margarito.. I've seen Ishe fight 3 times and in his last I can see he's becoming better and better in each fight. I think he's really good and am impressed with his ability but he's still got a bit of room to get better...just cause he hasnt seen a lot yet.
I think he'd bring it all against Margarito though and he wouldn't back down. Ishe is technical and doesnt really go for the KO but last time I saw Ishe his physique was that of a prime RJJ and it looks like he packs muscle. He is a counterpuncher and imo a very capable one..but the thing is Margarito is like dynamite right now and next fight I think he's going to explode :jabbing:
As for Smith vs Quintana...thats tough..Ive only see Quintana in one fight and that was vs Julio. I think he looks more impressive then Smith at this point but he's also got a few more fights under his belt. Ishe weould be able to outpoint Quintana if the fight went the distance, but I dont know anything about Ishe's chin so if Quintana was to beat Ishe Id say it would have to be via ko.
And I think Ishe would give margarito a better fight then Quintana cause Ishe and Margaritos styles are so different but I think Ishe can get down and win a fight inside if he needs too. At this point I would still say Margarito would beat either of them...I also think Margarito isnt going to want to take on any prosects that wont make a name for him if he wins and can cause big harm is he loses. Hmm...sounds like what PBF was doing to Margarito.

I've followed Quintana for a while, but really started to take notice when he beat that Suleymanoglu dude, but I think Ishe would win a decision over him.
