joe frazier--lost only 2 ali and foreman--but kicked ali's ass 1st time around--any other heavyweight thoughout time would have lost to those 2.
larry holmes--a legend--however came just after ali--kinda seemed just like a carbon copy of ali
--also does not come into pro boxing until ali, foreman, and frazier or outta the picture--but calims 2 b the greatest

IMO alot of americans underrate Lennox hardcore... Ike Ibeabuchi is both underrated and overrated depending on who rates him. I think Chris Byrd is underrated considering how well he did against people naturally so much bigger.
The problem with Norton is that Holmes cried a Bicep injury for their fight. And Norton then goes and gets flattened against Shavers :(, before the scheduled Big Black Cloud rematch...Quote:

i definately agree with whoever says liston, and norton to an extent, but iwht liston if it had not been for ali he could have been regarded as bigger then he is.
i dont think ezzard charles is given the credit he deserves. he dominated the division for 2 years after the retirement of louis being a busy champion. although a better light heavy he was a respected heavy
I've always felt that Jack Johnson doesn't get enough credit.
I disagree with the 90's pick here, Morrison was not underated, more overated because of his role in Rocky (remember when he hit the guy with the uppercut and he flipped) that exposure made him more popular than he should have been.Quote:

Most underrated HW? I agree with Ezzard Charles. He never gets a look in on top HWs of all time. L Lewis is among the most overrated HWs of all time. Guys I know talk about him "Being up with Ali." Please. An apology to all the Lewis fans, but he was no Great.
yeh i dont believe he was a great either but he has some legacy to alot of boxing fans and because he was a very smart man and quite at the top and never came back that secures it and i respect him for that, it pains me to see fighters blemish theyr legacy's by staying too long i.e tyson,jones jr,ali to an extent. but i'll give some cred to lennox...the canadian olympian who claimed on england.. lol tool .
