Honestly...I really really liked Paz & respected him quite a lot back in his day.
I loved his fight against Jones...honestly...he showed a lot of heart...then again...Jones showed him how to fist it through the top of his noggin...or outta his pooper...which ever you choose...
The first visual pic is a bit easier on the eyes though.
Impressive about that...Jones was one of only 3 men in 60 fights that TKO'd Paz.
The guy was pretty fab...no shat.
thanx, wack.... My sentiments. That Jones fight... Would like to forget it but it, in a way, was a great fight for vinny... Showed alot. Remember Roseblatt in the 4th....HEHEHEHEHEHE.... Vinny got owned the whole fight and showed the great equiizer. :o ;D
The Pazmanian Devil was a trip no doubt. Paz had some really entertaining fights particularly his win over then unbeaten Gilbert Dele 29-0 , Very impressive 12th R stoppage.
In his fight against RJJ he moved to much and didn't fight enough.
Watch the fight carefully.
He is just getting popped with the jab and waiting and moving.
No skill in that fight.
Wanna fight in the ring, got to take the fight to the opponant.
He didn't!
:sitr:
Paz was a ballsy tuff little sucker. Could be a real jerk and a bully at times too though. I've seen about 5 of his fights, but the one I really wanna see is his first fight with Duran. I hear Duran got screwed and actually beat him.
My favorite Paz fight of all time was when he beat Gilbert Dele for the title in Providence on ESPN. I was pounding the beers in my family room while the rest of the house was asleep. I was yelling at the tv when the fight got stopped. My wife came downstairs and told me to STFU. I slept on the couch, but it was worth it.
LOL. yeah that my favorite fight Paz fight as well.Quote:

Then why didn't he throw many punches against RJJ? Only fight I've seen of
him. Maybe he had a bad night that night. Seems to me he is emotional
and over-hyped.
Ali was ballsy. Naz was ballsy. Paz ballsy? I don't fink so!
:o
Naz? As in Naseem Hamed? No, he wasn't ballsy he was an overhyped punk, who got schooled by a guy smaller than him, then was ruined. Paz got schooled by the best damn fighter of the last decade, hell probably ever. And came back to win a title and defeat good fighters, not to mention coming back after his neck injury.Quote:

And I am willing to bet some of them hit hard.
Come on, thats guts. No defence against hard hitters?
Who does that in the feather weight division?
Maybe his a punk, i dunno, but he did fight in a ballsy manner.
:-X
i loved the haugen fights. its a shame Paz didnt have much power. It was Pazienza who got my wife interested in watching boxing, who broke the same vertibrate in her neck. She was just amazed at him being able to box after that.
I'll go far enough to say i agree with this.Quote:

:dummespost:
Ok Paz had some balls, I personally think its stupid fighting
after a recovery from a broken neck.
I'm fair, I gave him that.
not so stupid considering he fought with some great fights and fighters and made a lot of money now isit? and it all ended well for him which is good. i dont like him but i wouldnt have wished he got injured again and thank god he didnt.
Watching reruns of Vinny's fights on ESPN classic lately, I just wonder what happened to his big movie deal? ??? The guy legally changed his name to Vinny Paz to help his transition into hollywood. But all I ever remember him doing was guest starring once on that crappy Police Academy the series show back in 99 or so.
ouch guest starring in a police academy series??? now thats up there with doing stunt work on BLOSSOM ;DQuote:
