I see Duran dominating this fight but I don't see a KO. Everytime I thought Oscar would get knocked out (Trinidad, Mosley, Vargas, Quartey) he escaped. I see Duran taken the fight too him all night.

Duran is boxer/puncher...
Oscar is to quick on his feet and with his hands...
He would of done to Duran what he did to Trinidad and won.
Remember Duran Vs Leonard I, thats what would happen.
DURAN WINS EASY

(Oh yea Tito won the fight)
You realize Duran won the first fight with Leonard........Quote:

Yup have to give you a coolclick for that one. I completely agree Duran would smoke De La Hoya, although I'm not quite sure thats what you meant ;) :PQuote:

Duran would be to much for DLH. Take a wide decision.
My favourite boxer ever "hands of stone" would destroy De La Hoya.
De La Hoya beats Duran on footwork and that is it, Duran is one of the greatest all time, De La Hoyas good but not good enough.
Duran is not one of my favorite fighter's but I couldn't have sais it betterQuote:

hmm how about the B-HOP liver suprise? did u see that one coming? no escaping that one huh? hahahaQuote:

Leonard & Duran would defeat DLH, remeber these guys use to fight 15 rounders. Duran would just be to intense & walk down DLH, while Leonard would put a clinic on him.
im not taking durans victory from beating leonard but he only won because duran said he fought like pussie and leonard wanted to prove he could stand hes ground
147 is Oscar's best weight, 135 is Duran's, so it would be very interesting. Stiil have to go with Duran tho.
I think ODL is alot stronger than Leonard, and a little more technically sound just not as gifted... HIs jab is very heavy, and same with his left hook... I think he would have a given the naturally smaller Duran a good fight, but lose in the end because Duran is... well Duran.
In his prime Duran chases both Leonard and Oscar out of the ring.
Duran was old and on his way downhill when he fought Leonard and he still beat him the first time. The second time Leonard boxed and ran, and did an excellent job of it, which of course he had a right to do and is legitimate boxing. He frustrated Duran with this tactic and his speed. I was disappointed that Duran quit, he was frustrated and disgusted because Leonard would not really engage and Duran was a Warrior. Leonard would never put him on the canvas or put the hurt on him like Duran did to him the first fight. Duran should have went the distance, regardless of the frustration and simply taken the loss honorably and not bowed out.
It would be a great fight. at 147 oscar clearly has the power and speed advantages plus he is more technically sound that duran. I would also favor duran to win but not in a blow out manner some people are making it to be plus oscar definetly has a chance of beating him as well.

147 was oscar's best weight class and he was a big puncher that weight and Oscar has a better chin that tito and Duran was never a big puncher above 135 his knockouts came from consistent pressure and wearing his opponents out, plus Tito would give him hell because duran wasn't impossible to hit and given that tito was a murderous puncher at 147 I would have to cite Hearns vs Duran. Duran is one of my favorite fighters and I believe he would beat both Tito and Oscar but on any given day they could beat duran as well.Quote:

agreed. I think de la hoya would outbox duran at 147. leonard went macho in the first fight to prove a point. look what happened in the rematch. at 147 de la hoys height and range keeps the shorter duran at bayQuote:

How many times has Duran been marked up - hardly ever, certainlly never in his prime.
The guy is a Legend and as I say would beat De La Hoya easier than some think.
it's obvious that your n*t hugging on Tito has made you delusional....ODLH won that fight no question......it is regularly debated on this forum......and for the record I think ODLH would outbox Duran all day long......Quote:

I have watched the fight 20 times I know what happened. And talk about delusional, ODH outbox Duran all night long, lay off the opium.Quote:

Let's see, how do I put this mildly...... oh yeah.
A prime Duran would kick the living shet out of the Golden Boy.
it woulda been a controversial split decision for oscar ...duran would land the harder shots but the taller delahoya would box slick and come on heavy w/ the flurrys
Come to think and the more i read some really ridiculous posts regarding this topic - I think this is a straight forward win for Duran -REMEMBER we are talking about a Prime DeLa Hoya v a prime Duran - with this in mind Duran would destroy DelaHoya - no question.
ODLH would dance  around Duran and win UD
Hard topic since both were better at lower weights....I pick DLH though more sound and unlike Leonard he would concentrate more on the business inside the ring...At lightweight Duran Murders him
is a prie duran gonna weigh 147??
prime delahoy vs 147 duran would win i'm sure
Duran was a welter when he gave a prime Leonard his first lost, so it would be pretty close, I personally feel he was at his best at lightweight. Either way Duran wipes the floor with DLH. I don't think there would have been a stoppage but DLH would have taken a beating!Quote:
