I like Wink but he's not a ppv fighter, and as good as Mayweather is neither is he. Why can't they all take a lesson from Roy and stick with non ppv HBO events?
??? Mayweather-Judah did pretty good numbers. So would plenty of other Mayweather fights.
im speaking in terms of excitement and how pumped up their actual fighting gets the fans, neither belongs on ppv
my opinion anyway
you might be right about Winky. But again, money talks and bullshit walks. Obviously, a lot of people were pumped up enough to spend $50 to see Mayweather-Judah. People's willingness to spend is the best measure of how "pumped up" they are to see someone fight, and of how much a fighter "belongs" on PPV.Quote:

yeah i have to agree it was pretty PIMP that Winky vs JT was on regular HBO as opposed to PPV.
and when I say JT i am speaking of the current middle weight champion: JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE :lickish:

The question is who will his opponent be?? I heard Castellijo!
:coolclick: for the info.Quote:

Anywho, I love Wright & all that...& while I think that he is truly worthy of PPV status...his style is not. Most boxing fans want knockouts & when I have had my chums over for fight nights...they are almost disgusted to have to chip in on a $49.95 card that doesn't come equipped with a knockout.
It's sad...but it's true.
Mayweather is PPV worthy my friends...sorry...but he is.
Wack, how can PBF be PPV worthy and WInky not? The JT fight was more exciting than PBF's last few fights and PBF doesn't do KO'S either! I don't think either is particularly PPV worthy as to us hardcore fans, they are artists, boxers in pure form but to the average fan,,they are boring fighters. The average fan wants to see a war,a thrill,a classic and these are not that type of fighter in my opinion.CC back...I'm off to bed ;D
Re-read my post oh dearest eager beaver of mine...Quote:

P4PKing,yeah,I find Floyd more exciting to watch than Winky. Sorry Wacko,I was half asleep but you still said PBF is PPV worthy and said he's not!!And thanks Mracho, you make some great points too. Have a cool click on me!
What are you talking about? 2/3 of Floyd's wins are KO/TKO (and 3 of the last 4).Quote:

I hate to side with someone else, Game, because your'e my bwoy...but I agree with shza & gotta :coolclick: him for hitting the nail on the head...just because certain people might not want to pay for Wright or Mayweather is beside the point, they are PPV worthy.Quote:

if you ask me i'd like the card to be winky-margarito at light middle, i mean its been offered and margarito can't be turnin down challenges else he'll be doin jus what hes accusing floyd of doing.
peace
Ok,let us see what numbers PBF does next then we ca talk if he is PPV worthy. The Zab fight was sold purely off the whole hip hop east v west image and the gatti fight, purely of gatti, let's see what Floyd Corey gets then I'll re up this thread.
Also Floyd Zab did 350,000 buys, that's "good" and that all those hip hop boys there, let's see how he does when the fight is based solely around him being the main event,no angle and no big support name.
All this talk about PPV worth this & that is nice an all but I want to know who Wright is gonna fight, I want him to rematch with Taylor but that ain't gonna happen yet so Castillejo would be nice. I'd also like to see him get in there with the winner of Abraham/ Miranda or Ouma. For the record I feel many of Floyds & Winkys future fights are PPV worthy it's just a matter of who their fighting.
