Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...
Cotto has said he would be interested in a December bout with Baldo but I think Oscar will push Mosley into the picture.

Re: Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...
Joseph Makaringe is the Interim Champ
c'mon.. I know some of you were wondering ;D
-
Re: Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...

Re: Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...
Who Hatton wants to fight? Who is he calling out? Cotto called Baldomir but he didn't mention Hatton
Baldo call Hatton and PBF. PBF well thats another story. Nobody has called out Cotto.
Again Who Hatton wants to fight? Anybody?

Re: Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...
I personally like to see Judah vs HAtton or Cotto. Hell Judah vs Collazo. HEaven Hatton vs Cotto
Dammit Mosley vs Baldo, Pbf, Margarito, Judah
Would Mosley kill Hatton or Cotto?

at 154 sugar shane crushes both of them (espically hatton, cuz of the obvious problems he had in his 147 debut)
same deal at 147 except hatton gets ktfo a couple rounds later (9-11) but a match up with cotto would be interesting (i didnt care for miguel so much at first, but hes changing his style and boxing a little more and hes got SERIOUS power at 140-147)

Re: Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...
It's time for Arum to put some fucking moeny on the line and get Margarito a shot at Baldi! That's the one I want to see the most,if not, then Cotto. Hatton won't fight him,he's going to 140.

cc dude, your right with Floyd going to 154 & Hatton dropping back to 140 Baldomir/ Margarito is the best fight left to make @ welter. Would mind seeing Cotto in there though!

Baldomir does not want to fight MArgarito, he has said so.. I think he would obviously take the fight if they offered him enough money though, or else he wouldn't have called out Floyd... But is Arum really willing to go out on a limb and pay Baldomir well for this fight?? It wouldn't really sell imo, and Margarito would win handily.

CC Margarito would beat on him and Baldo does show reluctancy when Tony's name is mentioned. I don't think Baldo's highest payday is thathigh so Arum won't have to dog too deep and Tony never gets much anyway! This fight needs to be made and it makes sense. If not, then I think it will be Cotto for sure. I think Margarito is going to fight Clottey which will be a good fight too.

WEll Baldo did just make over a million beating Gatti.. And I think its more a case of he wants as much money as he could possibly get, he know's his time is limited, and there's noone else who can bring him big money, that he could beat, imo. And yea apparently Baldomir was brought in to spar Margarito a few years back and that threw him off ever fight him.

Yessss, someone else knows too! I posted an article about that ages ago,and Tony beat on him in sparring and Baldo said that Tony was very very powerful! It deterred him! and you are correct about the money thing,I have heard rom various sources that Baldo wants $4million for his next fight so basically the title is up for sale!

Re: Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...
Well if the Mawyeather fight is off then how about give Zab Judah a rematch?
That would generate a lot of interest I would have thought, although I think Zab would dance rings around him if ever they met again.
Still apart from Mayweather, I think Zab is the biggest fight out there for Baldomir.
Hatton wont want it, Baldomir doesn't want Margarito, I don't see him fighting Mosely as I'd fancy Mosely to stay at 154 lb and Cotto won't fight him next fight.
Zab it is then :thinking2:
-
Re: Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...
Cotto has openly stated that he wants the biggest fights at 147 and mentioned Baldo's name although if I was Margarito and Arum got Cotto the fight and not me,I'd be off to King"
-
Re: Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...
This will all probably fall back to Arum being a big factor in all of the worthy fighters.
Margarito...not worth it.
Cotto...would he risk his new Golden Boy? Doubt it.
Judah...out for a year...right?
Hatton...dropping back down.
Not sure about the rest...but there will be plenty of excuses from Arum, IWO.
Baldomir is going to want the biggest money out there...because let's face it...he knows & we knows that he aint gonna last long against the cream of the crop.

Yea exactly, only I thought Judah was only out for a year in las vegas? They should do it somewhere else, but I doubt Baldomir would really want to do that, and I sure as hell don't want to see Judah back as the champ at 147 until some other journeyman KOs him.

Re: Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...
I find it funny when peeps say Judah deserves a shot, this man never done anything to get a shot in the first place, name me his bigs wins. He has lost 4 of his last 6 and peeps are still saying he deserves shots at Margarito etc. I totally disagree,I want him to work his way back up and pay his dues like others.
-
Re: Carlos Baldomir's next opponent is...
Baldomir is a guy who came out of no where...We never expected him to be the champ hell I don't know if he expected to be the champ.....But he is. He is a decent guy who fights hard and goes in to take care of business not be a showboat..I like the guy he reminds me of the old school fighters...I would love to see him fight Cotto...Cotto is overrated and has nothing but power in his favor....Baldomir can take a hell of a shot....I vote Baldomir/ Cotto next...Let Carlos rid us of another pretender....Now if he could just add some speed ???

ahahahaha,I was about to say great points but then I see Cotto over rated...how? He has a very very good resume,is young and all he has is power?! Watch some of this other fights, this guy can box,has good defence and has beaten boxers, punchers, olympians, old champs, future champs and hopefully will get the star name too.He ha a great jab and some decent lateral movement, good handspeed too. He needs head movement, and needs to work on his quiet rounds but other than that,he is a star and at will be a force at 147.

He probably doesn't deserve a shot at Baldomir or PBF again or anything, but I totally disagree that he doesn't deserve a shot at Margarito... NOt that it's even a matter of deserving... Margarito needs a big win, if he beat Judah, that would absolutely be it... Come on, Judah has better wins than Margarito and you know that. Spinks, Ward, and even Reggie Green or Cosme Rivera(lol) are all better or just as good as anyone Margarito has beaten. Besides the WBO title is not highly regarded at all, TOny didn't beat a champion to win it and hasn't defended against a top fighter before, Zab is a former undisputed champion .. And his last fight against Mayweather was hardly a bad showing, he was dominant early in the fight. Margarito vs Judah would be a perfect crossroads fight, and a very interesting match that would be huge for the winner.

Decent points but that's my point in case,Judah's best wins are on par with Margarito's,they are not better and he has got big shots, aquite a few of them! Naaa,I don't think he deserves a shot,he is one of the bona fida few who ducked Tony,he said he would fight Cintron-Tony winner,I saw it myself and then he changed his mind.Tony called him out soooo many times, and he still refused, now it is his time to wait. Margarito will fight Clottey, then Williams/Collazo/Quintana,maybe Bald, beat them all and call out the big boys. This is what will happen.

CC, agree completely. This would be a much bigger fight, money-wise, than any other Margarito fight besides Cotto too. (And there's no way they're going to match Cotto against someone that big this early in his 147 pound career).

:coolclick: agreed if anything Tony would want this fight with ZAB to see how he would match up to a speedy elusive fighter before he gets in with Mayweather
