Does anyone think he can continue? Would 160 or 168 be options. Does anyone care.

This thread will get more of a response on the main board.
*moved* ;)
i dunno its always a shame to see a good fighter lose so much, and you feel like he might quit, but i doubt that he'd quit without a nice win first! also he has a huge ego! so thats more reason to believe he wil carry on fighting, i kinda like the guy in some ways cos no matter how stupid some of the decisions he makes are you cant argue that he hasnt fought the best! its just he simply just picks the best, and styles make fights and he doesnt calculate reward over risk he just goes for it, and i respect him for that, but thats why hes become a punching bag for the best, see trinidad was a good fight and it showed you he could hang with the best and winky was a good win for him and a good choice, but oscar and mosely werent. he should have made smarter decisions then he wouldnt be in this situation.
Vargas looked a bit weight drained in the Mosley fight and his legs looked gone. he could be more effective at 160 but his chin may not hold up. I DO think that he could beat someone like Abraham.
Id fancy Abraham to knock him out.Quote:

I seriously believe Fernando needs to call it quits and enjoy time off with his wife and boys. He's been a finished fighter since the Trinidad fight and Mosley just made that much clearer.
i dont feel the trinidad fight should have finished him, because in all fairness tito is just better than him and it was an awesome fight that he did well in!Quote:

And the way he dealt was to lose all form and become a one dimensional fighter that goes for the KO instead of breaking his opponents downQuote:

His best days are behind him if he continues he will be the OLD addage you have to beat him to make it to the big time...He will not be the big time
Vargas got too good too early and lost his way, although he did terrific during his first loss, against Tito, if he hadn't took so many low blows maybe he would have won, but really I think he lost his will to train.
ner doubt it was the low blows, vargas hit low aswell though! and tito was ahead on points anyway.
but yeh i get what daxx is saying he'll be one of those guys whove passed theyr prime taking fights and getting beaten by nobody's who want a famous name on theyr record!
Agree with too many too soon/ To good to early...Vargas was thrown in with the big guys to quick...He handled it yes but it took most of what he had...They rushed him...Quote:

He needs to get a trainer and a corner that will work to his strengths
Hey bro welcome to the forum, my personl opinion is that he should hang em up. He'll never be at the elite level again. Just can't take the shots no more. I think his back problems have left him a shell of what he used to be. He could still toil away for a few more years as a gate keeper but I feel his days amoung the big boys are over & he should get out while he still has his marbles.Quote:
