WHATS THE FIRST FIGHT YOU EVER ATTENDED?

i guess i'll go first

Michael Nunn vs. Sumbu Kalambay at the Hilton in Las Vegas for the IBF middleweight belt.

the fight lasted a whole minute and a half before Nunn knocked him out in a bad way :P

ummm cant remember the first but my best was going to las vegas and watching bernard hopkins vs jermain taylor although the fight wasnt entertaining on televsion it sure was entertaining in the arena, the whole experinence was amasing 1 that i will never forget

i also went to calzaghe vs lacy and it was a brilliant night but nobody does it like the americans, they make it more colourful

Still looking to go to my first fight, it alway's seemed better to me to be in my living room with some chicken wings and a twelve pack of Natural Ice (Ghetto), than being in the back of an arena (up front is too expensive). Maybe I can go to one of the no-name fights and get drunk and flirt with some women while someone is getting knocked out in the ring.

I went to the brand new Wembley Arena to watch Hagler and Minter...

Sadly Minter came out with his

"No Black man is going to take my title"

remark, so you can imagine what type of people showed up...

The Arena was ruined and would need another six months refit to get right again; Hagler was darn lucky to escape from the ring with his life, let alone his newly won title and Harry Carpenter was 'bottled' :(

The first and greatest fight I'll ever see...

My 2 sisters who were just fuckin mean in general compounded with many years of tae kwon do, decided they were gonna fight over something or another don't remember what exactly. What I do remember was the confrentation started in the kitchen at the very front of the house, and ended in the master bathroom at the very back of the house. Fists/feet were thrown, hair was pulled, objects were hurled. I was totally dumbfounded by the punishment they took, and never again questioned a woman's ability to fight.

No lie though, I was 10 years old watching this brawl take them into every room in the house minus the garage - and if the garage door had been open it'd of been there too.

Never been to a match in person and have no desire to do such a thing. The best and most comfortbale view is from my living room sofa. I won't watch a big fight at any house but my own. I want to be in charge of the remote.

ricky hatton vs jason rowland and farnell vs takaloo,jamie moore and michael gomez were on the undercard,it was my first and last show but i have more money now so hope to see more live shows.the night was fantastic

Luke Capuano vs Mike Rossman 1980. Seeing my cousin (Capuano) fight was amazing. I remember how nuts it was and wish I could have been a little older.

Luke Capuano vs Mike Rossman 1980. Seeing my cousin (Capuano) fight was amazing. I remember how nuts it was and wish I could have been a little older.

I got an uncle who attended many boxing cards in his life. The first one he ever attended was one which took play in Atlantic City. Back in the early 80's. He said he saw Leon Spinks get knocked out and was able to see a young Juliean Jackson knock somebody out. I also remember him saying a Luke or Louis Capuano fought in the undercard. I wonder is it's the same Capuano?

Atlantic City was never kind to my cousin though.....lost both times...I think Jackson was on the undercard along with my cousin...That would have been a nice night to see the fights...

one of the first championship fights i attended was Erik Morales vs. Junior Jones at the bull ring in Tijuana. Morales KO'ed Jones in the 8th round and became new champ i think at 122 or 126.

Back in the day i saw JLCastillo in Mexicali and on the same card my uncle fought, they both KO'ed their opponents. Castillo was just getting started in Mexicali.

I saw Boone Kirkman knockout some nobody in Seatte 1967. That was the first professional fight, but I saw fights at the Casino in Ft. Worth as a child, most notably my brother who won every fight by a TKO representing the Panther Boys Club. Lord, that was the late 40s! :o

Lester Ellis Vs Barry Michael for IBF world lightweight title and then didnt see another until Jeff Fenech Vs Azumah Nelson. Kostya Tszyus Aussie debut was on Fenech undercard with i think was a 1st rnd KO. :beerchug:

Never been to one. My first was supposed to be mundine-green which would of been great but it fell through. Still waiting to go to my first, but its hard when you live in australia.
