Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
what do you think? would the hitman be able to fight somebody so tall? has he ever fought anyone that near that height? i seriously doubt he would be able to cope against him imo.

Re: Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
I would say that Ricky would KO Williams after seeing two other short guys wobble Williams.

Since you played the race card and niether Mausa nor Olivera are dark enough for your taste I must have offended your blackness or are you just easily annoyed like Shza?
I should also point out that Takie and Mausa are like 5.11" and so just two inches shorter than Williams

but to be honest takie is not a world level fighter....he is a backup for people who have came off injury or just lost a world title fight. and as for maussa he was balls as well imo he wont ever do anything in his carrer ever again, but he is fighting on friday bare that in mind ::** but its against a bum so he should win.

Tony Pep 6'1, too much body to aim at ;)

Re: Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
Ricky is small for 140, no reason to consider such a fight, Williams has a crazy freakish reach. and he is a southpaw to boot , I would never fight someone like that, that man should be fighting at 168 not 147 that crazy ! the only fight that would be competitive at 147 would be for Williams to fight another very tall fighter like Margarito. IMO

Ricky might not be a big 147 pounder but he's not a small 140 pounder. Sure he's not real tall but he's very strong for the weight.
-
Re: Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
he is perfect for 140.. but short is a big negative when moving up .147 is ridiculous for Hatton

Re: Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
So does anyone think Hatton would win? I think if he could get inside Williams arms,he would do well,Sharmba has some success but not the power,Mathysse had the power but not the experience or stamina. I think because of Williams long arms,he will find it difficult to shorten his punches, apart from the uppercutwhich he uses well. Having said all,I'd fancy Williams,Hatton hates tall southpaws right?

i would think Hatton would stay miles away from that fight, its not a good match-up. I like Margarito - Williams much better

Re: Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
Max Kellerman said last night that Williams wants to fight Calzaghe. I know strange but thats what he said
-
Re: Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
Yeah,Williams team, sayig things like that, sound foolish.about how he would go up to 168 to fight! I think a Roman Karmazin would beat on him at 154,let alone 160/168.

Yeah of course bro but I was just saying,if Hatton was to have any chance.PLus,I heard Ricky only had 7 weeks preparation time too so who knows how he could have done with more time. Like I said, very poor management.
-
Re: Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
Imo if hatton came on head skrewed on totally 100% motivated at 22,000 MEN crowd i really think those body shots and the crowd getting behind Hatton would lead to maybe a later stoppage. Has williams ever had to deal with big body shots?
-
Re: Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
I think that leaping left hook that he put on Mausa whould have even more effect against Williams

I gotta ya ! ,, you know what I noticed about Williams was he fought pretty well inside for a guy with that long reach, he was really pounding Mitchell at all distances.. If I was anyone short I would stay miles away from Williams, he make you lunge right into a huge punch, make you look bad all night long. IMO
-
Re: Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
Oh yeah he is very good and could make anyone look real bad but as soon as he gets a a relentless slugger he is in trouble in my oppinion

Hatton always going to give his best, but at some point you just get out sized, and this would be the case. simple mathematics . I really feel Hatton would get busted up trying to get inside, Williams is built strange, his arms cover his body pretty well at all times, the openings are not there like you think. and he is a volume puncher so its hard to get inside without lunging forward. I think the antidote to Williams is a tall fighter like Margarito, that’s the competitive match-up IMO

one back as well :D, but i really do feel that ricky could pull something here i just feel his experience would just beat williams i dont no if he could stand with him. margarrito would be better i do agree.

Re: Ricky Hatton- Paul Williams
Williams could make for some very interesting fights at welter and jr middle, Margarito, Judah, Mosley, Quartey, Forrest, would all be excellent match ups. Even Floyd, though I think Williams is definetly to green the size advantage would be ridiculous.. He is a real danger man, no question.

I personally want to see him fight another big name see him out by a stoppage and then challenge for a world title. he needs to make sure he is 110% ready for it and another fight could only help that.
