Sakio who ???
CC for link
thanks hes record is 20 wins 1 loss  hes ranked 16  he fought markus beyer but was stopped cause cuts on beyer and hes only loss was to sam soliman  by md and cc back at u big h
and it looks like whoever wins out of woods and johnson will fight calzaghe in febuary and looks like after that fight calzaghe could be fighting taylor or wright and johnny nelson will be fighting enzo good news to hear
Joe aint got that many fights left in him IMO
so id have prefered to see him in superfights only from now on :-\
If Clinton can get through his next fight... not an easy task.
Calzaghe - Woods would be a great UK and UK promoters showdown 8)
You can't ever say Joe has ducked anyone :beat:
This is the bullshit that I can't stand from fighters...they say they are the best and yet SELDOM challenege themseleves to achieve more. Joe is going to retire soon and we'll never say he handled anyone and everyone....he beat an OLD Chris Eubank and a YOUNG Jeff Lacy he never fought anyone in their prime and never beat anyone near their prime!
It ain't like the fights are not there to be made...Green, Kessler, Johnson, Tarver, Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr., Jermain Taylor, Chad Dawson....Clinton Woods. Joe has all the choices in the world and he choses this fucker...it's  a damn shame
after this fight in october looks like calzaghes got some good fights ahead of him
yea but who else really was there to fight ?? beyer kessler busy hopkins retired at moment woods and johnson busy so i this is ok opponent there are bigger fights next year he will be fighting so dont worryQuote:

Personnaly I won't watch this bout, Joe should hqve taken a MAJOR fight.
Kessler, RJJ, Tarver, Bhopkins, Taylor, someone with credits.
kessler is fighting beyer roy jones wont fight him yet tarver wont fight him either after way he got handled by hopkins. hopkins is retired at moment and taylor doesnt wana move up yet hes still got unfinished buisness at middleweight with wrightQuote:

tell me who else he could of fought ??
Yes it would although a little disappointing (like this Sakio fella) as Calzaghes MEGA fightQuote:

So much for Markussens chance... It'll never happen for this guy
Rudy Markussen has been the rightful mandatory for Calzaghe for over one year now
Many fighters have found themselves waiting years and years as mandatory, and WBO did nothing. That is another reason why WBO is a joke organisation and in the pockets of their champs
i dont know why people are complaining he will be fighting winner of woods and johnson then they say possiblity of him fighting wright or taylor or if he wants to he could fight winner of beyer and kessler
Carl Froch................he would have been the best option. a british showdown, Carl can be shut up by JC and he is better know than SakioQuote:

I remember Calzaghe` fan saying "Kessler and Taylor are not interesting for Calzaghe now. He is moving to LH to fight Hopkins or RJJ. Only mega fights from now on. Others said: "No, Kessler will not sell enough tickets - HBO is deciding and they want only mega names".
B i k a.... who?
if this wasn't so sad, it would actually be funny...
well he did fight beyer and after 4 rounds two judges had fight even he fought sam soliman and just lost md and remember soliman gave wright quite tough fight and went 12 round with him
Key-word being IFQuote:

With 2 belts (well wbo only counts as 1/2 belt) dosent he have a mandatory?
I saw this a minute ago on sky sports news and my immediate reaction was 'WHO!?', JC really needs to move on from Lacy to bigger and better things not taking another step down!

;D yea that was funny as hell lol
I understand your point Ice cold, sure I know that the other are too busy right now, or fighting at another weight classes or yet, some are too old (RJJ, Tarver) but still we're a little bit disappointed, a direct fight against johnson would have been so great.
But I definitely understand your point, and anyway, it's good to see him back in action.
CC :coolclick:at you for defending Joe.
yea cc back at ya mate
Joe should have fought some like Mundine, Andrade, Bute. Atleast someone ranked in the top 10 would have been nice. There must be a lot of Hatton haters out there cause when there was talk of Hatton/ Urango he got sh*tted on for taking on a nobody. Same goes here for me with Joe. Fight someone decent man!!!
all big fights will happen for him next year before anyone starts dissing joe what until next year when he can fight winner of woods and johnson ect if he doesnt fight anyone like that ill agree with u but please wait for 2007
I know what your saying bro but no one waited for Hatton to fight Urango then move onto Castillo or other big fights. People just started dissing him for taking a easy fight. Same goes here bro. There were opponents Joe could have faced & would have got respect for, the 3 I mentioned earlier Erdei, Adamek hell even Soliman!Quote:

how good is markus beyer ive never seen him ??
He's pretty crap mate, should have lost to Green in the 1st. Lost to Sanavia who was beaten by Morrade Hakker the guy was in a mis-match with Hopkins. Also got a gift over Lucas who Green demolished.Quote:

Personally I'd like him to shut up Froch, but I don't know if he's still injured, he broke his thunb against Magee.
As a Calzaghe fan, I confess I'm a little disappointed at this announcement, it wasn't a name that people were talking about as one of his final three 'career-making' fights. But, to be fair to Bika, he was way ahead of Beyer until the cuts stoppage, and could have been walking into this fight with Joe as a champ.
As for this:
He's said that he's only got three fights left, can he really convince all the doubters in two fights? In my mind, in order to create the legend he has to beat two fighters, the winner of the Kessler-Beyer fight, and the winner of Johnson-Woods. The problem is, however, that, the fight at light-heavy has been provisionally scheduled for early next year, which would mean that he would have to come back down to fight the winner of Kessler/Beyer.Quote:

If he does try and come back down for a SMW fight next summer, he could be going in undefeated, but without any titles because he's had to vacate them both for the bigger money fight.
